We had the most amazingly fun filled day trip with Alex. There were 5 of us all family. He made coffee for us on the boat..lunch..and took us to the most beautiful places to swim in the sea. I booked this tour with Alessandro for my girlfriend and me to have a private tour. The whole process of booking the tour was very easy. Alessandro was very patient when answering all of my questions. On the day of the tour he picked us up at our hotel. He was on time, which isn’t easy in Neapels! :) On the way to the boat he managed to tell us about Neapels while driving safe… also something not guaranteed in Italy. ;) The tour itself was such a great experience! To say this tour was above our expectations is to say the least. Alex made it easy to meet him and as soon as we arrived he already had breakfast and coffee waiting for us on the boat. The boat itself was beautiful and had plenty of seating and places for sunbathing. Alex was great and brought us to whichever sights we wanted to see. We opted to go to Capri for a few hours and see the grottos and swim. It was fantastic! Not to mention Alex was a great host with a lot of local knowledge of the history of the area and also a passion for his career. If you have time, take this tour! You will not be disappointed. Alex was the best host we could ask for. He was in touch with us straight away, even before the tour date, He worked with us to be flexible to give us the best possible experience, as our excursion was one that was very dependant on weather and tide. He switched the date with us to get us the best chance of seeing Grotto Azurra, however it was closed on the day as the waves were too aggressive, so instead Alex took us round to see some other beautiful places on Capri island sheltered from the wind and tide. He let us dictate the day, but gave us his opinion on what would work best for our itinerary, all while giving us insight into the area, the history and some interesting facts. He was very much on our wavelength and made us feel comfortable and relaxed from the offset on his beautiful boat- Dragon Heart 2. We shared the day with Alessandro while our cruise ship was in port in Naples for a day. We had be to Capri previously and thought a day on a boat enjoying the beautiful waters would be a memory for a lifetime - and we were right!! Alessandro was SOOO professional through all steps of the process and went out of his way to make our day special. The boat was large and comfortable, the food he provided was delicious (and the beer and prosecco were nice touches as well). Alex was beyond wonderful! He accommodated us as we were traveling from Florence to Naples to arrive by 1330 and our trip started at 1400. He kept in contact with us professionally and made sure all our wishes were granted. From drink, to food, to even his own organic plums from his garden, which were amazing. Really the trip we needed after traveling that whole morning. What really clinched everything was the places he took us. Since an afternoon trip, he said less of the masses crowding everything. Even our daughter, got a bit sea sick and he just moved the boat to a grotto that was more calm- He really is a great guide with excellent knowledge of his home city. We had a truly wonderful tour with Alessandro. He revealed layer after layer of the city to us. Alessandro is very passionate about his home town! He showed us so many interesting things that are pretty hidden unless you know where to look. We knew Naples was known for food, but Alex went way beyond a basic food tour and was able to weave culture and history into the tour and keep it interesting. We did tours in Rome, the Vatican, Pompei, and Barcelona, and our 18 year old said this tour was the highlight of our trip. If you travel with a 17-19 year old, you know this is high praise. Lolll. Alessandro was very communicative prior to the tour, keen to understand our needs and adapted a personalised walking and food tour. I only started planning 5 days prior and he made it very efficient. We organised to meet at 3pm on a Friday and I wasn’t sure how hungry my 11 and 15 year old boys would be. Alessandro was very helpful in the planning to incorporate food quantity and timing flexibility. On the day, he updated about arrival time, was very communicative, easy to chat with. An excellent suggestion by him to start in the hills. Interesting insights into how Naples developed as a city over time, including walking through the varied neighbourhoods Food interspersed between walks also an excellent - he read us well, gave many options some of which were quite interesting, a mixture of popular food versus ones that only the locals would have. Alessandro felt like a friend of a friend, the rapport was there from the start. The fact that he was fluent in English and well travelled ( 4 years around the world) meant that not only was he a great communicator but he had perspective on life and his own culture. He’s a proud Neapolitan and was open to talking about all aspects of life in Naples. We’ll never be able to enjoy what is considered as mozzarella in Australia again. It wasn’t just about sampling Neapolitan food, he gave so much meaning to what we sampled and also explanations of other foods we didn’t try, for example today when we walked through the market I was able to identify the special endemic and peculiarly shaped tomato’s that can last up to 4 months in a bunch. We met Alessandro in the city centre easily. We came for Sorrento on the train. Good comms with booking and we customised our 3 hr trip. He is vey knowledgeable about Napoli and it’s history and geology as well as showing us a great snap shot of his city. We ate the best mozzarella and parmigiana we have ever eaten. After a 9 hour journey to Naples (horrible airport delays), my 7 girl friends and I arrived at our hotel and were ready for the start of our adventure. Alessandro was our first guide of our trip. One hour after our arrival we were greeted by a beaming Alex accompanied by a waiter carrying very welcome cold and delicious Aperol Spritzes along with our first food tasting - what a joyous welcome and a great way to start our adventure!! We did the amalfi coast day trip tour with Alessandro (Alex). There were 6 of us so we rented a car from the central station to fit us all and Alex drove us on the tour. We skipped the part of the tour that would have taken us to opilantis because we had visited Pompeii the previous day. So instead he took us to spend some time in sorrento. The stops for the views were absolutely stunning!!!! We were there on a day with bad weather and lots of cloud coverage so we didn’t get to even fully experience the views but the were breathtaking anyways!!! The lunch at the restaurant was delicious and such an cool experience. All the food is grown right there on the mountain and meats were local too, they serve whatever they have in season. The hike down to the coast from the restaurant was a wonderful surprise with views that were to die for! We all truly enjoyed this tour and Alex was the perfect tour guide, he really made the experience that much more enjoyable! The only thing we didn’t like was the crazy road we had to drive up and down the mountain, blind curves like we have never experienced so if you get car sick be prepared!!!Awesome day!!!

