My husband and I were spending two nights in Bruges, and we wanted to explore the area with a local to see parts of Bruges that we might otherwise miss, learn more about the history of the city, and of course taste some of its specialties. We arrived at the meeting point about ten minutes early, and Tom was already there waiting for us. Tom took us all over Bruges, showed us landmarks and explained so much history with great stories. He was very engaging, and also very patient with my many stops to take photos. Tom offered us a nice variety of local foods and drinks to sample. We really enjoyed them all, but our favorite tasting stops were the chocolatier and the brewery. All-in-all, I would say that our tour of Bruges made for an absolutely perfect afternoon. We recently took a food tour in Bruges, but overall, it was disappointing. While we enjoyed tasting chocolates, waffles, beers, fries, and Flemish stew, the portions were small, and we expected more food for the price. Our guide was wonderful—friendly and knowledgeable, offering some fantastic local recommendations that added to our experience. However, the lack of sufficient samples left us feeling unsatisfied. For the price we paid, we anticipated a more fulfilling experience, so despite our guide’s efforts, the tour fell short of our expectations.Very nice guide, not as much food

We had Artur as our guide for our 3 hour tasting tour. He was fabulous and very knowledgeable about Brugge, the country and everything else in between. Very good at picking the spots that we would enjoy. Waffle stop was fabulous and we went back the next day for breakfast. Belgium Fries / Stew was a fabulous very rich gal our end to the tour. We stopped at a brewery that was fabulous and overlooked the market. He showed us a sculpture on a building that he said was suppose to be a bear, but looked like a cat. Lol. Again, I would reccomend Artur as a guide and also this tour for anyone. Great experience and guide

We have been on many food tours, and found that Arthur's portion control allowed us to enjoy his selections without feeling over-full at the end of the tour. We very much appreciated his kindness and flexibility. To better reflect Flemish and/or Bruges cuisine, some additional dishes would be nice to try such as Chicons au Gratin and Garnaalkroketten. Artur is an amazing host. He has a terrific sense of humor, is very knowledgeable about the area and a great storyteller. He kept us entertained with local tidbits that you possibly couldn’t gather exploring on your own. He also took us to spots were we samples amazing Belgian staples including pralines, truffles, fries, waffles and beer. We loved the food so much that we ended up going there the next day as well. Artur was fantastic as a local tour guide from start to finish! Not only was he knowledgable about the local history and foods, he was entertaining as he articulated the stories! The food stops chosen were the best choices! We enjoyed a variety of artisanal chocolates, Belgium waffles, beef stew with Belgium fries, and local beer! This should be a definite to-do on anyone’s bucket list! We could be a bit biased, but I’d say that Artur was the best choice! Artur, we attempted to get the golden dragon back, but they said NO! 🤣Educational, Entertaining and Tasty!

Martin did an amazing job guiding us around Brugge and filling our belly's along the way. We appreciated hearing about the cultural, food, and beer histories of the city. Are only wish would have been for the food offerings to be a little more diverse as we had multiple chocolates, waffle, and beer tastings, but then again it is Belgium and those along with fries are the staples. I so enjoyed Martin’s history telling on different sites and the food locations he chose for our small group of 4 were delicious! His connections with the locals were obviously bases mutual respect. What an incredible day we had with Martin (self, wife and 2 daughters). I would strongly recommend this taste of Bruge tour on foot at the beginning of anyone’s Bruge experience as you get so much information about the city and history all while gaining a good sense for the area. Martins “insiders guide” to the best local food and drink spots as well as hidden alleyways and recommendations for things to do the remainder of our trip were so helpful. You wouldn’t have difficulty finding fantastic beers, waffles, (Belgian) fries, and chocolate on your own, but you also likely wouldn’t stumble upon the special gems that he brought us to. Martin is an amazing storyteller with a passion for this amazing city he calls home. 11 stars out of 10!!! Everything expected and more!
