Minty was in a word... AMAZING!! She was kind and patient when picking us up! The car was really comfortable with ample room. The kayaking/zip line adventure was really fun and to finish it off we went to the famous sticky water falls, and she was very nice to take all the pictures we wanted. The best part is she showed us a really hidden out of the way BEAUTIFUL waterfall. I’d say it’s more beautiful than sticky waterfalls. The park hadn’t even opened it to the public yet! Yesterday Minty and I tried a zipline, white water rafting, and 'sticky waterfall' adventures. She was so accomodating and flexible throughout the day, she joined in the fun and we had time for some great chats in between. Not only did I go wakeboarding, but I went ziplining on 17 lines across the river, the daredevil in me was having a blast, i also bathed and fed the elephants. Saw a hidden gem temple on the way. 4 activities in one day. No one can beat that. The place was also not overcrowded. the Kao Soi for breakfast was rich with flavor, make sure you try it, the local barbeque for dinner was great. The extra activities came at minimal extra cost but it was totally worth. Interact with her, she can customize your entire trip for you, if you want to do anything else let her know, she's a great guide, time with her feels more like with a friend.Loved It

We booked a whole day trip with Minty and it was perfect from the first contact. Communication with Minty was easy and clear. In advance she sent us a packing list for our day which was very helpful. She picked us up at our hotel in a super nice car. We spent the day with bamboo rafting and white water rafting together with her. Everything was just perfectly organized from A to Z. We ended our day with a delicious Thai BBQ (a BBQ on the table on which you can fry meat and boil soup at the same time) in a nice jungle resort next to the river. Minty even sent us some fotos and a video from our trip as we left our mobiles in the car while rafting. Minty is a lovely person and it was like spending the day with an old friend. Minty is simply amazing, she organised everything from A to Z, came to the hotel by car ( beautiful car), took me everywhere we agreed to go, took care of all the formalities/ entrance fees etc ( before even i gave her the agreed amount for her services), she is a very pleasant person to be around, full of joy, enthusiastic and also full of patience! Very punctual, very responsive when messaging. I had absolutely no worries with her and i could fully enjoy my trips without having to worry about the local language and people not understanding me. Her English is very good and having a local helping around is very useful mostly when shopping at the local shops. Minty was an excellent guide! She picked us up at 8:30 in the morning, at our hotel, and took us to an elephant sanctuary, where we got to interact with the elephants and learn all about them. It was such a fantastic experience! After the elephants we were taken to a local lunch place and had a great meal before heading out to the sticky waterfall. Minty knew exactly where to take us and showed us how to go down the waterfalls safely. She also explained which waterfall route was easiest and which was the hardest. Without her we would’ve been lost! She was a great guide, but not only that she was a very sweet person and we really enjoyed our day with her.Amazing day with Minty!

Minty met us in the Marriott lobby at 8:30 and we rolled out of Chiang Mai through a rush hour far less daunting than Bangkok’s. Minty is a very well informed and personable guide who gave us a brief and clear account of the absorption of the Chiang Mai’s Lanna kingdom into modern Thailand under Rama V and its development as a tourist destination and agricultural center. Minty is also an excellent photographer whose pictures never fail to capture the captivating beauty of the tour and the happy faces of her clients. The countryside was lush except where dried rice stubble awaiting burning. The air was acrid with smoke until we started ascending the foothills of the Thanon Thong Chai mountains toward the Doi Suthep-Pui National park. Along the way to the park, we stopped at the Wachirathai waterfall, an 80 meter cascade that drew hordes of awestruck tourists and made a beautiful rainbow at its base. The views from both vantage points were spectacular; from the upper one, the torrent seemingly just beyond arm’s reach. , We entered the park and visited the Rama IX and Queen pagodas, built on gorgeous twin peaks to commemorate the 60th birthday of the beloved late king Bhumibol and the 25th anniversary of his reign. They are serene and shapely, and surrounded by dreamlike mountains and valleys thinly veiled with mists, but breezy and cool, interspersed with gorgeous gardens filled with blooming snapdragons. Inside the queen’s pagoda has frescoes depicting the life of Buddha, and the king’s bas reliefs of the holiest places and moments of Buddha’s life: his birth, enlightenment, first sermon, and death. We drove to Thailand’s highest point, and the crypt of the last King of Chiang Mai. Beside the chedi is a rounded brass plate on which visitors are invited to balance a coin. After watching a succession of coins tilt and fall, I succeeded, and my secret wish will soon be granted. We celebrated with lunch at a Hmong restaurant Romphoti, where we a had the best tilapia ever. After lunch, we stopped at viewpoint overlooking a verdant valley where flowers and vegetables, perhaps including those we’d just lunched on, are grown beneath canopies. We drove to the entrance of the Dai Inthanon park, collected bamboo walking sticks, end set off into the forest led by Minty and assisted by a local guide, Miu, a young Karen girl. Rainforest trees towered above us, We trekked downhill near a river whose roaring cascades filled the forest with soothing sound and delighted the eyes with their beauty, so close it seemed possible to touch the whitewater as it raced by. We crossed a wobbly bamboo bridge backdropped by a torrent of falling water, then hiked past coffee trees, some with ripened red beans, growing in the shade of the forest canopy. We reached a Karen village where Miu left our group and stayed with a group of elder Karen women looming the textiles for which they are famous. Then Monty returned us to Chiang Mai just after sunset. A great tour near Chiang Mai with Minty

