Diego was fantastic excellent communication prior to the tour starting, he asked us what we wanted to get out of the tour with him and he planned on what we said. Our family of 4 did the 3 hour tour with Wayra on our first day in Bogota. She took us through La Candelaria and Santa Fe districts and provided interesting facts about the history. We enjoyed our tour with Wayra to the local food market, tasting fruit and fruit juices we did not know existed, delicious local bread and chica. We had such a wonderful time on our tour with Wayra! Even before our day, Wayra was communicative and open to working with us to make a walking tour that catered to our interests. Her suggestion to tweak our outting to include the Paloqueamo Market based on our curiosity about all the Colombian fruits was so thoughtful. So that’s where we started, and I’m so glad we did! Visiting the market with her was so much fun and a fascinating peek into Colombian culture - she bought like 10 fruits for us and organized for them to be cut so we could easily try them, told us stories about when she or Colombians in general eat them, translated what sellers wanted us to know, and even had us stop to try breads. It was so fun! From there we went to La Calendaria where we toured her favorite hidden gems, heard history and superstitions alike, saw some amazing views, walked through highlights at the Botero museum, and made a (fantastic) coffee stop to keep our energy high. Wayra’s energy, fun, creativity and care all came through and truly made the tour feel like a well organized walk with a dear friend. As you might imagine, would highly recommend doing a tour with Wayra to get to know Bogota! A wonderful, memorable tour experience!

Having just landed in Bogota we wanted to explore the city, but also had safety concerns so wanted to get up to speed quickly. Wayra was the perfect guide to achieve this. Our small group of 5 met up with Carlos in the Kreuzberg area, where he escorted us to three pubs/bars and one liquor store/off license. Each of the bars had a different atmosphere and the beers were all good. It was a good way to learn about the drinking culture in Berlin and to see an area of the city that was not near to our hotel. As we were all hungry Carlos helped us to sort out a falafel snack which was very tasty. All in all we really enjoyed the evening and it helped us feel more confident when going out to bars during the rest of our stay.Craft beer tour of Berlin

The food tour with Carlos had a good mix of history, current events, and, well, food. You'll eat at a few places that would never show up in a tourist's guidebook, and also be sure to ask about the falafel place that is almost a literal hole in the wall! The tour is also quite flexible, depending on how long you would like to stay at a certain place, or whether you'd like to eat in/out, etc. Recommended!Friggin' fantastic food tour!
