Me and my daughter had a wonderful private tour with Jason. He picked us up from our hotel and showed us his favorite spots. Jason had already contacted us before our trip to Seoul to ask what we definitely wanted to see. As we did not have a proper idea about Seoul, he gave us some suggestions first. Once we started chatting, we found Jason to be very friendly and helpful. He answered all our questions about travel in Seoul and gave us helpful tips and suggestions on where to go. The tour he created for us was customised for us; our daughter was able to take photos of paths less trodden by tourists and we also enjoyed the bustling market of Gwangjiang and the amazing cafes of Ik Seon Dong. Jason’s recommendation for street food at Gwangjiang market did not disappoint. The food we had was good. We had a very informative time with Jason as he very patiently taught us how to use both buses and trains in Seoul. Without a doubt one of my new favorite cities in the world- Seoul! Once I booked the tour, Jason immediately reached out to find out what we were interested, so that he could tailor the perfect day of sights. We were warmly welcomed by Jason at our hotel. I had only one day in Seoul - so decided to go WITHLOCALS to spend half of my day. Jason was great - met me at the hotel I was staying - he was very friendly and we visited a Palace - he gave me the history of it; and we went to Bukchon village - an amazing traditional neighborhood of Seoul - the very narrow streets with traditional housing; some nice shops as well; he offered to take pictures - and he is great in that! then he took me to an old area that has tons of little restaurants and cafés and art galleries - i loved th area! Although a French citizen, Camille has lived in Seoul for the past six years and has no thoughts of leaving. Deeply entrenched in Korea’s culture, this ebullient guide had us touring through the streets and sights of Seoul at a fast pace, all the while feeding us a continuous stream of information as sights and locations flashed past. Her knowledge on the inside workings of the Palace was impressive. Up hill and down dale we saw new homes trying to look old and old homes still old and untouched. She gave us the name of the best tea made in Korea as we flashed past the best ice-cream shop. The words to describe our day trip around Seoul with Camille is simply: "wow'. Camille has an engaging and bubbly personality and related so well to the children. We are quite a fit family and we managed to fit in all the major sites (palace, temples, inner city villages and interesting neighbourhoods, a bit of shopping, a healthy lunch, walk down the artificial canal, ice cream and more. The weather was awful hot. It was 33-34 celcius. Camille was very friendly and understanding. She showed us different parts of Seoul, while telling us the way of Korea.
