My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour with Alvin. Quite apart from being very friendly and courteous, he is extremely knowledgeable about the history of Singapore. We particularly enjoyed our trip to the top of the OCBC building, where the views are absolutely spectacular. Alvin was also very generous when obtaining our snack from a local hawker centre! He even gave us his umbrella when it rained. We can’t recommend Alvin highly enough 😊. Choose Alvin!

We thoroughly enjoyed our Singapore Discovery Walking Trail with Alvin. We learnt a great deal about Singapore’s past and future and Alvin was a mine of information. We even had time for a great lunch at one of chinatown’s hawker markets, trying some of Singapore’s fabulous specialties. Great tour

Alvin was very punctual and friendly . His knowledge of the local area was excellent. He took us to some amazing places with the highlight being a sky view of Singapore from the top of the Commerce bank. This was our first time in Singapore so booked a walking tour with Alvin. We are so glad we did. Alvin was lovely & met us in our hotel lobby which helped greatly as we had only just arrived & hadn't got to grips with the city. He walked at our pace & nothing was too much trouble for him. We took in a museum, temples & Chinatown where he took us to Hawker Chan (which has been awarded one Michelin Star) for lunch. It was such a varied & fun tour that the time just flew by. Alvin was a great guide for us. He met us at our hotel and guided us to the tour starting point. Along the way, he provided us with masks and passes to be used on the MRT. Throughout the trip he took a number of photos of my wife and I to help us remember our visit. The only drawback was at times he was a bit difficult to understand as our ears weren't quite used to the local accent. Alvin was excellent and I would definitely recommend. He met us at RafflesPlace MTR on time. He confirmed by WhatsApp the day before. Took us to the top of the JPMorgan building for an excellent 360 degree view of Singapore. He was obviously very well educated and we learnt a lot about the history of Singapore. He was happy to answer all our questions and he told us about family life in Singapore. He took lots of photos of us and What’s Apped them to me. We went to the City Gallery, Thiam Hock Kent Temple and Maxwell food centre. We had a great day exploring Singapore with Alvin and learning about the history and development of the country. We booked the “Singapore Discovery Walking Trail” with Alvin and had a great experience. He met us ahead of time at our Hostel in Chinatown and gave us a deep insight into history, culture, religion and development and of this versatile city while walking through the streets if Chinatown, Little India and Kampong Glam. He is very educated and enjoys sharing his knowledge. He provided us with tickets for the MRT and gave us delicious samples of local food. He pointed out sights to us, which we explored after the tour on our own and reacted flexibly to our interests.  We had e great day and enjoyed very much seeing parts of the city we would have missed without him. This was a great tour to understand a little more about the history and culture of Singapore. Alvin met us at Telok Ayer station and communicated with us over WhatsApp before to arrange the meet up. We visited 4 different places of worship. Our favourite was the Taoist/Buddhist Chinese Temple. We visited a hawker centre which was buzzing and had a refreshing fruit juice and tried chicken rice. We really enjoyed Alvin’s knowledge and pride in Singapore. Seeing the wooden model of Singapore really helped us to understand the size of the the country. In China Town, Alvin explained how most Singaporeans live and we visited the 24th floor of a block of flats for a great view of the places we had just explored. Alvin also took us to the Malay area of Singapore which we went back to later. Without Alvin’s tour we would never have found that little area. We were only in Singapore for one full day and I am so pleased that we decided to book Alvin’s tour. It was the perfect antidote to all of the shopping malls and as it was just the two of us and Alvin the whole experience was much more chilled out than other tours. We are so glad we used withlocals services. My husband and I are from California and needed an English speaking tour guide. We also wanted a local point of view. Alvin met us at one of the MRT stations and took us on an approx. 3 hour walking tour. of the city. This was our fourth visit to Singapore and our first tour. He was able to give us much of the history and a view of the city we had never seen. We visited the observation tower of one of the public housing buildings which gave us a wide view of the city. We also visited a Tao temple. He took us to the Maxwell Food Center in Chinatown for a break and got us fruit drinks. He was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed this tour. We had just 4-days in Singapore. Alvin created an itinerary to showcase this fantastic city over 3 mornings. For our convenience he met us each morning at our hotel in Clarke Quay.
