Our food tour with Irini was amazing. We stopped at a bunch of excellent places with a great variety of local food. Our first stop was a "test" so she could guage what we liked and she adjusted our route based on that. Irini is a great guide - very personable, easy to talk to and fun to be around. We had an awesome experience with Dimitris. He is relaxed, yet very well organized, he cared about making sure we were enjoying ourselves. He brought us to places we would have never found on our own, off the beaten tourist path. He made sure we discovered the best authentic Greek food, and we had plenty to eat! At the same time, we learned about the culture and customs of local people. He was very attentive to our needs and was able to answer all the questions we had. Highly recommended!! We travel many times a year and often do a food tasting tour the first day. This was the worst food tour we have ever experienced. The food we tasted was incredibly unimaginative (for example: a package of oregano and a package of bread sticks from a supermarket as two of the tastings!) Evanthia did not seem to have any real knowledge of Greek food, nor did she take us anywhere to taste any interesting local cuisine, except 2 pieces of filo pie we shared between the 5 of us. I DO NOT recommend a food tour with Evanthia. We were hugely underwhelmed.Disappointing food tour with Evanthia

Voula was wonderful. So friendly and knowledgeable. She showed us some historical ruins, talked about Greek culture as well as an incredible food tour. We hit many local eateries, a honey producer, went to the fresh market, tasted fresh nuts and olives as well as raki. Having a knowledgeable guide choosing which shops to try various dishes makes such a difference. Not everything was to our taste, but we could tell that we were getting quality offerings. Our group of 8 had a fantastic early evening food walking tour with Georgia. Plenty of food and drink and lots of laughs. Georgia was passionate and very knowledgeable about the Athens food scene. She also provided us an extensive list of neighborhoods and restaurants off the beaten path. Her dinner recommendation in the Petrlona neighborhood was the best meal we had in Athens. There were 9 of us with Yorgos. Some have never done this type of tour before. He was super accommodating with such a large group. Yorgos gave us a meeting spot within walking distance of our hotel and it was super easy to find. We had SOOOOO much food. Everything was fantastic. Some small bites and then we sat down at a restaurant and had a feast!!! We learned the history of the food and tried so many different things. I would recommend this 100% but probably do less than 9 people lol was a bit harder to find places to sit with that many. What a fun experience!

What a fun few hours we had as Irini took us around Athens and showed us some hidden gems. We did a great cheese and meat tasting, visited a spice shop and the central market, went to a hole in the wall we'd never have noticed for dinner and finished up with some loukamades. We had a long layover in Athens and decided to explore the city. Georgia agreed to start our tour earlier (Saturday morning). However, some food joints, especially meat places, were closed at those early hours. It wasn’t Georgia’s fault, but it was a slight disappointment. de 10 proeverijen waren helaas niet verspreidt over 10 locaties. op 1 locatie kregen we al 4 gerechten. De grote wandeling waar we op gehoopt hadden werd een kleine wandeling. Daarnaast was het erg jammer dat er gevaped werd door de gids, ook tijdens het eten. Iets wat in Nederland echt niet kan of je vraagt of iemand bezwaar heeft dat er fevaped wordt. Tegenvaller dus

Vasiliki has great energy and it is evident her venders appreciate her. She gave us a wide variety of tastes - olives, honey, nuts, meat & cheese, slouvaki and a deliciously sweet doughnut/ice cream dessert. We had our 9 year old with us and Vasiliki engaged with her tremendously. She was very informational about the city of Athens and gave suggestions for areas to wander for our remaining days. We highly recommend Vasiliki, she was hands down our favorite food tour guide we have ever had (we’ve done several food tours lately in Italy & Portugal). Lovely!
