Valentin was my guide, he is a also a very good a photographer and so was able to adapt to my requirements with ease. He is very Knowledgeable and great to chat to and get along with. we paid £140 for 2 people to have a tapas tour, we got the food equivalent of no more than £25. Marcos met us in front of the Mercado Central and asked questions to get to know us a bit before taking us on a walk around the historical center of Valencia. Since we had already been in the city for a few days, he made sure not to take us to places we had already visited, and instead offered new, refreshing information that only locals can provide, put events and places into historical context, and paid a lot of attention to our 8 year old son, trying to make the experience fun and interesting for him as well. We are very pleased to have chosen Marcos for our tour, and highly recommend him for family tours, and any other type of traveler interested in the culture and history of Valencia. Before we commenced our tour with Luciana we exchanged WhatsApp messages re meeting up and she finished with “ Let’s have fun “ . That’s exactly what we had on this tour . We met at 7pm and essentially had a night out - food tasting and drinking in very well chosen tapas restaurants and bars . We had a great time with Marcos. In the time allotted, he took us to so many places and site. He gave us the rich history and knowledge of each stop. It was extremely hot, and he made small tweaks in the tour to ensure we were in the shade, stopped for water, and were doing ok overall. This was the perfect way to start my visit to Valencia! Maria was such a lovely, knowledgeable guide. The initial connect with Cesar over Whatsapp was very pleasant, it was very easy to find him at the meeting point. We started at the Fresh Market where he showed us some nice tastings that we would have never stopped for. Then we continued to a tapas shop accross the square were we had Paella and fried shrimps. We continued to see a few more sights, and also the Silk Exchange where Cesar shared interesting historical facts. Overall Cesar is a very friendly guide, he could be a bit more sharing on own initiative but we consider this a minor point. Lovely tour through Valencia
