Ngoun is a very experienced and knowledgeable and gentle guide. We had a great day with lux, it stated so early, a 450am start. We made our way to the complex and was amazed at how many people were there already, but he knew cc a shortcut, we made our way to the wall to sit and wait for the sunrise, and then the people came and just kept coming . As if by magic, things began to brighten and the glow over the complex was fantastic,lux took us inside and showed where to wait for the real sunrise over the temple, he knew exactly where to go to get the best views, we then went to a few other less well known temples and he explained all the bits and legends, about the demons, then off to the elephant parade, showing us lots of things you would miss if you didn't have an experienced guide.A great morning at angkor wat

We started off leaving our hotel at 04:40 so that we could buy tickets at the center (because we wanted a hard copy ticket for keepsakes). Lux took us to an awesome site to watch the sun rise over Angkor Wat…breathtaking!! We visited several temples during our experience, got to see a monastery with chanting monks, and added a couple different sites we wanted to see with much less tourists. Lux was able to answer all our questions and was very knowledgeable about the history of the temples.Bucket List Item Achieved!!

The guide and driver were excellent and took great care of us. We really appreciated the cold wash clothes and cold water each time we returned to the vehicle. Ran was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and provided many good insights. Breakfast stop was very good (fried pineapple was delicious!). The 4:45 AM start of the tour wasn’t entirely necessary and we could’ve started a little later in the morning and still seen the sunrise….unless someone is really looking for the perfect seat and needs to get there early. Ngoun (Lux) was on time for our 4:45AM pickup as we headed out from our hotel for the sunrise viewing of Angko Wat. It was a beautiful sight! He was extremely knowledgeable as we toured the site pointing out even the smallest intricate details of incredibly beautiful carvings in the stone (most other tourists were walking right past without any awareness ) such workmanship nearly 1,000 years before was incredible to see and to understand their meaning. Ngoun was warm, friendly and very professional. He gave us all the time we wanted for photos, and patiently waited as we were doing a time lapse of the sunrise which we appreciated so much. His knowledge and delivery was excellent. Our kids learnt so much, and were so engaged with the way in which Ngoun talked about the temples. We were loving the water breaks, and cold wash towels, which helped as the day heated up. We had a great experience with Nguon. First of all he was 100% reliable and knew every detail about the locations he took us to. He is a great storyteller and we felt that he does his job with absolute passion. His English is perfect and aside from the tour we had very good chats about Cambodia, about people and the world overall. Cambodians are outstandingly welcoming and warmhearted people. Nguon is no exception here. We enjoyed every second of the tour, everything was so relaxed and full of kindness. He always paid attention to what we wanted and we had the feeling we always were able to take all the time we needed. He also served us with cold drinks and cold towels (you are going to appreciate this in the heat of Cambodia). Last thing being said Nguon is also a very good photographer and he has a great understanding of photo composition. So you end up with nice photos of yourself from tour! What a fabulous sunrise trip to Angkor Wat with Lux! We are a family of four, two kids 12 and 15, who having seen many temples on our travels were not as keen as us to see temple after temple. But after a morning with Lux they were fascinated by the history and architecture! Had a great time with Lux and Koi. Even though it was very hot the temples were such a wonderful site to see. Lux is very knowledgeable and made our experience an education in history and religion. We had a great time with Ngoun! He is a friendly and very knowledgeable guide and speaks very good English. The tour was very well-planned and Ngoun took all the right actions to ensure a relaxed pace but also avoid crowds (as much as possible). Ngoun also showed us good spots for photos and took some great pictures of us himself. Of course this tour is on the pricier side but in our case it was totally worth it. There was just two of us, so we did the tour in a SUV with air conditioning, cold water and cold towels after every temple visited. Totally recommend this tour!