What a great tour Alessandro set up for us, somehow he included everything we wanted to see on the Amalfi Coast with almost no crowds and at very little cost relative to what one would expect. The Roman Villa at Oplontis gives one a similar experience to Pompeii and Herculaneum except with only 1 or 2 other tourists there aside from us, just beautiful. The agriturismo high above Positano has a delicious “zero kilometer” lunch, all local ingredients, a cliff side sea view down the green mountainside- again similar to Ravello or other towns along the coast but at a fraction of the price- I think it was only €100 for 5 of us and we were given a lot of food! After lunch the hike down from the agriturismo into Positano is reminiscent of the Path of the Gods but without the hassle, time/ logistical requirements, or crowds. In the last stop in Amalfi town the crowds can’t be avoided but the lemon desserts are a must so it’s a necessary evil. Alessandro was so helpful and flexible in changing the pickup location for us as we were coming from a different direction to begin the tour and also changing the day of the tour to avoid traffic (hint: avoid weekends at all costs)- if you need that just ask him. One other tip: make sure he’s covered under the insurance to drive your rental car- I promise it will be worth it to let him drive, at least in some areas where parking is difficult to find, as well as for him picking you up after the hike down into Positano. This saved us a lot of time and effort which allowed us to see and do more. For our group this was the perfect way to do a full day tour on the Amalfi Coast with a sufficient sample of each of the best sights, activities and food with as little crowds, traffic and expense as possible… Grazie Mille, Alessandro!Perfect “under the radar” Amalfi Coast day

What an amazing day! I surprised my girlfriend by booking a weekend to Naples and a Amalfi day tour with Alessandro. He was very flexible and we had contact by phone to custimize the tour. During the tour at the best spot ever I proposed my girlfriend. Thanks to Alessandro this was a day never to forget. We felt very safe because of the driving skills of Alessandro and he took all Covid-19 precautions. (keeping distance, masque (also in the car) and avoid crowds and touristy areas.) Alessandro is easy going and speaks English very well which makes the tour very comfortable.Amazing Amalfi tour

Alessandro was very flexible in arranging our customized tour in Naples. He even helped us with our research. He showed us around and told us the hidden history of Naples that you would otherwise walk past without knowing. Even though we had already been in the city for 8 full days he still told quite a few things unknown to us. After walking around in the historic centre we went to an area where the local Neapolitans lived their daily lives. There we ended our tour with a bottle of local wine and some stories about our lives etc. Even after the paid tour had ended he was kind enough to show us some more spots to visit. Would definitely recommend!Local Knowledge & Hospitality
