Wir haben unseren Nachmittag mit Hnoi sehr genossen. Die Organisation und Kommunikation war sehr gut. Hnoi holte uns uns am vereinbarten Treffpunkt ab und schon ging es los Richtung Markt. Mit ihrer sympathischen Art haben wir uns direkt gut begleitet gefühlt. Auf dem Markt angekommen kosteten wir uns durch die Thai-Küche und Geschmäcker. Von kleinen Snacks (herzhaft und süß), über Suppen, Salate und natürlich Bestandteile von Hauptspeisen blieb kein Wunsch offen. Es war eine gute Mischung aus Essen von Ständen und in kleinen Restaurants. Auch die Menge war gut gewählt. Ja, es war einiges, aber nicht zu viel. Ich schätzte besonders die Erklärungen zu den Köstlichkeiten. Genau danach suchte ich. Wer könnte das besser machen als eine Chefköchin?! Nach unserer Tour sendete mir Hnoi schöne Fotoimpressionen von unserem Stationen. Ich könnte mir vorstellen die Tour etwas länger zu gestalten. Chef Hnoi was amazing. She met us perfectly on time and was extremely friendly and welcoming to us and our 3 children, despite them being extremely hot and bothered. We had a lovely tour around one of the very local markets and tasted food we would not have dared ordered ourselves. When we needed to adjust the tour for the children to find somewhere cool and some cold drinks she found a lovely little place out the back of the main market. Where to even begin ... From the outset, Hnoi was amazing. Kind, thoughtful, accommodating, and extremely knowledgeable, we could not have asked for a better guide. Unfortunately we were seriously late due to city traffic, and us not knowing any better as tourists, but Hnoi was accepting of the situation and didn't miss a beat. The food was out of this world, but that really is just a part of this tour. Hnoi is truly a special person who made us smile early and often. We seriously hope our paths cross again! Chef Hnoi was fabulous. We gave her a big challenge....satisfying someone with professional Chef experience while negotiating around multiple allergies. We really enjoyed the food tour with Chef Hnoi. She adapted the tour to our request for predominantly vegetarian delicacies. Visiting a local market is a “must do” when in Bangkok but if you’re like me, the sheer variety and unfamiliarity of the food make it rather intimidating. 

Have no fear, Chef Hnoi skillfully guided us through the Wang Lang Market, stopping at her favourite food stalls, explaining the ingredients, the preparation methods, and the stories about the lovely people preparing the food. What can I say that has not already been said? First Hnoi is a rock star. Such a beautiful lovely human being with a great sense of humour. I went for lunch with her one day at a local food market that was epic. The next day we did a food tour around the hospital area of Bangkok and we had a great time. All of us are foodies and she was able to educate us about some Thai foods we had not tried before and some improvements on those we had. Changes in the attitude of guides when they talk to locals is one of the most interesting things i notice on a tour. Some guides shift into business mode and you wonder if the attitude they have for the area and the people is really sincere. Others are so much more relaxed and talkative with the locals that you start to feel that divide between them and you instead. Chef Hnoi does a truly truly incredible job of avoiding both. Chef Hnoi was always giving her 100% and we were immediately adapting the tour specifically to suit what i had and hadn't yet tried on my trip. All of the food was amazing. But more importantly, the mutual respect and strong relationship between Hnoi and the local businesses was evident at every single stop. Its clear that Chef Hnoi has an amazing knowledge and passion for the local area and cuisine; and it is contagious! I rolled onto the ferry home with a very full stomach, and an even bigger smile. Foolishly this tour was the final part of my trip. Next time i, or anyone i know will be in Thailand, ill make sure Hnoi is my first stop.Food was amazing,Chef Hnoi was even better

