What you can expect
I'll pick you up from your hotel in Munich (or other locations by arrangement) for a scenic 2-hour drive through the Alps to Wattens, Austria, in my comfortable MPV. Our first stop is Swarovski Kristallwelten, a mesmerizing brand experience in the Austrian Alps that celebrates the brilliance and beauty of Swarovski Crystals. Art lovers and families alike will enjoy the stunning art installations, dazzling exhibits in the Chambers of Wonder, and the enchanting garden. This attraction showcases Swarovski's rich history, craftsmanship, and innovation.
Next, we'll visit the charming medieval Tratzberg Castle, a Renaissance gem among Europe's historic buildings. Explore its rare original furnishings and enjoy audio tours narrated by actors, transporting us to a time of emperors, princesses, and knights. We'll reach the castle via the quaint Tratzberg Express.
Please note, Tratzberg Castle is closed on Tuesdays. On those days, we can instead enjoy an amazing tour of Innsbruck, exploring its rich history and strolling through its picturesque streets.

This tour was great! Marjut is very kind, she even came to meet us at our hotel because we didn't know our way around and she gave us enough information about places to go and things to see that we could have made an entire second days worth of touring.
She is very flexible, she has her options of food places she goes to for you to get a taste of many aspects of Bavaria, but works with you on where to go, when to best fit your needs. For instance, my wife was hungry as we hadn't eaten in quite a few hours. So instead of starting with some of the history, we jumped right into some food! Though she has places in mind of where to go, if you ask her about a stand or what something is, she will take you to try it. Many of the food stands offered free samples too.
The most surprising thing to me was how good the Gluhwine (umlaut over the u, I just can't do it on this phone) was. My wife and I do not like wine, so hot wine didn't seem like something we would be into, but something about heating it up got rid of some of the typical bitter flavoring that wine has and made it sweeter. Perfect for a cold evening.
Only recommendation is if you book with her, the typical German expectation for gratuity is 10%. Bring a bit more 10-15 $/Euro, because she buys all the food for you while you wait at the tables.

Our time with Marjut was wonderful. We booked with her for the day we arrived in Munich at 2:30PM, as we knew we would be tired from travel and would like to get adjusted to and oriented around the city and have dinner already figured out. Her deep knowledge of Munich's history made the tour both informative and engaging, as she guided us to major sites, sharing fascinating stories along the way. The quantity of food was great too. We had at least four stops around the Viktualienmarkt for Leberkas, the best bratwurst we've ever had, sauerkraut and sausages in the biergarten, a pretzel, and pickles. We had a stop for haxen, which was delicious. We even had an apple strudel for dessert. By the end, we were full and grateful for her tips on where to explore further. We had an outstanding introduction to Munich thanks to Marjut. She took us through the heart of the city. We had an excellent tour of the Navarian Castles with Marjut. She showed up early, had drinks and snacks ready to go, was very informative during the entire trip, was super flexible all day long, and even was nice enough to stop and allow us to get some groceries on the way home. We were deeply disappointed in this experience. We weren't made aware that it is a public holiday in Germany and that most things will be closed. Marjut didn't pivot the situation, instead gave us a history walking tour, which is not at all what we have booked. Very, very annoyed and not worth the money at all.Complete waste

Marjut was very knowledgeable about the history of Munich and took us to many sights of interest around the city. She was friendly and very enthusiastic. Our only criticism is that we didn't try a lot of food, considering it was a food tour. We would have appreciated more variety in the food we sampled and being introduced to some of the lesser known delicacies. A good introduction to Munich

We had the best 10 Tastings of Munich with Marjut. We tried out so many new meats and foods. We also saw the most incredible local sites and found out so much about Munich. Make sure to schedule your tour early enough so that shops in the market don’t start closing on you. That was not Marjut’s fault. In fact she got us to a lot more places than I thought she would given the hour.

Marjut hat uns an einem heißen Sommertag frisch und fröhlich empfangen und hat uns sehr versiert durch die Innenstadt Münchens geführt. Wir konnten aus drei Optionen wählen, wie wir München von oben aus sehen wollen, denn es gibt sowohl die Möglichkeit Treppen zu erklimmen (Alter Peter), als auch bequem mit dem Fahrstuhl zu fahren (Frauenkirche). Sie ging nicht nur hier auf unsere Wünsche ein, so dass wir sehr individuell geführt wurden. Auch vermittelte sie nicht den Eindruck, unter Zeitdruck zu stehen, sondern führte uns als wären wir schon länger befreundet. We had a delightful afternoon with Majut. She took us to many interesting sights and shared wonderful information about each inserting entertaining legends for some of the sites. Marjut met us on time at the Munich Train Station. She helped us with luggage lockers and tram tickets. She guided us on a wonderful walking tour of the downtown Munich area sharing information and history. The architecture of the buildings was inspiring. She purchased us authentic Bavaria snacks which was fun and tasty. She even guided us all the way to our hotel after the tour in East Munich which we appreciated greatly. We had an absolute stellar day with Marjut. She went over and beyond what we expected for our tour on our way to the Castle Tour she asked us if we would like to stop at a monastery on the way. It was absolutely incredible. I am so glad that she recommended for us to stop. She stopped a little café that we could eat and look at the castles with a beautiful view, she had drinks ready for us, nuts, snacks, if needed. I have mobility issues due to neurological condition and she made sure that I got to see the castle. took time and was very patient and very encouraging. We had an amazing tour in the Bavarian Castles, bridge, villages and much more.

My name is Marjut and I'm originally from Finland, but I fell in love with the German language and decided to visit Germany and stay there for a while. I very quickly fell in love with the German mentality and way of life and so Germany became my new home. That was a long time ago... and in the end I found the most beautiful area to live in: Bavaria.
Munich, the state capital of Bavaria, is old-fashioned and at the same time very modern and lively. Together we will explore the most interesting places in the old town and I will tell you the fascinating stories about these places. We will also talk about the events in the Third Reich and visit these places.
You'll definitely get a feeling of Munich and discover how easy it is to fall in love with Bavaria!
