Octavio took us on a tour the night we flew in before a cruise. We had 6 family members aged 24 to 30 and they LOVED Octavio. We were late in arriving and were hungry. He took us to a restaurant suggested foods, told us about them, and ordered everything for us. The conversation around the table was a tour highlight and is one of our favorite memories from the trip! Memorable time in Barcelona with Octavio!

As we were only spending the weekend in Barcelona and time was short. What better way than to have a personal guide/storyteller showing you around. Nevena was an exceptional guide. She is one of the kindest person I met in Spain and I could truly say that she had a found a friend in me. We had trouble getting to Spain because of our flights got cancelled and delayed few times and we had to rebook them! Nevena was kind enough to accommodate us and I will be forever grateful to her! She was easy to talk to and she took us to really amazing spots in Barcelona. We had a really great conversation that we forgot the time. She was with us for almost 4 hours even though this was only a 2.5hr tour! I was sad when it was time for us to go. I will miss her! Hope to see you again, Nevena! Stay awesome! Nevena! The tour was really great. Gonzalo is very friendly and reports a lot of exciting information about Barcelona and the History of Tapas during the tour. The selection of tapas was excellent . We could also try many drinks (2 wine, and 1 cava).  We were a little bit dizzy from the wine home. Gonzalo give us some cool adresses in Barcelone how we can continue our vacation. Gonzales showed is some interessting plsces which are not mentioned in any travelguide. Gonzales created and individual tour and everybody was happy (we had teenagers in the group and to satisfy and motivate them is a challenge). We had a Tapas tour with Nevena on our first night in Barcelona and it definitely made an impact on our trip. She made the tour very personalized and allowed us to stop anywhere we wanted and tried to get us the best deals at shops. All of the tapas places we went were delicious, we even went back to one of them. Best perk of the tour (which made it stand out) was all of the recommendations Nevena gave. During our tour she pointed out places we should after or the best places we need to visit. Even after the tour she whatsapped us answers to any questions we had. We absolutely loved our evening with Gonzalo. As a local he was able to explain some very interesting history about locations and the origins of place names and customs. These were all things that we would not have discovered otherwise, and then of course, the best part is that all of this takes place over the course of a couple of hours exploring the hidden culinary gems of the back streets of El Born where there are many eclectic local Tapas bars that only the bravest tourist would usually frequent. If you are a well seasoned confident traveller this may not be an issue, but if like us, you really want to learn a bit more about Barcelona from a Local and not from a guide book then we would thoroughly recommend this. We visited 4 separate Tapas bars and in each we had a different small bite to eat and a drink. All were delicious. Gonzalo explained how Tapas came about and why it is still an important tradition in Spain. He also gave us great advice about how to choose Tapas bars and avoid the tourist traps. By the time we finished our time with Gonzalo we felt confident enough to then try new bars and restaurants that we may not have before and really get the best from our time in Barcelona. Overall we would really recommend this experience - it has all the key ingredients - great knowledgable company, tasty food and drinks and a chance to try new things. We spent a wonderful evening with Elvira last saturday in small, unknown, outstanding tapas bars. Elvira explained us the different dishes, the stories about. Having traveled extensively before I can honestly say this is one of the best walking tours we have done. Nevena was just fantastic, great local knowledge and very personable.
