Our family met with Marek for a food tour of Gdaลsk. We learned about Polish food (and vodka) traditions, but what we loved perhaps more was understanding the historical context and influences shaping Poland's culinary landscape. Marek has an impressive knowledge of Poland's development as a nation and he shared stories and answered our questions along our tour. My wife and I booked a food and beer tour in Gdaลsk. Marek is a great tour guide and host. He provided history of the region and his personal perspective of the city as we walked through Gdaลsk to the restaurants and breweries. The food was plentiful and very tasty! The beer samplings were just as impressive with the highlight being the Jopenbier.

Marek could not have planned a better day for us! Heโs so friendly, and truly born and raised there in Gdansk. Plus, he studied history and architecture, so he was such an encyclopedia of knowledge. And he gave us more than just the usual historical facts, he gave us history into the culture and people, things I donโt think youโd get in a standard tour. And our food stops were so delicious! He told us the history of the dishes and how his family would prepare them etc. It was truly THE PERFECT experience!The best Gdansk experience!

Marek is a charming young man with a great depth of local knowledge. He is obviously passionate about his hometown of Gdansk and enjoys sharing the history and stories of the city. Marek brought to life the history of Poland and Gdansk, from past and present in an educational and interesting way. As a family with teenage children, we would never have visited and experienced what we did without Marek. One of the highlights was the food, which reflected the various influencers that Poland has been influenced by throughout history. Markek was unfortunately unwell on the day, however arranged a collegue Christoph to cover the tour.
Christoph was excellent-very personable, good knowledge and friendly.
Food experience was amazing - tried local dishes (zoup)drinks experience (inc: cherry liqueur and local vodka/beer). The places we visited and the food we had, we would not of tried had we not gone on the tour.

We had a really fantastic afternoon with Marek. He kindly put together a food and walking tour based on our requirements, and we were treated to the sights and flavours of gdansk. It is such a beautiful town! Marek is so knowledgeable about local history, and also recommended us places to go on other days (for food and cultural excursions). We are a group of 3 adults, and it was great to have a private tour with Marek. We can be a little unruly and probably demanding, and Marek dealt with us with humour and kindness. After a minor delay (5 mins due to snow related traffic) we met our host Marek. Marek was extremely knowledgable regarsing the architectural and historic sights in and around Ghdansk, which really added to the food tour. The Polish Resteraunt qe went to was first class, we experinced 10 different tastes of Ghdansk/Polish cuisine. From Sour Soup, to Pierogies and Amber Beer, it was all excellent and really ticked the box as authentic Polish cuisine tasting. Mark had a change of plans so we ended up touring with Kaja and she was a superb guide! Very friendly and informative. We spent 2 hours walking through the main part of Gdansk with her and it was the perfect amount of time. The tour had a really good balance of details and variety of sights - some off the beaten path. One of the best tour guides weโve ever had! Kaja is an excellent guide!

Marek is an excellent, very knowledgeable guide. The two hours were packed with interesting information about Gdansk, we should have booked a longer tour. However, when booking, one has to note that the withlocals platform does not entirely reliably show the hours Marek is not available. This is not Marek's fault, and Marek immediately tried to get into touch with us, but it can nevertheless cause unnecessary inconvenience. Good choice

We booked a 2 hour private tour for 6 people which was great value and the perfect introduction to Gdansk.
Marek arrived promptly and was an engaging, interesting and entertaining host.
The tour was a really well balanced mix of history, architectural oversights and social observations.
It was a really cold day but Marek held our attention throughout.

Marek took us on a short two hour tour of the old town of Gdansk that was highly interesting and entertaining. Marekโs passion, enthusiasm and extensive knowledge of the subject matter was plainly obvious, plus in spite of the short amount of time, he conveyed everything clearly and in a very enjoyable manner. Plus, when we were caught in a brief 30 minute downpour, he paused the tour while we took shelter and then resumed where we had left off, still putting in the full 2 hours of tour time.
