Marko made the whole experience worthwhile. His suggestions and local knowledge ensured we got to see the best of Dubrovnik. It was a pleasure to have seen it through his eyes. He communicated prior to us meeting through WhatsApp and ensured he covered all of the things we wanted to do and see. He even used his own car to transport us around, which was spotlessly clean. An added touch was the thoughtful bottle of water he provided for us and he also treated us to refreshments halfway through the tour. “The wine tasting and street food tour is a great experience, not just for the excellent wine and cheese to start, but also for the opportunity to sit and chat with a local, being able to ask any questions. The evening was fun, we learned quite a bit about Dubrovnik itself and its development of the tourist industry in the last few years. It wasn't just a dry lecture, it was a fun conversation where Romana was very open about different cultural aspects, giving advice on how to further plan the holiday and just general smalltalk. While the main streets are quite busy in the evening, the wine bar and the street food shop werent too crowded and still allowed for a decent conversation without having to shout to get over the noise. Overall would definitely recommend the tour to get a more personal view and experience in dubrovnik.”Local experience

We had only a day and a half in Dubrovnik and needed someone to give us an overview upon which we could make the most of our time in the city. Marko more than filled that need. Born and raised in the city, with a passion for its history, culture, and arts, we spent three hours learning our way around the city and identifying places for further exploration on our own in the time we had left. “I cannot recommend Romana highly enough! She is the friendliest and loveliest tour guide we have ever had! It was such a wonderful tour being shown Dubrovnik from a local, she showed us hidden gems and gave us excellent advice from food recommendations to tourist information. She recommended excellent restaurants to eat at and took us to a local shop (which we would have never found by ourselves) where we had some local cuisine and coffee which was delicious, we even bought t-shirts from her fathers shop which was great value and a lovely reminder of our trip. This was the highlight of our trip and exceeded expectations. I highly recommend Romana’s tour as it made our stay in Dubrovnik so much more than the few tourist things you think of doing. As a Dubrovnik native, Marko was incredibly knowledgeable about Croatia, the city and its history. He told us remarkable and personal stories about the 1991-92 war and its effect on Croatia. He was flexible so that he easily tailored the tour to meet our needs. Besides Dubrovnik (and yes Game of Throne scenes), we went to Mount Srd for scenic views and Lokrum, a beautiful bio-diverse island. Marco exceeded our expectations. He lead us through Dubrovnik with great history, funny stories and patience. Our large group of 14 was grateful for the transportation from our cruise port to the city gates. Marco helped us shop, arranged for a tour of Lokrum island. He arranged for a lovely lunch at the only restaurant on the island and took us through ruins and botanical gardens. We enjoyed swimming on the island and cliff jumping into the clear waters.
