   This is what our experience could look like, but it’s not set in stone! Once you book, you can chat directly with your host to make small tweaks to suit your preferences.

3. Stroll along the waterfront

   Let us start by taking a stroll along one of the most beautiful waterfronts in Europe! Hear why we changed so many rulers, find out what they were fighting for, what it was that they all wanted... The GOT location scouts knew why they chose Split to represent the city of Meereen. Find out how this city grew out of the 4th century Roman emperor's retirement palace.

4. Visit Palace substructures (the dungeon!)

   We enter the Palace through the South Gate and explore its substructures first. This is where Daenerys kept her dragons, but these days we prefer to have wine tastings here, weddings, exhibitions, musical performances, and so much more! Hear the unbelievable story, how the cellars got so marvelously preserved...

5. Peristyle Square

   The stairs take us from the substructures onto the central square - a world famous Peristyle! Egyptian sphinxes, colonnades with marble pillars from Greece, medieval palaces, emperor's mausoleum, humongous bell-tower - all squeezed around this ancient square, fighting for your attention!

6. The GoT store

   On our way to the North Gate, we'll walk the alleys of Meereen, where the Unsullied fought the slave-owners and the Sons of Harpy. How about stopping by the GOT store to take a selfie on the Iron Throne?

7. Marmont Street

   Upon exiting the Palace, we take Marmont Street, the most spacious pedestrian street in town, to lead us back to the waterfront, where our tour ends.

Linda was an excellent tour guide. She is very responsive before the tour via text. Happy to answer all of our questions and met us at the cruise ship gate. Her English was perfect. She was kind and knowledgeable. She really made us feel welcomed to her home city. We learned a lot, which made everything more interesting. Linda was the consummate professional before, during and after our tour. She made sure to address our wishes right from the beginning of the tour. She obviously knew all the relevant history, but the best part was how it was delivered. She told so many stories and those tend to stick better rather than just dates and facts. She knew exactly where she wanted to take us, so we were not wandering around aimlessly. As we explored the palace inside and out, she also pointed out places to eat and shop. She had stories or reasons to go to these shops and restaurants as well, which helped in our later decisions of where to buy unique gifts and eat amazing food. Linda also had input about our next stop and we will be sure to follow her suggestions again. She knew where all the best places to take photos were and took many for us as well. A private tour with Linda will be memorable and leave you feeling you have truly made a new friend! We only hope she feels the same way about us.We LOVED so much about this tour of Split!

Linda is an amazing guide. She told us so much about Split and especially Old Town. We had an fantastic 2-hour tour. It was entertaining for both adults and children. So if you are visiting Split with younger children, I can highly recommend you book a tour with Linda. Linda was an excellent guide for myself and 3 friends to help us discover Split through her local knowledge. As well as giving us lots of information about the history of the Diocletian palace, Linda gave us useful up-to-date info on restaurants, local places of interest, boat trips and even the best gelateria in town. (We subsequently tried several and agreed with her assessment!) We stopped for a drink (included in the price) and had a really interesting chat about life in Split.
