   Stop to the statue dedicated to Saint Rosalia, at the high Belvedere on top of the mountain, where to enjoy the view

6. S.Rosalia Sanctuary

   Visit to Saint Rosalia Sanctuary, along with its compelling history of mistery and spine-tingling legends

7. Mondello Beach

   Stop near Piazza Valdesi, where we leave the car for a nice stroll by the beach

8. Mondello Square

   Stop on the main square in Mondello, with a reserved table in a nice kiosk on the beach, where to enjoy a spritz by the sea

9. Partanna Mondello

   Stop in a small restaurant bistrot, family owned since four generations, where to enjoy a tasty meal of various typical delicacies and freshly fried calamari

    The tour ends back to bar Alba in Piazza Don Bosco, or alternatively, if the guests wants to indulge in Mondello, at Bar Alba in the same Mondello, located at Piazza Valdesi.

My wife and I arranged for Dario to collect us from Palermo airport and provide us with a private tour of Palermo. Having never visited Italy before, it was our introduction to Italy. Dario was organised, friendly and flexible - the tour was adjusted as we went along to allow us to have our first Italian Caffe Doppio - the best in Italy. He was very knowledgeable about the city. We finished our tour with an Aperol Spritz and beer on the beach enjoying an amazing view. We cannot recommend Dario highly enough and plan to return to Palermo on our next visit and do a wine and food tour with him. Thanks so much for starting our holiday in such a memorable way after a 17 hour flight from Australia. Amazing introduction to Italy!

We had an amazing day with Dario on our hills and seas tour. We had our sons with us who were 12 and 16. He kept them engaged throughout and even got our picky eater to try pistachio gelato for the first time, which he ended up loving. The spritzes and lunch by the beach were lovely. Cannot recommend this tour enough!

It's only 3 hours but good to get out of the city on a hot day. The sanctuary was a bit of a surprise and the lunch a refreshing break in a typical Italian beach resort before heading back. Dario was very easy to get on with and a very good driver. Highly recommended. Surprise sanctuary

We had a nice time on our food walking tour with Dario. The variety of foods was plentiful, and we got to see a lot of the city. Would’ve liked a little more time at the market to shop, as we didn’t see anywhere else to shop after that. Luckily I was able to quickly grab some spices and sun-dried tomatoes! We found souvenirs and food related items were incredibly inexpensive in Palermo versus other stops on our cruise. Dario was very friendly and showed us lots of yummy new things! Dario ist ein ausgesprochen freundlicher Palermitano, der an vielen Ecken Leute kannte und grüßte. Neben den Hintergründen zu den Gerichten gab er uns auch immer wieder Infos zum historischen Kontext und dessen Beziehung zu den lokalen Spezialitäten (bspw. Arancina / Arancino). Wir haben uns mit Dario von Anfang an sehr wohl gefühlt und gerne alles ausprobiert, was er uns angeboten hat. Bei einigen Streetfoods (bspw. Panelle), die wir zuvor bereits probiert hatten, konnte er uns noch besser schmeckende und tatsächlich frischer zubereitete Alternativen zeigen. Insgesamt war es von der Menge sehr viel und mehr als eine Mahlzeit pro Person, aber wer mit leerem Magen und offenem Herzen kommt, wird mit Dario eine fantastische Zeit haben. I meet Dario in front of a church and we started with a first drink outside a very crowded bar. Next stop was on an old market place in Kalsa (part of Palermo) at a Bar&Restaurant where we had the second drink and nice original street food. Last stop was also outside a nice bar with the final drink. Drinks was Beer, Wine and Spritz. During walking through Palermo center, Dario explained me a lot about the city and the island.