She took us to restaurants and spots we would have overlooked, and gave us a really authentic, fun and exciting experience in Chiang Mai. Minty was simply amazing! She picked us up in a luxurious van and timed our activities perfectly well. She suggested we visited a farm after we’d been to the sticky waterfalls and we just loved it. We learnt to plant rice, ride buffaloes and walked around the beautiful countryside. We didn’t feel rushed while doing lots. It felt more like spending the day with a friend than a guide, she also explained a lot of Thailand’s history, provided us with snacks and drinks and overall was very attentive and flexible. It’s not always easy to plan a day that makes both children happy (one is 11 and the other is 18) but Minty really aced it. We flew into Chiang Mai only for this day tour and she picked us up and dropped us off at the airport. Overall we had a good visit to Chiang Rai with regards to seeing the sights. We saw all the hotspots including the hot springs, White and Blue Temples and the Black House. Also had an authentic meal at a roadside restaurant. Minty was informative regarding Buddhist history and the significance of the temples to the local culture. However, she was not as interactive as many other tour guides we have experienced before and with 6.5 hours of driving there was ample opportunity for her to tell us more about the Chiang Rai region and its people. At times we felt that we had to pry information out of her. She also made a strange comment as we approached a police checkpoint: she requested that if asked by the police who we were, to tell them that we were all friends in the vehicle. We felt uncomfortable with this and actually made us question her legitimacy as an accredited tour guide. In fact we are now questioning whether we had any insurance coverage etc as we have had for other tours we did in Thailand. Unfortunately the driver was inattentive at times. The parking brake was not engaged while we were exiting the van at the Black House and we had to prevent our two young children from falling out of the rolling van. When leaving the Black House he ran the front of the van into a concrete foundation leading to a crack in the front of the van while we were still 3 hours away from our hotel. She played great music on our drive, added fantastic touches to our day, like stopping at a hot spring, visiting a monk, and taking us to lunch where we had the most incredible meal. The daytrip from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai is definitely worth it. It takes minimum 10 hours to see the Hot Springs, the Blue Temple, the Black House, the White Temple and the Temple of the 1000 Buddhas. It was breathtaking, we never so something similar before and are still flashed. Minty is a very experienced tourguide and took us to the places in another order than all the others do. Therefore it was not so crowded at the spots and we had time and space to make beautiful pixtures and saw also small things, that Minty explained to us. Furthermore, she is a safe driver and had an excellent playlist :) Thank you, Minty, and good luck! Very nice tour

We booked Minty for our family (boys aged 11 and 15) trip to the sticky waterfalls. Minty arrived promptly in a lovely clean, air-conned people carrier and whisked us out the city. We had a great time at the waterfalls, they were a bit busy but it was a Thai holiday and still amazing to see/climb. Minty also provided us with water shoes which was much appreciated! She then offered lots of other places we could visit on our way back to Chiang Mai. We opted for a cave temple and lunch overlooking a different waterfall. Lunch was great and it was lovely to chat with Minty and learn more about her and Chiang Mai. She then sent us some great recommendations for places to eat in Chiang Mai. We spent an amazing day with Minty. She took us to the sticky waterfall and showed us the best way to climb it down and took great pictures on the way which she sent us later. Then we had some time to ourselves which was nice - the waterfall is beautiful and surrounded by nature (and cool!). Myself and my two sons went with Minty to Chiang Rai from Chiang Rai for a day trip. It was a long day but soooo worth it. We went to the Wat Rong Khun (white temple), Wat Rong Suea Ten (blue temple) and Baan Dam (black house) which is more an art museum within a house and ground. I had thought we could miss Baan Dam but it was very interesting and glad we went. Two other highlights were lunch at a divine tea plantation and afternoon tea at a little cafe in the middle of a rice paddy. You would never have been able to do all this without a great local guide and Minty was that. Thoughtful, informative but also gave space when needed. Thank you so much. What a great day!

Minty picked us up with her nice and comfortable pick-up for the little more then 1 hour drive to the sticky falls. She knows the place really well and guided us safely through this extraordinary experience,leaving us lots of time to discover it by ourselves, she was also taking great pictures/videos of us to bring home. After a really nice lunch, we took the road again for a short drive and we arrived at the Chiang Mai Karen elephant Care to live an amazing experience with three very cute elephants. We prepared their food and then spent a long time feeding and hugging the elephants before giving them their bath. We were the only guests at the small sanctuary that day, which made it even more special. The Karen people were very kind and nice, they gave us lots of time (and bananas ;) with the elephants. She was very flexibly in listening to our interests and then adjusting our itinerary based on those interests. On visited a hot springs, the White Temple, the Blue Temple and the Black House. On the way back, we stopped by the Karen hill tribes and had a chance to chat with the Karen "long-neck". It was a wonderful day. We do not usually seek out temples to visit, but the White Temple and the Blue Temple are stunning, unlike any temples we have seen previously. Minty was very attentive to us, spoke good English, and was able to answer most any question we asked. We highly recommend her as a local guide.Day trip to Chiang Rai
