It's been a year and we still talk about this tour with Phillipe. When we booked (in autumn) it was just the two of us and Phillipe. Getting the bikes was easy and included. We had a brief conversation about what we were interested in and then immediately set off. Our tour was uniquely tailored to our interests. I truly mean it. Phillipe sought out and emphasized the things he thought we would enjoy. We talked about ancient water pumps and 17th century pharmacy and we LOVED it. But it's not all esoteric interests. Phillipe has been in the city for decades and knows it intimately. You will see the old city from the 12th and 13th century as well as learn how to spot the parts that just "look old." You will experience the parts of the city that no one sees right in front of their face. You will take your bike places you didn't know you could take a bike in Bruges. Just make sure you keep up with Phillipe! This tour was completely worth it. If you like beautiful bike rides, interesting history, secret sights, great food recommendations, and a guide who cares, this is going to be a great for you. The Perfect way to see The Real Bruges

We had the best experience with Philippe. After messaging Philipe to see if he did a version of his incredible sounding tour non-cycling (as I can't ride a bike!), we booked his tour for our first morning in Bruges, and he was so accommodating. He knows hidden treasures and unknown places that he shared with us including gorgeous secret gardens and stunning street art we would have never found on our own. We are a family of 6 - two parents and 4 children (all adults). We wanted to see everything Bruges has to offer, and Philippee delivered fantastically! We went to Churches, hidden gems, the lot! The bikes were very modern and easy to use, and the knowledge, patience and humour was brilliant from Philippe. We even ended at a Brewery (at our request) and enjoyed some local stories - linking with our home in London. We also made a mistaken on arrival time and Philippee was VERY accommodating with the change - thank you Philippee, we had a fantastic time. Philippee = Best guide in Bruges!!

We only had a short stay in Bruges and decided to get to know the place with an insider rather than follow in the footsteps of the other tourists. It was a very cold morning but cycling kept us relatively warm and we really enjoyed listening to the history and various interesting stories about Bruges. Philippe was a great host and very knowledgeable (I'm sure he was a great lecturer as well). He reminded me a bit of one of my favourite history teachers back at school. Philippe is an insightful and articulate guide who has in-depth knowledge of Bruges past and reflections of where it is today. You are taken on a tour inside the ring to all the well known spots but also the less well known and hidden spots where Philippe explains the history. He’s also interested in you and encouraged you to ask questions to clarify your understanding. His group size is 2 or max 4 so it’s personal. We really enjoyed our private bike tour with Philippe. He is very knowledgeable and used his teacher background to engage our group. Highly recommend starting the tour at 9am. We were able to see many spots without the crowds. Also recommend buying your tickets to see Belfort and any other museum at the kiosk (at Belfort) earlier in the day. Our Best Tour

USA. Friends traveling. 55-65 age. Philippe was wonderful and so very patient. Ok, so we may not have done a lot of recent bike riding and did take a few ridiculous falls that seem hilarious now (all our fault). He loves his city and shared so much information. He took us all over, down roads and alleys we never would have found. He took his time to explain everything we saw and separated the truth from the fiction they tell the tourists. Leider konnte ich an der Fahrradtour durch Brügge mit Philippe nicht teilnehmen, aber mein Mann und unsere Freunde waren begeistert. Allerdings hätte Philippe etwas langsamer fahren können, denn die Fahrräder meines Mannes und der Freundin waren nicht so doll und hin und wieder mussten sie zusehen, wie sie den Anschluss halten.