We are SO happy we met Chef Hnoi. She is smart, kind, and very generous (and her English is perfect, having lived in the US for years). We did two tours with Hnoi. She took us to markets that have fewer foreigners so we experienced them more like locals do. Chef Hnoi spoke fluent English and was very easy to hang around with. She showed us many interesting street foods we would never have ended up trying ourselves :) The boat noodles were amazing!!! We also thoroughly enjoyed walking through the Wang Lang area with her and ended our tour at a little hole in the wall restaurant with amazing Thai food. She took very good care of my kids too (8 and 10) and was thoughtful of them. I also found my long lost love “Roti Sai Mai” and she showed us a video of how it was made. If you are a foodie and want someone flexible, knowledgeable and just FUN, Chef Hnoi is the one for you. She is open to ideas and is easy to work with. She arranged a adventurous dragon boat ride through the canals off the Chao Phrya River, did a tour of Chinatown, Helped us design a gourmet lunch at the Thonbori Seafood Market and got us back to our hotel in a timely fashion. Wish we had more hours with her. Her mastery of the English language is spot on and her display of a genuine love for what she does is quite evident. As a fellow Chef in Hawaii, I can attest to her knowledge of food. If you are so lucky to be able to book her ( she is much sought out after) , lock in that reservation like our group of 6 did. We arranged a private van for the day ( Bangkok Beyond) and hired Hnoi as our guide. It was helpful that she would explain to the driver where to go. Easy Peasy! Chef Hnoi has organized our trip to the train market and boat market with a private driver. She came to pick us up at the hotel on time and has a perfect English and Spanish. At the market she explained to us various types of local fruits and food and made us try them. She showed us places where tourists don’t go, had a private long tail boat to take us to the local floating market far away from the tourist’s places, which was great. I don't even know what to say. Hnoi wasn't just a guide, I feel like we're friends now. She is unbelievable! I felt at home almost immediately with her. We booked a custom tour by just sending her a message about what types of things we found interesting. She put a tour together for us and honestly it was the BEST choice we made in Bangkok. She can clearly read people and would notice what we became intrigued with, and would re-tailor the tour along the way to just let us go with the flow of our souls. The tour: Phenomenal. We looked at history, culture, and food. We stopped by the train station for fun and she ties in beautiful childhood memories. Then we went to a temple and found peace and togetherness, while learning about how the golden buddha came to be. Her knowledge is endless and just breath taking! After that we went through chinatown where we sat for the MOST unforgettable tea tasting of all time, sampled street food, Thai snacks, and had a beautiful lunch that brought tears to my friends eyes (as Hnoi brought a candle from home and surprised her with a birthday treat and got an entire restaurant to sing to her). We stopped in at another temple and had the opportunity to say our private and deepest prayers over a donation. We shopped, laughed, cried, and by the end of it we were ready to move in with her. Chef Hnoi: One of the purest souls. She is smart, talented, knowledgeable, interesting and interested! We almost cried having to leave her and hugged her the tightest before parting ways. She became our friend and as soon as she wasn't with us, we missed her deeply- we're still talking about her. She's traveled the world and done so many wonderful things to follow her heart- and we thank the universe she became a guide. We almost didn't book a guide- so if you're on the fence, I am telling you...you will regret not doing it. Hnoi fees like the kindest and most loving hug on the planet. Her story is impressive, her knowledge is deep, and her kindness is impeccable. She is honest about where to buy things for the best prices- which helped us feel incredibly confident. Even after the tour ended she messaged us a list of recommendations for the rest of our stay to include times she recommended going to places, costs, and things we should try. We booked the Hidden Gems tour with Hnoi and she gave us the perfect start for our first stay in Bangkok. We visited a local mall, the flower market, the temple Wat Arun and a street market. We had a beautiful morning in Bangkok visiting several key attractions with our daughter led by our guide, Chef Hnoi. Chef Hnoi was very polite, always adapted to our rhythm and especially shared a lot of details related to culture, history and living in Bangkok. It was my teen daughter’s first time in Bangkok and this was the kind of tour that we were looking for. Not the cookie cutter kind that brings you in big tour buses and just goes thru the motions of the temples and city landmarks. Chef Hnoi took us to BKK gems from a local’s perspective, and along the way met her friends and colleagues working in the markets, handmade craft artisans, etc. She was also able to customize the tour for us according to what we wanted to see. We did not realize that we have been walking around for 3 hours because every moment was both entertaining and informative. The highlight for us was going to the local food and flower market, and visiting the subway station that had artifacts from hundreds of years back. Of course the temple visits were a must, and our timing was perfect as it was away from the busy crowds. Highly recommend Chef Hnoi with her extensive knowledge and great communication skills! I would highly recommend Chef Hnoi as a guide if you are in Bangkok. Chef Hnoi went out of her way to make us all feel very welcome, and ensured the itinerary was interesting to both adults and our daughter, who is 9. Although we have been to Bangkok previously, we saw things that were new to us, and also got great explanation of the main tourist attractions and life in Bangkok. Chef Hnoi background in food was interesting, and we especially enjoyed time at the markets, with the chance to try many different food stalls and sharing dishes at restaurants. It felt like we were travelling with family. I do not think there is a better guide in Bangkok. From our daughter “She is so nice and taught us many things. We never would have experienced Bangkok the way we did without Chef Hnoi and only wish we would have booked her earlier in our trip! Our family of 8 booked a tour with Chef Hnoi and everyone is still talking about how much they enjoyed the experience. Chef Hnoi was very tactful in organizing the tour based on interests and language and physical capabilities of our large family. Hnoi walked us through a local shopping center where we learned about and tried local foods, and she pointed out some trustworthy vendors. She then walked us through the flower market and helped us find/try a local fruit a friend had recommended. Hnoi was always quick to point out what was unique about each of the places and items we experienced. For instance, a small museum that’s a hidden gem inside an MRT station! We then headed to a local temple. The highlight of the tour was her knowledge about the history of the places we visited, the etiquette to follow, and the important meanings of what we saw to local culture. At the end, we asked for recommendations for a local eatery and she made sure we were taken care at the restaurant before she left us. We loved every moment of our experience and wholesome recommended Chef Hnoi!Chef Hnoi is exceptional

Thanks to Hnoi I immediately fell in love with Chinatown. She is an amazing, caring host who seems to be well-connected and respected. It was like having a walk and a lovely chat with a friend. Our familiy had 4 days in Bangkok, in which we wanted to learn more about the highlights and history of the city. We chose Chef Hnoi from Withlocals to guide our tour. She guided us through temples, China town and the Flower marked. We had a really great day (a bit warm :-) ), and learned a lot about Bangkok.
