We spent a wonderful morning with Tom exploring the hidden gems of London. Unfortunately, he was at a disadvantage (our fault) because his tour was our 4th in four days. Nevertheless, we immensely enjoyed his vast knowledge and passion of history in London. We loved his anecdotal stories about past individual events and characters. My recommendation would be to be explicit in what you are expecting from your tour (we were not). Tom can then tailor the tour to your needs. We were with my 80 year old parents, and weren't sure that a three hour tour would work for us. Tom shortened and customized the tour for us. and we had a lot of fun! Tom was fantastic! He was on time and took us to all the places we wanted to see and so much more. He was wonderful with our children ages 11 and 14. He also was knowledgeable about the history of London. We learned so much and most importantly had a great day with our family. Tom is a great host and very knowledgeable about a big variety of topics! I booked this breakfast tour because I wanted to experience a quote from my favourite British Autor in the most local way possible: “They don't go in for the fancy or exotic, but stick to conventional food like flightless bird embryos, minced organs in intestine skins, slices of hog flesh and burnt ground grass seeds dipped in animal fats; or, as it is known in their patois, egg, sausage, bacon and a fried slice of toast.” Tom turned it into an incredible journey with lots of stories, local facts, awesome food and amazing views! Tom painted before us a vivid picture of the London where music legends lived, played gigs and went out. Since we were visiting Londen for the Freddie Mercury exhibition, he was so considerate as to incorporate facts and visits to places that involved Freddie. We learned about the English monarchy, got a glimpse of the bohemian life and got to admire the dandy style and the luxury boutiques of the aristocracy that are unique to London.Great!

Our family will forever remember our tour guide Tom, after our three full days of touring in and around London. He is passionate about his work, is always prepared, and his depth of knowledge is second to none. However, he makes the information easy to understand so that even my 13-year-old daughter would appreciate and enjoy. He took us to some real gems that I am sure we would’ve never found ourselves. In the introduction to his book “London A Travel Guide Through Time” Dr Matthew Green writes: “in London, we are all time travellers(…) we are liable to find ourselves transported to a different place just by walking round a corner and stumbling across the unexpected.
