We ended up going on tour with Bruno! He what’s aped me a few days before our trip to introduce himself. Bruno also asked us if we wanted to change the date because of the weather conditions! That worked out great! Bruno was easy to understand and took us to interesting places to try the local fare and taught us about the city! We booked a tour for a group of 9 with Adriano and had one of the best tour experiences I've ever had in all my travels. The walk and explanations were delightful and vivid, Adriano clearly has forged strong relationships with folks all over the city, and the food was absolutely unparalleled. Adriano was fantastic! Knowledgeable and informative about everything Bari, food and culture. He helped my mum find an Optometrist to fix her glasses (translating for us as well) which was very much appreciated. The tour itself was perfect. We explored all over new and old towns of Bari and enjoyed so much food and wine. Vito met us by the Castle and proceeded to give us interesting history about the beautiful and multicultural city of Bari. I took this tour with my three children between ages 20 and 30. The food was incredible, and everywhere we went it was clear that Vito is liked. He is so knowledgeable and friendly and gives from his heart. Entering the beautiful churches was interesting as well, and a wonderful break from the generous portions of food and the hot sun. We can’t decide what was our favorite food! Vito was an incredible tour guide and exceeded our expectations. We signed up for a food tour in Bari, Italy and he delivered on that and so much more. We asked Adriano for a custom tour of local neighborhoods instead of the typical tourist spots and he delivered a very special half-day walking tour. We started at the open air market where locals buy vegetables, seafood, and more. We walked by the train station, parks, university and theaters. He explained the historic evolution of the different areas of the city and highlighted different building styles. The best part was all of the local places that we visited where he knew the owners who welcomed us warmly as he explained how the family that owned the bakery actually drove McDonald's out of the countyside. We ate warm focaccia like locals on the go, toured a 100-year-old wine shop where they hid in the cellar during the war, and even visited the local shoemaker. He showed us the spot where he meets friends to listen to music, read a book or enjoy a beer. It was 100% unique and exactly what we hoped it would be. Wonderful tour of how locals live in Bari

Bruno guided us for two days around the small towns of Puglia where we sampled really good local wines and restaurants. There are many small towns in this region and some are overlooked by tourists but have equally beautiful ancient streets that makes Puglia so special. I highly recommend him if you want to broaden your experience beyond the usual touristy spots. He’s a must for the food and wine experience as this regions has some amazing wine bargains. We were fortunate to find Adriano. He was responsive. That is a big deal for us. We got the tour we wanted not a packaged presentation. We both had Barese grandparents and so a keen interest in the culture and customs and he was able to add richness to what we had been told. He brought us through the old city and gave us a picture of their way of life. We even got to meet a couple of them. He explained the later growth and showed us the life of the modern city. Not only a great tour, but a foundation for our exploration on our own the next day. Couldn’t Have Been Better

When my husband and I decided on going to Italy, we planned the places we wanted to visit. He then sent me on the quest to find the tours and places to stay. I found With Locals and the tours offered. We could have chosen a number of guides, however, Adriano's eyes smiled with the rest of his face. His welcoming bio told us all we needed to know. When we met him in person, he knew the answers to the questions a religion teacher would ask! He showed us the back allies of the city and introduced us to the food. He even was kind enough to change the meeting place to where we were staying since it was close to the start of where we were most interested in on the tour! St. Nicholas' shrine!! My wife and I booked a last minute trip to Puglia in July. We booked a food tour with Bruno in Bari for our first day, but had nothing else planned. The food tour was great. Bruno took us to some great food spots (we still dream about the focaccia) and also mixed in history of Bari and Puglia. We've done a bunch of food tours around Europe, and my wife and I said to each other after the tour that this one with Bruno felt like we were hanging out with a friend. Bruno also helped us book great tours at a cheese factory and winery and also gave us a bunch of recommendations for sites to see in Puglia. I wish I found Bruno earlier so I could have had him plan my whole trip, and I absolutely would use him again and will recommend him to any friends traveling to the area. My wife and another couple we met on our ship, toured with Adriano 10/21/24. Adriano met us, at an easy place for us to find, in the city. From the time he introduced himself to the group, until he said goodbye, Adriano was passionate about his city. We walked and it seemed like on every block he met someone he knew and gave them a very impassioned Ciao. He spoke very clearly and ‘never missed a beat about every part of the city. My group felt like a local for two straight hours.
