Marek brought to life the history of Poland and Gdansk, from past and present in an educational and interesting way. As a family with teenage children, we would never have visited and experienced what we did without Marek. One of the highlights was the food, which reflected the various influencers that Poland has been influenced by throughout history. We liked that the tour was tailored to our areas of interest and food preferences. Nice that we got tips on both places to eat and where the best donuts can be bought. It was a great 6 hour tour with Marek who had thorough knowledge of Gdansk, Gdynia, Sopot and Oliwa . He gave us a fantastic understanding of the history, culture and architecture of the land. We booked a 2 hour private tour for 6 people which was great value and the perfect introduction to Gdansk. Marek arrived promptly and was an engaging, interesting and entertaining host. The tour was a really well balanced mix of history, architectural oversights and social observations. It was a really cold day but Marek held our attention throughout. We always book a walking tour on any break and Marek definitely has the skills and personality that a guide needs. 100% would recommend. Great walking tour

Leider hat Marek etwas durcheinander gekriegt und tauchte nicht auf. Wir haben eine Weile gewartet und mussten ihn dann anrufen. Immerhin hat er sich entschuldigt und einen Ersatz, Sonja, organisiert aber leider zwei Stunden später. Das hieß, dass wir unsere andere Pläne ändern mussten. Die Führung mit Sonja hat uns gefallen. Die untere Note beruht auf die Führung mit ihr.Er erschien nicht.

Marek was a very knowledgeable and patient guide. He was willing to answer all our questions and spent some extra time with us to make sure we saw everything he had planned. He gave good local advice and gave us a very good overview of Polish history with emphasis on Gdansk history which is quite unique in some ways. He was particularly interested in architecture and gave us a real appreciation for the beauty of the city. We were able to use the rest of our short time there visiting places he recommended.A great way to start our time in Gdansk

Easy booking experience, good communication with details and contacts. Markek was unfortunately unwell on the day, however arranged a collegue Christoph to cover the tour. Christoph was excellent-very personable, good knowledge and friendly. Food experience was amazing - tried local dishes (zoup)drinks experience (inc: cherry liqueur and local vodka/beer). The places we visited and the food we had, we would not of tried had we not gone on the tour. Highly recommended.Amazing Food Tour Experience

Marek took us on a short two hour tour of the old town of Gdansk that was highly interesting and entertaining. Marek’s passion, enthusiasm and extensive knowledge of the subject matter was plainly obvious, plus in spite of the short amount of time, he conveyed everything clearly and in a very enjoyable manner. Plus, when we were caught in a brief 30 minute downpour, he paused the tour while we took shelter and then resumed where we had left off, still putting in the full 2 hours of tour time. We could not recommend Marek more highly - you will be happy with your choice should you decide to use his services!Wonderful tour of old yown Gdansk

Marek was punctual and kept a good pace while keeping all the information he had to share in a very understandable format. He is very well studied with history and architecture and shared several points that are not found in tour books. He also shared recommendations to pubs and eateries from a local perspective. We had a really fantastic afternoon with Marek. He kindly put together a food and walking tour based on our requirements, and we were treated to the sights and flavours of gdansk. It is such a beautiful town! Marek is so knowledgeable about local history, and also recommended us places to go on other days (for food and cultural excursions). We are a group of 3 adults, and it was great to have a private tour with Marek. We can be a little unruly and probably demanding, and Marek dealt with us with humour and kindness. After a minor delay (5 mins due to snow related traffic) we met our host Marek. Marek was extremely knowledgable regarsing the architectural and historic sights in and around Ghdansk, which really added to the food tour. The Polish Resteraunt qe went to was first class, we experinced 10 different tastes of Ghdansk/Polish cuisine. From Sour Soup, to Pierogies and Amber Beer, it was all excellent and really ticked the box as authentic Polish cuisine tasting.
