We participated in the walking tour of Florence with Elizabetta at the end of August with our 7 year old son. The information provided was excellent and interesting. However, there were a number of times that it felt rushed and that the guide was not interested in being there. There were many questions / quizzes for our child and at the end he told us it felt like too many questions and was overwhelmed. A couple of times I tried to ask a question to learn more but the guide seemed to need to keep going with her script and I didn’t feel like my questions were welcomed. At the end of the walk a treat was offered as a prize to my son. He wasn’t interested at this point. So the guide purchased a pastry at a very busy cafe for me and just left. It felt rushed and that she wasn’t really engaged in the walk. For the price I would have expected more engagement and interest. Hidden Treasures of Florence with Kids

We did this tour about an hour after our train into Florence with our 7 and 9 year old daughters. We had so much fun!! We were both running a few minutes behind schedule and Elisabetta was great at communicating and understanding our delay. Our girls loved her and loved the games/trivia she provided. We were wandering about, and even running a bit as we competed against each other (by choice!). All of us were laughing, learning and having a great time. 100% recommend. This tour was significantly more affordable than some of the others and included gelato at the end. A wonderful afternoon spent!Such a fun experience!

Our tour with Elisabetta was the best. She had good questions , cards, picture,... . We made teams with out competitive boys of 11 and 12 years old so it was exciting and fun. 2 hours just flew by and of course the icecream in the end was great. Really enjoyed our tour with Elisabetta. The weather was pretty awful, but we made the best of it, she kept us all entertained and it was good to learn a few things we didn't know. Florence is full of so many big, beautiful buildings that it is very easy to miss the details. We loved finding out some of the stories behind the symbols and other features of the city. Elisabetta was the perfect guide at the end of a long, hot day. She made it really interesting for the children and they really engaged with her, rising to the challenge of looking for clues to be able to answer the questions along the way. We cannot begin to express what a great tour we had with Elisabetta and Jeff. From the start she was warm and friendly. It is always a plus when travelling with children to start with the sweets which is exactly what we did with a super tasty bakery, followed by a Pastry Shop. We had heard about the Florence speciality lampredotto (tripe) and weren't sure if we’d like it, we told the kids it was meat and we all LOVED IT! During the tour, we heard about the history of Florence whilst we wandered from tasting to tasting and of course there was a stop for wine. No visit would be complete without gelato, which was a perfect way to end our tour. Passing palaces, markets and wine holes, we sampled some of the best street food and delights that this wonderful historic city has to offer. I wish we had more time with Elisabetta, she was great company!!! We will definitely reach out to her again next time we are in Florence!!! Guts, sweets and wine

Elisabetta was a great tour guide. Full of so much knowledge about the history and architecture of Florence. Loved hearing about the buildings and how the city was built over the years based on what was happening in the country. She took us to some unique food tastings - the pastries were okay but everything else was delicious and interesting. She accommodated a dietary restriction which we very much appreciated. On the day of the tour it started to rain and we were not dressed correctly for the weather. Elisabetta revised the tour a bit to account for the weather.
