On our todays stop by cruiseship in Georgetown, Penang we had an excellent tour with Joo Bee. She showed us all the Street Art in the City and many more highlights including temples and mosques. She knows everything about the history of Penang and the art and artist and could answer every question we had. I addition she gave us lots of opportunities for what to do and were to eat after the tour and adjusted the tour to our wishes. We had a great time and highly recommend her. Went on a Street Art walk with our guide Joo Bee. It was so much more. Our stroll through the heart of Georgetown, Penang touched on art, history, travel and culture. Remy was amazing! The tour had a good pace - not too fast, not too slow. We saw all the best spots, including some secret paintings, and Remy knew all the history behind them. Sometimes you do a Withlocals tour with a guide who you know, you’ll always remember. That guide becomes one of the best parts of your trip! Remy was this person and more! I adore seeing Street Art around the world and always hope a tour will give me some very unique insights into the pieces, place, artists, their beliefs. This tour did not disappoint! Remy is a very gifted man, artistic, passionate & patient. He took care to explain everything to us- he never rushed and actually went over time, making sure we understood everything we needed to. He is Penang, born and bred. He knows and he cares. We loved our day so much we ate dinner that night at his restaurant @ De- Brick in Georgetown. Mohd Remyzan hat ziemlich rasch gemerkt, was mir gefällt und worauf ich eher keine Lust habe. Genau darauf ist er eingegangen. Alles war sehr entspannt, teilweise witzig und immer mit Blick auf die Seele der Bilder. Manches war sehr unerwartet und ohne Hinweis nie zu finden. Danke, lieber Mohd! We were a group of four, comprised of three generations and a mix of international and domestic tourist to Penang. Remy was a thoughtful guide and was mindful that my folks had some mobility challenges. He was punctual and worked with the time constrain that we had. I had asked for a blend of highlights of street art with a sprinkle of history thrown in and he delivered! Remy was an amazing guide, we did his Penang Street tour with our 3 sons (16, 13 and 11). The boys were not looking forward to this tour, by the end they were having the best time. Remy was able to engage them in a very authentic and natural way, they didnt notice how far they had walked and were asking questions. Remy was very knowledgeble about Penang, its art and history and showed us things that were not on the maps. We were able to duck into arcades to wait for the passing rain. He took us to some hidden gems including great coffee, Chinese egg tarts and cookies, some local KRAXX, we made wishes on ribbons and some family memories. We took many photos. Remy also recommended some things for us to do after our tour and amazing places to eat. We never felt rushed, and while the boys were reluctant at the start (this was Mum's choice) at the end they were saying how much fun they had and were secretly disappointed our time had to end. Thanks Remy for an amazing tour and for helping with lasting holiday memories.Awesome Fun!

We did the Street Art tour with Remy. He was able to accommodate a larger group of 14 which included 10 teenagers. Remy was extremely knowledgeable,he was able to take us to both the famous, well known art, but also to places off the beaten track which was amazing. He was happy to move at our pace, making regular stops for rest and refreshments when we needed them. He kept our teenagers interested throughout the tour (a major accomplishment!). He really took the time and went out of his way to ensure we had a fantastic experience. There is no other tour guide we would now rather use. And due to his local knowledge, he was able to advise us of places to go, things to see and things to do during our stay in penang. Absolutley fabulous

Remy was an amazing guide to our party of 6. He expertly guided us through the streets of Georgetown, explaining the origins of iconic street art spots and helped us take some great photos! Along the way, he also stopped by some local interesting stores which gave us some bonus insights and we had a chance to tase some yummy delicacies. We had 4 seniors (60, 70+) on the tour so understandably walked at a slower pace. Remy was the most accommodating and we did not feel rushed at all. I would highly recommend taking this tour with Remy to see some hidden street art gems in Penang! Awesome street art walking tour!

We were so lucky to have booked Remy for our street art tour in Penang . Remy is profession , friendly , caring and most passionate about Penang’s street art and his history and knowledge is PHD level. He brought us to places that even the locals don’t know about.. My biggest regret is not having the tour earlier so I can do his other food and history tours . We left the day after the tour . Another surprise we got from him was going to his cafe De Brick at night for dinner . I highly recommend everyone to go and have a meal there . The chicken schnitzel was the best in the world ! My mocktail was so refreshing and tasted even better than the ones I had at Nobu . 😝😝 Cannot wait to go back to Penang so we can have Remy show us the food and history tour . Remy was the best local guide we could have asked for. He took us to the street art that were uncommon to tourists through the street alley and giving us the history of the area along the way when we passed by something historical. Stopped by at a snack vendor along the way, which he said had the best samosa in town. So true! My kids and I also had dinner at his cafe De’Brick. His wife cooked which I can say the best Mee Udang so far, since I usually don’t like thick broth on my noodles. Thickness was just right. Biggest regret was I only knew him on my last day in Georgetown. But will come back and do the island tour and food tour with Remy, no doubt! Truly like a local!

Had a super 3 hour walking trip with Remy! He didn’t bore us with too much heavy info - and took us around George Town to see the street art. He is very passionate about his country and home town - which comes out on his tour. We also loved enjoying a bit of street food and a local dish to finish at one of his friends cafe’s. Great value too. We definitely wouldn’t have found most of the art without his experience!! Recommended - enjoy!! Nice friendly guide

First I just wanna say that Amar is probably a nice person, but he is definitely not a tour guide. I‘m sorry, Amar! But he didn’t tell us anything, neither about the city or culture nor about the street art. He almost didn’t talk at all. He told us it was his first tour, so we didn’t expect it to be perfect, but this just felt like a joke and a rip-off. We just strolled through the streets and occasionally he showed us the street art spots, but most of them we even discovered on our own! Seriously Amar, read something before the next tour, make notes, so you can tell the people something. We paid 50 Euros for 2 people for which should have been a private tour, but then there were two other people on our tour. This would hsbe been fine if it was actually a good tour but it wasnt. It shouldve lasted 2.5 hours but we were fone after 1 hour. Just a huge rip-off! Huge rip-off!

Excellent tour with Remy. He customised an Off The Beaten Track (street art) x food tour for us. Great mix, saw things we may not have come across on our own as well as ate things we wouldn’t have ordinarily tried. Enjoyed some of the food that we went back for more the next day! Remy also owns a café. Although he doesn’t take you there on the tour, we were intrigued and had a small meal there on our own which we also enjoyed.
