We had a great couple of hours with Joao where he showed us another (non-tourist) side of Porto. We chose Joao because of his knowledge of street art and he did not disappoint. His enthusiasm is inspiring. We really felt that we saw a part of Porto that we would otherwise have not known about. It was clear he loves the city and loved showing it to us. He was able to answer all our questions about art, history of the city and even practical ones like where we could post our postcards or how long traffic to the airport would take ( we got there on time 😊). This tour was one of the highlights of our 3 day visit to Porto and that is all thanks to Joao! Amazing Art Tour!

Bruno delivered an excellent tour, providing fantastic information throughout. The pace and the vibe of the tour was spot on. Bruno is both friendly and charismatic, with a wealth of knowledge. It was a delight spending a late Sunday morning with Rosa. She’s insightful and knowledgeable about Porto, through the ages to the present day. We learnt a lot on this ‘Off the Beaten Track’ tour of Porto and it differed from the ‘Highlights of Porto’ tour we took on the first day of our trip. We started from a quiet, high up spot, with an unfolding gorgeous view of the river. Rosa lead a peaceful, meandering tour through the tiny, sometimes cobbled, ancient streets, imparting history and stories as we progressed. She covered so many different aspects, from history, social issues, local tales and local people of interest, religion, royalty, architecture etc. She’s even inspired us to do the Pilgrim walk in the future! Rosa’s a calm, intelligent and relaxed, lovely lady who tells and pitches a story very well and without judgement. We were provided with interesting detail and information and given space to make our own judgements and conclusions. Rosa’s an exceptional storyteller and we really appreciated her style. Carlos traf uns pünktlich am vereinbarten Treffpunkt und zeigte uns in 2,5 Stunden nicht nur die bekannten Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt, sondern auch unbekanntere Stellen, die wir nicht beachtet oder gewusst hätten. Er mischte auch neuere Aspekte der Stadt Porto ein, so dass es eine abwechslungsreiche Tour war. A great experience full of hidden gems and off the track routes with Jorge. We had a wonderful time with Jorge in Porto. He clearly communicated where to meet and what time. He asked us our wants and needs and ensured we saw the most of Porto. 2.5 hours was a perfect time, ending with a glass of Port over looking the river. Jorge was a great host! He even directed our tour past the hotel so we could drop some bags. We loved the route he took us, walking down streets we would have never found on our own! I’m a middle aged single woman traveling solo. Rosa gave me a gorgeous overview of the city and helped me decide where to prioritize my time during my short stay. She led me down streets and alleys I never would have found by myself and shared perspective of what I was seeing to help understand Porto as a really city filled with real people. Wir haben eine private Tour mit Carlos gebucht, da wir den Schwerpunkt gerne auf die nicht ganz so ausgetretene Pfade in Porto legen wollten und wir an Street-Art interessiert sind. Carlos hat uns herzlich empfangen und uns durch Porto geführt, mit vielen wirklich tollen Street-Art-Spots, Sehenswürdigkeiten, guten Bar- und Restaurant-Tipps. Er hat uns viel über die Einwohner, die Streetart-Szene, die Kunstwerke erzählt, so dass wir nach unserer Tour, dank ihm, auch immer wieder selbst ein paar Werke der Künstler in der Stadt erkennen konnten. Die Tour war abwechslungsreich, kurzweilig und interessant. Er hat ein umfassendes Wissen über Porto und wir können eine Tour mit ihm absolut empfehlen!!