Had the most amazing sunrise tour with Lux. Lots of water and cold towels to keep us going. A beautiful spot for the sunrise over Angkor Wat, away from the crowds. Hired Lux for sunrise tour of AngkorWat. Him and his driver came to pick us up in an air conditioned Toyota SUV with enough time to wait and catch the sunrise. His English is excellent and he knows the best spots and routes to avoid the big crowds. Lux is also an excellent photographer and knows the best spots for photos. Thanks to him we have so many great photos that captures this special experience. This alone make it worth every $ of the private tour. Would def recommend him to anyone! Only minus point is that the restaurant we were taken to for breakfast was clearly catered to tourists where it would have been nice to go really local but I understand this is probably part of their system. Lux was on time, thorough, patient, flexible, and spoke excellent English. He is very knowledgeable about Angor Wat and the history of his country. He takes pride in his country and loves sharing it. He provided ice cold water and his driver, Thea, always had the air conditioned car ready for us when a tour was complete. In the heat, it is a welcome relief. I would not take a tuk tuk to and through Angor Wat because of the heat. A car is more comfortable, you want to hear your guide, and paying the extra money is worth it for a professional guide like Lux. We will hire him again if we come back again. We had an amazing morning with Ngoun touring a few of the key sites of the Angkor Park. It started with a pre-dawn pick up from our hotel by Ngoun and his driver. We then headed to Angkor Wat where Ngoun helped us dodge the crowds to get to an excellent spot to sit and watch the sunrise while we chatted about history and life in Cambodia. He then led us to a few famous photo spots and proceeded with a whistlestop tour of the site while explaining more of it's history and secrets. It was hard to leave after seeing so little of Angkor Wat but there was lots more still to do on the tour. We would recommend planning a return visit to the site to really spend some time soaking in its majesty. After a breakfast stop at a friendly local restaurant where we could eat our hotel breakfast boxes we headed to Ta Prohm aka the ‘Tomb Raider’ temple. Again Ngoun gave us an quick but insightful tour of the fascinating site while hitting up all the best photo spots. Next up were two smaller more secluded sites. These were less directed tours but gave us a lovely chance to wander through ruins without the noise of larger tour groups around us. Finally we came to Bayon and it's many smiling faces where again Ngoun showed us all the best spots and discussed the history and restoration of the temple. Overall it was a magical experience that left us buzzing for the rest of the day and hungry for more exploration. Nguon made us feel so welcome, answered all our many varied questions and clearly has a passion for Angkor and Siem Reap that he loves to share. His love and pride of Cambodia really shone through the tour.A magic morning of exploration and history

We were picked up early for sunrise at Angkor Wat followed by a tour with Ngoun in a very comfortable and safe Toyota Islander. His driver was excellent and cautious. Ngoun speaks excellent english, well articulated and easy to understand. He is very knowledgeable and passionate about Cambodian history. We strongly recommend him. Had we done this on our own, we would have missed out on amazing details/mysteries that left us in awe. He was willing to customize our tour and is very professional. This was an amazing tour, despite the early start. The temples are amazing for the period and the locals were so nice too. Ngoun was a great guy and super knowledgeable. We wanted to see Angkor Wat for many years so we decided to book this private tour to make it more special. In the afternoon a day before the morning tour was supposed to start we were informed by Lux that there was an error with the booking process. With no other option to choose from he gave us a replacement with Mr. Chang. We were also informed that the starting time of the tour was changed to 5am instead of 4:30. When we arrived at the temple Mr. Chang left us for over an hour alone without informing us that he is leaving or where he is going so we had to search for him. In the temple he gave few information so we tried to ask many questions. But during the visit of the temple he was very chatty with other guides or ran in front of us to talk with other tourists, which didn't allow us to ask for more information. The tour felt very rushed. In the temple he also left us for about 20min alone. He also let us walk alone in two other temples. Same with the breakfast place for 30min. The breakfast place was bad and overpriced, but he did not give us another option. Overall we were very disappointed with the replacement and the time he left us alone during the tour was about 3 hours in total.Rushed and bad tour

We told Ngoun what we wanted for our tour and he really listened and we got exactly what we wanted. Although the Angkor Wat temples are busy he managed to avoid all the crowds and provide and amazing private tour that was beyond our expectations. The day before, on our first day, we had already been to Angkor Wat and two other temples and explored everything on our own in a tuk tuk without a guide. The next day, Ngoun picked us up at the hotel on time and took us to an excellent spot where we could admire the sunrise. We then explored Angkor Wat. Ngoun showed and explained so many things to us that we hadn't even seen the day before. Since we had seen two more temples the day before, he fully responded to our needs and carried out a different program especially for us. We discovered other very hidden and beautiful temples, such as Ta Nei. Ngoun has very in-depth knowledge and was a wonderful guide who can only be recommended. After very thorough and professional communication Ngoun picked up our family early from our hotel and took us to the gates of Angkor Wat for sunrise. He positioned us in a great place to watch the sunrise and then for the rest of the day showed us great photo spots, explained all the history and showed us some secret things about the temples. he even managed to gain the interest of my 13 year old daughter. He was engaging and knowledgeable and very passionate about the temples and his country and I cannot fault him as a tour guide. Amazing Angkor Wat with Ngoun

My partner and I were in Siem Reap for only about 30 hours so we knew we wanted to maximize our time as efficiently as possible. We reached out to Lux in hopes that we could see as much as possible in our short time there and he absolutely delivered! Lux exudes passion for his home country and his experience in being a guide is evident through his vast knowledge of temples and everything Cambodia. As a high school history teacher, I had tons of questions which Lux answered thoroughly and emphatically. In addition to seeing all the temples and sights we hoped to see, we felt lucky to also experience some of the local villages, markets and delicacies thanks to Lux. We did the morning sunrise tour. Ngoun brought us to a quiet spot to enjoy the sunrise, then off to see the major temples. Felt like we were always one step ahead of the crowds. Ngoun's knowledge of the temples and their history was engaging and interesting. I can't rate him highly enough!Amazing day with Ngoun!!!
