Oh man this tour was exactly what I had in mind. Im 34 and got to see and skate spots I've seen in videos for 20+ years. Mario took me all over the city and ended at macba. He took some awesome clips and pushed me to land tricks I don't usually do. He gave a fantastic dinner recommendation and even helped direct me via video chat after the tour on how to find it. 10/10 do it if you're a skater. Couldn't have asked for more!

Mario was a wonderful guide. I booked to do the skate tour as my eldest son is doing his final year dissertation on skateboard culture. Despite none of us actually being able to skate, Mario tailored the tour so we could get the best out of it, both from a skateboarding point of view, and an 'off the beaten track' look at Barcelona too. This was a fantastic experience! I’m 37 and have been on and off the board throughout my life, and skating in Barcelona has been on my bucket list ever since I was a kid. Mario got in touch with me within minutes of making a booking, asking how he could tailor make the tour to meet my interests. He was super friendly and had a professional demeanor. All I said was to take me around as if it was his day to skate and we did exactly that! He proposed a meeting place based on where I was staying. We met up and immediately started cruising through the streets hitting up Arc, DIY picnic and Parallel. We refueled with some local street food, talked about skating and life experiences, and even kicked off the evening with Mario’s killer cocktails at The Station. His personality had me feeling like I just met up with a childhood friend that I hadn’t seen in years! Almost every spot and route we rode Mario took time to introduce me to the locals and explain the history of the spot. This let me feel included in the community and for the next 4 days of skating I’d cross paths with familiar faces and just blend in. It allowed me to just soak up the experience to the fullest! This tour is without a doubt a must if you really want to experience skate culture in BCN, regardless of your skill level or age. Thanks again, Mario, for being a great ambassador for both the city of Barcelona and for skateboarding!!Worth every euro!

Exactly as described. Mario met us in Barceloneta and took our 12 year old son to local skateboard spots. Mario was a bit late due to transport problems but kept us in touch all the time. He took my son and his friend to some of the skate haunts, and made them sandwiches on the beach. Having Mario guide them 1-2-2 was great and they loved the experience saying Mario is the funniest guy they’ve met. He went on his own with Mario, I was totally confident to trust him to Mario's care for the day, he took him on a filming job as well as skating with him and showing him the city. We booked the skateboarding tour with Mario for our 4 teenage skaterboys. Unfortunately, Mario couldn’t join but he introduced us to his friend Zarco, who took the boys on tour… what a cool, charming and friendly guy! We met at Macba and went to Paral.lel and back on a more than 2 hour trip. Zarco taught them some new tricks, photographed and filmed them and added them on his socials… it was a perfect night! It was really great meeting Mario and getting shown around Barcelona with him and his lil dog! My wife booked this experience for us on our skate trip to Spain, and as a skater of 25 years it was really cool to have a knowledgeable, nice skater to take us around a familiar (from all the videos) but also brand new city. He was super nice and made us feel very welcome, introducing us to everyone he knew (super popular dude). He showed us some legendary skate spots, night spots and taught us some really interesting things about the city while we cruised. We were three students meeting with Mario, and it was a really great experience! We had absolutely no skating experience, but he was very kind and taught us how to do it, and it was so much fun! And even though the weather was really bad, he took us to a cool skating place where we could skate under a roof. He also showed us a cool skating shop and gave us delicious sandwiches from a local shop :p Overall this is a perfect opportunity to meet the locals and have fun skating!Amazing experience!

Me and my 12 year old son spent a few days in Barcelona - we had never used With Locals before and we are so glad we did. We met Mario! He organised a fantastic personalised trip for us - he gave my son a skate boarding lesson. He was very safe and inspired my son to skate more when he gets home. We visited Barcelona from the San Diego area. Our 13 year old son is an experienced skater and we were thrilled to learn he could take a tour of skate spots. He had a fantastic afternoon with Mario, who showed him around to some well-known as well as lesser known Barcelona skate spots and also took some amazing video of him skating. My son said it was a great experience to skate with a local and he loved everything about it. He learned about a several spots he would not have seen if it weren't for Mario and also met some other local skaters through him. I booked for the first time through “withlocals” and was very satisfied! My son is only 7 years and just started skateboarding. He only understands Dutch so I joined Mario and my son on the whole skate experience to translate. Mario was perfect for my son (and me). He’s not only a great skater, he really knows how to connect with children even if they cannot talk the same language 😃. Me son was a bit nervous but as soon as he met Mario he felt so happy. Mario is an excellent tour guide and a great person. I booked Mario's tour, because I always had the urge to learn skateboarding, and what better place there is in Europe than Barcelona? Mario brought me to a cool, authentic place where many locals were skating and gave me my first skateboarding lesson. With his tips and advice I'm now able to train skateboarding on my own, what I'm very grateful about. He is not only a true professional in the skateboarding, he is also a professional in the videography community. We instantly connected and became friends, cause we share a passion for skateboarding and videography. So Mario personalized the tour for me and let me film his stunts. He also did inspire me to pursue my videography dreams more professionally and gave me some valuable advices. At the end when we were hungry, he showed me a nice place. This place is my favorite restaurant in Barcelona with the most delicious food until today. This tour was definitely one of those things you stumble upon and try it! We were on a cruise that spent a day in Barcelona. As my 12 year old skater son had been good sport - being dragged to museums and such for the last several days - my wife booked time with Mario for him. Mario was great - very friendly and positive with my son, showing him some tricks and playing a skateboarding game. He took us to two spots for skating and showed us some interesting sites along the way, telling us information about the neighborhoods we were in and some of the history of the city. My son loved the experience and I had a good time watching them skate and seeing the sites. Mario was very supportive and positive in regards to my son's skating. Mario is an amazing Barcelona tour guide and skateboard teacher. He showed me and my nephew (a keen skater) all the cool skate spots in the city centre and we skated through the alleys and down to barceloneta and beachfront. Mario taught Finn some new tricks and was just amazingly friendly. Mario is also a filmmaker and shot some footage of our tour and put together a little film of our day that he sent to us. Sent our 13 year old and his friend out for an early evening with Mario. They had an incredible time. They visited multiple hot spots, met tons of local skaters, and were introduced to local foods and customs on the way. Mario is friendly and a skilled skate coach, as the 11 y.o needed lots of help. We were completely comfortable sending our teen/pre teen out into Barcelona alone and they were very well looked after. The day after, my son would run into Mario's friends, and they greeted him warmly. Mario is an amazing ambassador to the local skate community, which is warm and friendly and full of very talented athletes. Mario is very passionate about skateboarding and you can tell that from the very first moment you start talking with him.
