We took the WW2 Spy tour and Teo was a wealth of very interesting information. Spain may have been officially neutral, but it was not neutral at all. We loved the connection of her great grandfather and the spy/double agents. She has maps, photos, documentation that she shares. However, it wasn’t just WW2, when we were at Passeig de Gràcia, she gave detailed explanations of Casa Battlló (Gaudí), Casa Museu Amatller (delicious hot cocoa), and Casa Lleó Morera. We wanted a mostly WW2 tour with a little architecture too. Very highly recommended tour! Teo, a Great Guide and Historian!

Teo gave us a very informative tour of the gothic quarter. She took us into shops and explained the history/unique architecture of places the average tourist would walk by, and have no idea the historical significance or story of that spot is. This is the only type of tour you can get from a local, that really knows Barcelona. I would recommend doing this tour at the beginning of your trip, so you can return to places you saw on tour that you would like to spend more time at. Informative - not your typical tour!

She suggested I look at each store, get a business card and then venture back after lunch. Great advice!! Our host was a great guide for the area of the Gothic quarter and Jewish quarter, with a wonderful grasp of the history from the Romans to today. We really enjoyed our walking tour around Barcelona with A Teo. We had only booked the previous evening, so we didn’t have tickets to go into some of the more famous Gaudi buildings, but we gleaned lots of information from the exteriors, which are so full of details, and it was far more entertaining and in-depth than a stroll around on our own would have been. She also took us into some unusual spots we would not necessarily have thought of: a pharmacy, a bakery, etc, which had wonderful, original Art Nouveau interiors. A. Teo was really kind to rearrange the date of our tour last minute because I was unwell. She was an informative and friendly guide who showed us some of the secrets of Barri Gotic and El Born, including great pastry shops.
