Tour la Alhambra with an Art Historian – What Better Experience! Ana gave us an amazing tour of la Alhambra. There is no shortage of things to see or ground to cover. In 4 hours, though, Ana was able to take us to all of the main sights (Gardens, Summer palace, Nasrid Palaces, Charles V Palace, and the Alcazaba) without any of it ever feeling rushed. She was able to give us a wealth of information about the art, the history, and the art history. She was also deft at helping us avoid the crowds – which is no small feat in la Alhambra. Being an art historian herself – and a bit of a historian too, we suspect – Ana was able to make the history and the art come alive. The Alhambra is exquisite and having someone who can share stories, context, and things to look out for makes the experience so much better.
