Pedro was AMAZING! I wanted to learn about composition and he covered this subject in a way I understood and enjoyed. In fact it was a ‘light bulb moment’ … I know why I like specific photos now, rather than just knowing I like them and not understanding why. This is knowledge I’ll take with me and I’ll improve as an amateur photographer. Pedro is definitely skilled and knows his craft! He certainly knows his way around Lisbon too. We found atmospheric streets and alleyways and I got some great shots (great for me anyway!) I found him to be great company and very chilled and easy going. After the photography, I invited him to a tiny little wine bar for some fantastic cheese and charcuterie. We had a few glasses of amazing wine and had a great laugh. The next day Pedro messaged me saying he had a slight headache! I was fine, convinced id been saved by the cheese! Thank you Pedro for a fantastic experience. Saved by cheese!

Last sunday we had a great photo shoot with Pedro. Pedro is a great person with a great sence of humor who can also take beautiful photos! We took a nice walk through Lisbon. It’s a fun way to get to know the city. We had a lot of fun. The next day we recieved 300 beautiful, funny and hylaric photos of our family! It's a wonderful memory. Spent an afternoon on a one-to-one photography walk-about with Pedro in the Alfama district of Lisbon (April 2024). It was an enjoyable and productive time photographing in the narrow and hilly cobbled streets (wear good walking shoes!), that are barely wide enough for the trams to negotiate, and in pedestrian-only laneways. Pedro was very pleasant company and an excellent guide who was keen to ensure the walk would meet my expectations. It wasn't going to be a 'one size fits all' tour. It was exactly what I wanted! I took a photo tour with Pedro whilst in Lisbon. Communications were excellent right from the start and we met up in a central area with no problems. We discussed what style of photography I did, technical competence and what I wanted to achieve. Immediately it was obvious that this was not going to be just a point and shoot tour and we spent quite a while sat down looking at compositional options and why different styles of photos worked. This blew my brain really as it was yet another area of photography to consider when taking a shot and a whole new way to look at things. For the actual tour part we wandered through the Alfama district, through Praco do Commercio and then possibly into the Bairro Alto and Baixa de Lisboa areas before returning to the hotel. I didn't take many photos but was mentally absorbing the composition as we walked and talked. Aside from photography it was fascinating to learn more about the city and country and Pedro is an engaging and entertaining guy. Despite saying the wrong name on the very first meeting, Pedro (Not Carlos) was very friendly and a great joy to be with. We met over coffee in a park for a short workshop on composition and lighting in photography, then walked the neighborhood to shoot photos. I really appreciated Pedro´s tour/workshop. He is really flexible and adaptable. He started by getting to know a little a bit about me and what was my photography level and experience to make the tour accordingly. After an in depth class covering photography theory (composition & technique) which I really needed we went on the streets of Lisbon´s oldest district and starting taking shoots. We had a great time on our photo tour with Pedro. We really liked his approach and the way he conducted the tour. The chat in the park was really useful to start things off..especially as we were at different ability levels. It really got us thinking before heading out to get snapping. Pedro understood straight away I new my way around the camera but lost in Lisbon! We wound our way around the less frequented side streets, alleys and tucked away narrow passages that make up a secluded, slow paced and real community. First and most important to me Pedro was on time, the location was easy to find and Pedro’s English was great. I’ve been a photographer for 15 years, taught youth photography in different part of the world and I still learned something from a 20 min conversation at the Cafe with Pedro about style and shapes within a photo. Our two hour community walk was filled with beautiful views, friendly people, hidden gems. It’s not the typical location you would visit but I believe one of the best to capture the joy and beauty of the country. While vacationing in Lisbon, I decided to book a photography workshop tour with my wife as Pedro our host guide. Finally reaching our meeting spot nearly over 1 hour late, Pedro was extremely patient and kind with regards to our late arrival. He first explained the basics of photography 101, suggesting the angles and divisions in the main screen shots. We walked along the old area of Lisbon and with great detail he explained the history of the local residence and transformation over the years. We discussed his background along with ours and felt quite at home . His patience and warm personality are a great attribute for visitors looking for a tour guide. Pedro was very flexible with us - we realized at the last minute that we couldn't get to the meeting place on time and he offered to meet us at whatever time we could get there. This was really a lesson for my 19 year old son, and he was very patient with him, basically explained in details the very basics of photography and how to use the camera we have, and then we walked around the very interesting and beautiful neighborhood, taking pictures along the way with tips and critiques. I even showed him a few of my i-phone pictures and he was happy to take a look and comment. My son said he didn't know what to expect before the meeting, but came away very happy , having learned a whole lot. This was the second day of our trip, and thus was able to put the new knowledge to very good use. Pedro also sent us his version of photography 101, which my son found very useful. He also told us we can send him our pictures anytime for tips or comments. We wish he lives near us, so we can meet up every so often! Highly recommended!!wonderful workshop/tour

As Pedro wasn't available at the time we wanted to go, he arranged for Caroline to take the tour. She was an excellent guide, very welcoming and open and taught myself and my friend a lot about composition. She encouraged us to take photos we wouldn't have before and always reviewed our photos and gave her expert on advice on how to improve. Pedro met us in a very timely manner, having provided excellent information for two people who had not been to Lisbon previously. The tour was planned to be a downhill walk -- which two seniors greatly appreciated. Pedro's English was very good (again, greatly appreciated by two non-Portuguese speakers). We had a wonderful time, my husband took lots of pictures, and now that we're home, we'll happily review them. My husband is a competent photographer and Pedro was able to show us his City is a way which allowed my husband to enjoy the day and the views.
