Right from the initial booking Ngoun stayed in touch and was very responsive. We did 2 days with him beginning with the Ankor Wat sunrise and followed up the next day with the waterfall and stilted houses on the river. Lux was a fabulous guide and I could not recommend him highly enough. His knowledge of Angkor Wat, its surrounding area and Siem Reap was extensive and his story telling and explanations throughout the two days we had with him was superb. I had an amazing tour with Lux. He was so knowledgeable and took his time explaining information about the various temples, Cambodian history, and way of life. He was able to answer all of my questions and provided such great background and history. During the first day of the tour we had a great time watching the sun rise over Angkor Wat, and Lux knew the very best places to sit. The second day was equally as interesting as we went to the waterfall and saw the floating village. It was the perfect balance of activities and a great way to spend two days in Cambodia! Wasn’t too sure about booking a trip through the Hotel, travel agent or through Withlocals. My wife and I decided to go with Lux at Withlocals. Best idea. We arrived in Siem Reap not being sure what to expect, Lux (Ngoun) had helped us messaging back and forth before we left home, and it turned out that he had given us all the information we needed. Lux and his driver picked us up at the hotel and gave us an amazing trip to the Kulen Hills, swimming under the water falls after the River of 1000 Linga, boat tour of the stiled village on the lake, and then not only sunrise at Angkor Wat, but the temples around Angkor Thom and the Tomb Raider temple. Good food advice, always ready with an answer to a question, great photographer, very comfortable driving. Cambodia is quiet at the moment, and is great vablue. Had a good 2-day tour with Mr. Nat, Lux and Mr. Prahna. Went to Angkor Wat, Kulen Mountain and the Stilt Village. The vehicle was very clean and new. Ice cold water and whips at every stop. Lots of really interesting history about Angkor Wat and general Cambodian culture. Interesting to see the stilt village and how villagers live. Great lunch second day in a small local village and they very nicely drove me to a different stop on the way home as I was late for another tour. Thank you for the experiences. Fun day

Pre-Tour Ngoun (aka Lux) was very responsive on Whatsapp. Once we confirmed the private tour on WithLocals, he texted me on Whatsapp to confirm the tour, and itinerary and reminded us to purchase the temple tickets and dress code. He even suggested changing the itinerary so that the places we visit will be less crowded and we agreed. We also asked him about other places we should visit or things we can do or bring and he replied promptly. During the Tour Lux was prompt when picking us up. He was knowledgeable and gave us a brief history and stories with regard to the places we visited. I slipped and fell at the Kulen Waterfall and we made a stop at a local pharmacy to get some medication. The driver was also very humble and brought us cold bottles of mineral water and wet wipes after each stop, before getting on the car. Ngoun (Lux) was a fantastic tour guide. As soon as you book the tour, he reaches out to you on WhatsApp guiding you, reminding you and helping out and is with you till your tour ends. He is of course knowledgeable about his city , the temples and culture but in addition is also a fantastic photographer. He will tell you all the great spots for a good photo. The temples are the main attractions though. The second best thing is the Khmer food which is like Thai but without the heat/chilli. The city itself is very safe and you hardly get approached by aggressive touts. I would just say that the trip to Kulen mountain, the waterfall etc was a bit underwhelming. When it was time to do the boat trip on Tonle Sap, it was already 2pm and the sun was beating down mercilessly even in the best dry season of Jan. We skipped that and. Lux was kind enough to accomodate this last minute change.Amazing time in Siem Reap

Our tour was meant to start in the morning but our flight landed later so we started at 10.30am. Our guide Lux was flexible and accomodating of this. His English was very good, super friendly, worldly, informative and very good at taking pics for us. Second day, Lux was not available and he had organised Jack for us. Jack was also exceptional. Jack was very knowledgeable about Cambodia and the attractions we saw, patient and allowed us time, and was the Best Photographer ever!! (Any other country, he would be a highly paid wedding photographer!) The people of Cambodia have had a very tough upbringing, but are honest, friendly and hard working. I encourage all to tip generously to all that cross your paths. A few dollars per person that we give means a difference to their day/lives. Lux did an incredible job showing us the history and culture of Cambodia. His English is excellent, making conversations easy and comfortable. Excellent knowledgeable tour guide named Ngoun (or Lux) picked me up at the hotel and takes me to most important and biggest temples in Siem Reap.
