Isabel was such a lovely guide and our tour was really good! She explained lots of different details during the tour, pointing out famous movie scenes that took place in certain locations, mixing it with some sculpture insights (in the Rodin museum) and history. She was super kind and always happy to answer to all our questions, even about the Parisian lifestyle. I totally recommend this tour and Isabel in particular. We loved it! Such a nice tour!

One of our favourite parts of our trip. Isabelle was friendly and my children and myself immediately felt comfortable with her🙂 She had lots of interesting facts to share about Paris and pointed out things that we would not have otherwise noticed or crossed paths with. The bookstores were a highlight. I wish we had arranged our tour with Isabel at the beginning of our trip to France rather than at the end. We would have loved to return to the flower shops and wandered again past the book stalls along the river. We will just have to come back to Paris!It was great!

She did research ahead of time to find special places to help my daughters learn about their favorite scientist. Isabel was kind, friendly and very knowledgeable. Isabel was such an interesting, engaging tour guide, and perfect for our 7- and 10-year-olds. We had arrived on a redeye flight in the morning, dropped our bags off, went to lunch, and then met Isabel for our tour - I was a little hesitate about how our kids would do. It turned out that we had such a lovely tour - a nice, leisurely stroll through the Île de la Cité and the Left Bank. She's a wealth of information, and both our kids and us adults found the tour to be fun and informative. We would take quick detours if there was something brought up that one of us wanted to see, or we would stop occasionally for a treat, or if she took us to a place like the climbing wall on the banks of the Seine, and the kids wanted to burn off some energy. Outside the tour, Isabel herself is fascinating - but she can tell you about that. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone, kids or no kids. Our Kids Loved Isabel

We took the Architecture Tour with Isabel. She is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about buildings in general, and specifically the historic ones we visited. She was also flexible enough to modify the tour a bit to get back near enough to where we were staying by a certain time as my husband had to leave a bit early for a meeting. If you are looking for a great personal tour, look no further...Isabelle did a FANTASTIC job going through a slice of Paris. She walked us through a neighborhood and explained how each neighborhood has its own subculture. It was wonderful to get to not be lost in a crowd of other tourists and she was able to make the tour personal. We visited some great places with treats and she taught us how Parisians live their life. We went through a local market, grabed some cheese, went to a bakery and finished up with some wine. She always made sure it was something we'd want to eat. We were open to any new experience and said "Yes" to almost everything though since she brought us to fantastic places. Everything we got was tailored more towards what we wanted since she would ask us a lot more about our taste preferences. We were able to ask many questions and she was able to show how knowledgable she was on the area. Isabel was a wonderful tour guide to the neighborhood. We met at the specified time of the tour and Isabel had perfectly planned out our schedule. Even when one of the pastry shops happened to be closed, she was cool and had a backup available. We thoroghly enjoyed our food tour with Isabel! Aside from the food, it was nice to learn more about St. Germaine and the neighborhood. She was so knowledgeable and planned a nice tour for us. She took us to a fresh and tasty pastry shop to start, then we stopped at the chocolate shop, then on to a wonderful wine and charcuterie restaurant. We strolled through the neighborhood, picked up some fresh cheese. We walked to Luxenbourg Gardens and had a lovely picnic and learned more about the area, talked about Paris and what to do next. She is very easy to talk to, keeps the conversation going and the process of making a portrait is not only explained, but you can also easily follow (which in normal conditions wouldnt be the case). This Sunday morning I connected with Isabel & my niece who lives far away and we had a lovely portrait painting session together. Isabel told us a bit about her & her passion for art. My niece is 6 and half years old, and she's learning English & French, and Isabel was very patient while we translated some things for her. Isabel also prepared some cool sketching exercises before we posed for the final portrait. My niece also likes to paint, so Isabel explained a bit about how she uses colors & showed us her materials. The result is a lovely portrait of the two of us, which Isabel sent in a very high resolution photo which we can both print and put up at home :) Thanks Isabel! Thoroughly enjoyed this Art and Architecture tour with Isabel, an artist and academic originating from Portugal. The tour began at plaza (fountain) fronting the historic Église Saint-Sulpice then continued throughout the Latin Quarter and concluded at the extensive, beautiful grounds of the Natural History Museum: personal highlights were visiting the beautiful Église Saint-Étienne-du-Mont (groundbreaking dates back to end-15th Century) and enjoying coffee-and-crepe at a very good local Cafe (wish I could recall specific name!). Isabel both was extremely kind and knowledgeable, sharing many place-details with corresponding historical context (very much appreciated), and assisting me at tour’s end to the Louvre then open for evening viewing (I am visually impaired). We also spoke comparatively about higher education and basic-science research vis. France and the United States (also very much appreciated).
