Elena was fantastic! She took us to several different stops with a variety of flavors and explained the historical and cultural context of each dish and paired it well with drinks appropriate for the taste and the locale. Each place was clearly the favorite of locals as opposed to a tourist spot. Elena not only had deep knowledge of the wine and drink selections but also explained the cultural nuances of our surroundings. She also explained a lot about Flamenco and its origins and histories as well as the Andalusian language living right in front of us! Very much worth the value! We had toured the “big sites” as part of a larger group tour. We had a free afternoon and asked Laura to arrange a walk that would show us more of Sevilla. From the Plaza de España to the Triana neighborhood and many places in between, she did just that! Elena provided us with a fantastic food tour experience in Triana. We tried lots of different foods and drinks, and were very full by the end of the tour. Elena also gave a lot of great historical background information on the food and neighborhood. Elena has training in gastronomy/wine, in addition to being born and raised in Seville, making her a fantastic tour guide. The one area for improvement would be around organization. Elena reached out to reschedule our tour the day before, which luckily we were able to accommodate. We loved Elena! She is so warm, professional and deeply knowledgeable about her home town. We had such an amazing time that we booked her again for the following day! Seamlessly integrating information about history, culture, and food, she deeply enriched our visit to Sevilla. We learned and experienced things that we would never have had access to otherwise — for example, a bar steeped in the history of flamenco as a form of artistic resistance that served an exclusive variety of orange wine and a fantastic dish of pork prepared in an Arabian style. Everywhere we went we were warmly welcomed because we were with her. We did not encounter tourists or other guides at any of our food stops. Elena was also very generous with recommendations and answers to our questions beyond the time that we spent with her. Laura met us at our Hotel which made the start of our tour very easy as we didn’t have to locate a meeting point. From there Laura took us on a 3 hour walking tour through the city showing us historical sites and various other interesting places on the route. She took us through some quieter parts of the city which visitors don’t always see. If you like history then Laura is definitely a guide we would recommend. We had been in Seville for four days when we met up with Laura, so we had done a fair bit of walking in the old city, and also along the river in Triana. But Laura took us mostly to the northern, less touristy part of the old city, and we rambled from one beautiful Mudejar church to another, and talked about life in Seville, past and present. What it's like for Sevillanos, with growing tourism; the future fate of the historic old houses which are so expensive to restore; religious life, the involvement of young people in local fraternities and processions. It's so good to have a chance to talk to a local! And ask Laura about her PhD thesis on women in medieval life in Seville.... You'll have a really enjoyable experience.Extending our range in Seville

Absolutely loved touring Seville with Elena. We toured for 5hrs and could’ve stayed touring with Elena for longer. We had a group of varying ages and Elena was brilliant with all of us.
