We had an incredible time on the 10 Tastings of Barcelona tour with Maria. She was warm, flexible (even rescheduling when our flights were delayed), and went out of her way to accommodate our vegetarian, non-alcoholic family—including our kids (ages 8, 14, and 16) and grandparents! The food was absolutely delicious—Spanish omelet, toasted tomato bread, and an unforgettable vegetarian paella at a place she brings her own family. Maria made the experience feel so personal, sharing not just food, but her love for her city and culture. We left full, happy, and with amazing memories. Maria is a lovely young woman with a keen sense of humor. We started the tour with a churro and rich chocolate dipping sauce, and an illuminating description of the structure of contemporary Barcelona which we soon visited. We then went to a neighborhood restaurant where we ate 5 or 6 tapas and had two drinks common to Barcelona. The culinary tour ended at a bar where we each (wife and I) had a glass of wine and 2 pintxos, one of the exquisite finger foods in this world.Our time with the Catalan storyteller

He took us on a 3 hour walk around the Gothic section of Barcelona, stopping at several restaurants to taste local cuisine, topped off by a delicious chocolate pastry desert. A friend recommended the WithLocals experiences so we booked a food tour with Brendan. We started with some churros and chocolate then had a beautiful walk through the old city down to the beach. Brendan was very knowledgeable about the history of this part of Spain. We wandered the streets looking for images of St. George and the dragon. We finished up at a very locals-only tapas bar where we sampled the local cuisine. I would recommend this experience and we thought that Brendan was very personable and his knowledge of the history and food of Catalan were a real plus. Great history and food

Liliia was a fabulous guide. Despite have been to Barcelona several times Liliia took us to places where we had not been before and restaurants and bars which we would have otherwise not discovered. Recently visited Barcelona and booked a food tour through 'Withlocals', specifically with Federico. I can honestly say it was a highlight of our visit ! Federico was engaging, knowledgeable and full of interesting facts about Barcelona, Catalunya and Spain. He covered everything from local landmarks and history through to economics and politics, a great range of discussion that extended our knowledge of this wonderful city. But ... The best bit was that he took us to some wonderful places to eat and drink that we wouldn't have visited otherwise. The quality of food and wine we experienced was excellent, all in establishments that were truly 'local'. We ended up going back to a couple of these during the remainder of our stay for our evening meals. We started our tour in Old Town, which is a wonderful part of Barcelona. We visited a number of unique restaurants where we tasted an interesting assortment of Tapas. Federico chose a wonderful and diverse menu based on our preferences. The evening ended with a visit to the Chocolate shop where we tasted terrific sweets dipped in chocolate. We did the 10 tastings of Barcelona with Elvira. As a family of four ( 2 adults and 2 kids (10 and 13), we had very different preferences for food. She adjusted quickly and made sure we had a great tour. As it was our first day in Barcelona, and we were very jet-lagged, we were not as hungry as we should have been for such a tour, so she quickly pivoted and included some walking and historic tour of the City. She was very knowledgeable. She was very generous with her time, and made sure everyone had a good time. I highly recommend!Super flexible and great with kids!

Sebastian was punctual and waiting for us with a big smile, that made us feel like old friends from the first moment we met. He guided us through delicious local tapas and patisseries at unique local spots that we would never had found without a Host :) Between spots he told interesting stories and fun facts about the city. What an amazing experience! I can't even just call it a tour, it was definitely an experience! Alan was amazing and really went above and beyond! We ate so much delicious food, trying things we hadn't yet as well. He picked great places to stop. Drink recommendations to pair with our food was great as well. Now comes the best part...Alan our guide, friend, host, teacher... He was AMAZING! So much knowledge shared in such a wonderful way! To say he went above and beyond is an understatement! He showed us so much. You could tell he loved being there sharing his knowledge of the beautiful city of Barcelona as much as we did! We arrived in Barcelona mid-morning and by mid-afternoon we were enjoying our first taste of of tapas with Federico at the Mercy de Santa Caterina. Such a beautiful tile roof. We sat and enjoyed calamari, patatas bravas, and olives after declining the suggested tripe and / or snail soup. From there we went to La Plata for fried anchovies, tomato salad, and a sausage on pan tomato. Federico said we should try vermouth as it's a typical accompaniment to tapas. We had one more stop and enjoyed manchego, salami, and cooked sausages including chorizo and Iberico morcilla with cava. Following this we made one more stop at a panaderia for take out as we simply couldn't hold our 10th taste!Tapas in the afternoon.

Marina was nice and tried her best but the description said the experience would accommodate vegetarians and vegans. this was not true especially for my vegan wife. The price was outrages for the value. I fault the tour company and not Marina. We had a group of 4 and 2 of us would eat anything. When we reached the place for dessert, we were informed that we had used our allotted expenditure and we had to buy cookies on our own. Our guide did her best but the tour was not as described. Very disappointing. Description misleading, poor value

This was my first trip to Barcelona, and being a foody, I was looking forward to this experience. Moisés is an experienced guide, with a wealth of historical and local knowledge. He's friendly and has a lot of passion both for the city and the local cuisine. I liked that it wasn't too heavy on history or facts. Instead, everything he was telling us about the city was relevant. It helped me to understand and appreciate how the city came to be. Another highlight was learning do's and dont's around eating out in Barcelona; the local customs. And of course, the food we tasted was absolutely amazing! So much so that I then visited some of the sights on the next day just to indulge my tastes buds one more time. I highly recommend this tour, and Moisés in particular to anyone who likes tasting local cuisine. It's a great experience to do early in your trip - you'll get some recommendations for what to do and where to eat at the end of the tour and it's worth exploring those.A tasty introduction to Barcelona
