I really enjoyed this multi-faceted tour! We strolled the old streets and visited one of the more ornate and older temples along the river and then pedaled along the scenic river stopping to explore the mangroves along the way. Our ultimate destination was a picturesque and bustling bay teeming with history, food vendors and activity. We arrived in time to enjoy some tasty treats and take in a majestic sunset. Jessica was a great guide and a fun travel companion. I highly recommend this tour!Fun Coastal Escape from the City!

For our last day in Taipei we decided to book Jessica's 3 hour bike tour to Tamsui and we were absolutely blown away. This was one of our favorite tours and being Taiwanese, I thought this was such a cool way to see a new area I don't usually go to. Jessica's english was perfect for my fiancé, and she gave us nuggets of information around the Guandu Temple before we departed on the You Bike's for Tamsui. While we were riding, Jessica slowed down to show us cool parts of the nature preserve we were biking through. She also never hesitated to capture a picture perfect moment throughout the entire tour. Once the tour was over in Tamsui, Jessica gave us plenty of options to continue exploring in the area. This tour was so fun and I'd highly recommend not only this tour but also our great guide!A very unique and active experience!

We viewed the Mazu Temple one of over 3,000 Mazu temples in Taiwan. Mazu, goddess of the oceans, protector of fishermen and sailors. She rented biked for us and we did a 6 km bike ride along the river to Tamsui. The tide was out so we stopped at the mangrove plantation where in the mud flats were there were one arm crabs and mud fish with legs that crawled around in the mud. We walked around a bit and then had some lunch, a tofu ball with vermicelli noodles in the middle and wonton soup. It was really good to eat. She was fun and knowledgeable. Tamsui with Jessica

Jessica was great! She gave my husband and myself little nuggets of information that we wouldn't have gotten otherwise from tour books or a large tour group. I loved the bike ride where we got the sun, sea breeze and great scenery. A great break from city life, which was exactly what we were looking to get away from. The lunch at Tamsui was so good I'm still thinking of it! Definitely recommend if you are looking for an intimate tour that let's you burn off some of the calories from all the night market feasting!Off the beaten track

Les and I really loved our bike tour with Jessica which was a half day historical tour starting in Guandu. Straight away she made a connection with us through her travels in her New Zealand so needless to say, she was a hit with us. Jessica is very knowledgeable about local history and also about what is currently happening in Taiwan. I was really impressed with her knowledge about current affairs between our two countries in particular the DNA testing that supports a link between indigenous people here in this country and in New Zealand. In particular I wanted to find out more about the facial tattooing of indigenous Taiwanese women, one of reasons we decided to visit Taiwan. I really enjoyed your insights about this topic Jessica so thank you very much. Next time we visit, we will do the city tour with you but mean while we will go home and practice riding with an open umbrella - only then can we say to bike like a local. Bike like a local

I just experienced the private bike tour in historical tamsui with Jessica. It was a very memorable 5 star experience that totally blew me away. Jessica was awesome. Chia-chief was absolutely brilliant. We met as arranged and off we went stopping to point out many places that would interest us. Even though the tour was for 3 hours she added an extra part at the end because she thought it would interest us. She was great fun and we laughed the whole tour. She is an incredibly bubbly person and we loved being in her company. At the end of the tour she said she had finished work for the day and just hung out with us because she had enjoyed our company. Jessica was great giving us a quick overview and cycling tour of downtown Taipei. I had trouble finding someone to arrange transportation from the airport as when you have limited time in a layover the last thing you want to do is deal with all the logistic headaches of getting to and from the airport. I found out after the fact, Jessica does that and wish we would have Avoided all the craziness of their subway system. I would recommend booking Jessica as the one Guide who can do this for you if you have a quick layover in Taipei.Good layover tour of Taipei

We chose Jessica to take us on a day trip from Taipei to Yeliou Geopark and Jiufen. She picked us up on time in a very comfortable car. She speaks very good English and was friendly and conversational. She even went above and beyond by booking dinner for us in a Jiufen tea room. A wonderful day and we highly recommend Jessica. I travel all the time and I've never left the airport during a layover- but this layover was 8 hours and my friend and I decided to give it a try. We made arrangements with Jessica because we loved her profile and she made it so easy! She picked us up right at the airport, stored our luggage and we were off. Even though we only did a few hours, Jessica was so knowledgeable and answered all our questions (a big feat considering we are both professors!). She knew a lot about history and also contemporary things going on in the city. It was truly a great introduction of Taipei! We will definitely be contacting Jessica again when we return.Best. We did a 3-hour tour with Chia-chien Jessica and we are so glad that we did! She took us around to some city highlights that we never would have found on our own and she explained the history of Taiwan as well as some of the culture and traditions in a way that was super engaging and interesting. Me, my wife and our 6 year-old had a very fun layover in Taipei after a grueling 14+ hr flight from Los Angeles. We are so happy we booked this trip to make the most out of our 10 hour layover at TPE. Jessica picked us from the airport early in the morning, drove us to the center of Taipei to see some of the sights, explained a lot of interesting landmarks and historical facts along the way and took great pictures of our family. For lunch, she took us to a bustling small eats place near the the Chiang Kai-Shek memorial, and from there to Sogo for some quick shopping for Hello Kitty paraphernalia for our daughter. Then, she bought us boba tea, drove us around some more and finally back to the airport to catch our next flight. The price was very reasonable considering she spent like 6 hours driving us around and walking us to various places. Jessica is passionate and very knowledgeable about Taiwan's history and the tour is highly recommended for history nerds like me. She is also a very safe driver in her Tesla X. A very nice day out around Taipei with Jessica, despite the rainy weather. Visited both waterfalls in Shifen, released a lantern and strolled around in the Old Street of Jiufen. We had Jessica for our night market tour as well as our city tour the next day. Jessica was great at making sure we tried all the foods we wanted and quick at navigating us to the next destination. We learned so much about the food, culture and history of Taiwan.
