Alaya communicated several times with me before our trip to Mexico and was very detailed in describing our meeting place. She is charming and a fun person to be with. She was able to tell us about the history and the many streets we walked on, including the park through which we walked. She was sure to take us through the market and pointed out good ice cream. At our stopping point, she directed us to La Casa Azul, only 2 blocks away. We had a great time exploring the history and culture of Coyoacán with Nalleli. She was great company as she showed us the attractions of this vibrant part of Mexico City. More importantly she made its rich history come alive - from the days of Cortez through the Frida Kahlo /Diego Rivera era to the modern theatre and art movements. Walking around Coyoacan would have been OK by myself, it's got parks and cafes and markets, but seeing it with someone who knows the city and its history so deeply was so much better! Nalleli taught me a ton about how the area fits into Mexico City's culture and history, and we got to see a lot of niche spots that I would have never found. It was really nice having someone show me the little museums, cafes, and historical buildings I would never have access to without local insight (or any real Spanish-speaking ability). Nalleli is a gem and I would gladly learn more from her.Had the Best Time in Coyoacan!

We loved learning more about Coyoacan: the culture, the people, the traditions, the coffee and ice cream, and the history. Since we had already been to the Frida Museum, we wanted to dig deeper, and Alaya provided a hands-on walking tour. We learned so many "local" tidbits about the area that you don't often read in a guidebook. Put on your walking shoes because the best way to see the area is by walking through it. We were even "blessed" in one of the parks and saw so many families and couples eating, dancing, eating, listening to music, and enjoying life. Alaya brought it alive for us by telling us the back stories, and showing us where to get away from the hubbub of one of the largest cities in the world! Daniel was such a great guide. His love for Cuyoacan came through and helped us fall in love with the neighborhood. It was so special to see everything through his eyes, interacting with local merchants and others. He also knew so much about the history and culture of the area and Mexico City more widely. Yván was very promptly responsive to my query for a personalised tour of Coyoacán, and was highly accommodating to my preferred time and different starting and ending points. He was early at our meeting point, which I appreciated. He gave easy-to-understand basic information on the historical, cultural and socio-political realities of Coyoacán in particular and Mexico in general, and took me off the beaten track, according to my stated interests and questions, and was not afraid to check information when he was not sure, and admit that he did not know when information could not be found. Mariel customized our tour of Coyoacan to include a tour of the Frida Kahlo museum, and as it was a very hot day, she brought a mini electric fan to help us get through the heat! We’re visiting during a heat wave and Daniel kept cool throughout the heat. He was very knowledgeable about the sights and where to go to get the best views. He was very responsive when we needed to find water or a bathroom and even accommodated a random interest from my son to see Pokémon. We got to see so many things and feel like we know that part of town so much better after the tour. Daniel was great!Fun and flexible way to see everything

We did this tour with Mariel just a few short hours after stepping off the plan in Mexico City. It was the perfect introduction to the city – nice and chilled out while still being extremely informative and varied. We learned so much while walking around the Coyoacan neighbourhood and loved exploring this non-touristy area of the city. Mariel was extremely kind and very easy to talk to. We could have easily spent the whole day with her just chatting away! We were also peckish after arriving, so she was kind enough to take us to a few street food stops... that ended up being some of the best food we ate for our entire stay!
