Follow my lead through the most beautiful route up Table Mountain. Our path will take us up to the face of the mountain overlooking Cape Town. It takes around 2-hours to get to the top, covering a distance of about 3km. While hiking up, I will tell you about the mountain, and it's history since it was first ascended in 1503.

You made it, you conquered Table Mountain! Feel proud of yourself and enjoy a beautiful reward, one of a kind views! Take in the stunning panoramic view over Cape Town, have a rest and take a drink and snacks. Time to go back to the city. Feeling like hiking down or enjoy a ride down in a cable car? The choice is yours! Friendly tip: Please bring enough water and snacks for the hike. Also, bring a sunhat and sunscreen.

I had such a great hike with Veliswa and I really appreciated all the safety measures she took to ensure a safe hike. I also enjoyed learning a lot about the land and it’s culture. We had the good fortune of meeting Veli on a hike up Table Mountain The weather did not cooperate for us. It was foggy and the ground was a little slippery. However, she was a fantastic guide for us. The group included our three children aged 10, 12 and 16 years old. She was patient and was focused on our safety and enjoyment. Our time was limited and we only made it up half the mountain. However, she always stayed with the slowest member of our group assuring our safety. We really enjoyed our hike. We wished we had more time. Veli was wonderful and we highly recommend her. Even though we had absolutely no visibility, I had a great hike up up Table Mountain with Veliswa! She sacrificed part of her daughter’s birthday to come guide this hike. I truly appreciate her effort in this and looking out for my safety. Table Mountain Hike

I hiked up Helderberg nature reserve with Veliswa. We did the fairly difficult trail called Watsonia. It was very steep and I was very unfit but Veliswa helped me get through it with no problem. We had a very knowledgeable guide for our tour who gave us many tips for exploring the city. However, the first guide canceled and we were assigned a different guide who was not the guide who showed up. We did not visit Woodstock and only visited the District Six Museum and the castle due the the guide's safety concerns. What is not listed is that you need to pay for all entrance fees. So, in the end this was not a tour of the Woodstock neighborhood, which was why we booked the tour. We had a great tour of the District Six Museum. Nice guide but tour not as advertised

Started the morning walking up platteklip gorge but could only make 3/4 of the way up as the wind was so bad but it was such an experience and cannot wait to go back and complete the hike. Then we went to the township to be welcomed by a family who cooked some of the best tasting food i have tried. Thanks for the experience veliswa. Mark Davies Hike up table mountain/foodie trip

More about me

When i was 16 i got to be introduced to adventurous things like rock climbing, hiking, and the trail. I fell in love. Been climbing our local mountains ever since then. Cape Town have beautiful trails from easy walk in the nature to hard climbing of our beautiful table mountain. I have climb the famous Lionshead more than 20times with friend or people who enjoy mountains after that we would go to our local township for good traditional food. I would love to show some more people our trails and take them to the township for a good experience.
