Loan, our local guide, is super nice and accommodating. She is very familiar with the Hanoi neighborhood and took us to sample scrumptious and unique cuisines. We enjoyed fresh green papaya salad, deep fried fermented pork rolls, banh mi with fresh vegetables and BBQ pork from the grill. We then had an ice cold local beer to clear our palates before fragrant beef broth pho. It has been a wonderful experience to navigate the Old Quarter to work off some of the extra calories. We ended our tour watching the train pass through as we sipped rice wine at Train Street. Perfect day!Best food tasting ever at Hanoi!

We had a lot of fun during our tour with Lien. She contacted us a few days before we actually met and changed the tour a bit to match our requirements. The chosen locations and dishes exactly matched, what we had expected from a street food tour. The dishes were very tasty and for sure we did not return hungry to our hotel. As well her recommendation for an egg-coffee cafe, which she had left out intentionally because of the time of the day, turned out to be a perfect choice. Vielen Dank Lien für diese super Tour. Wir sind beide mehr als begeistert, Lien hat sich sehr viel Zeit genommen, alles toll erklärt und viele Tipps gegeben. Die kleinen Restaurants und Straßenstände hätten wir sonst nie getestet. Es gibt 10 Speisen und man sollte auf jeden Fall einen großen Hunger mitbringen. Der Preis für die Tour ist mehr als gerechtfertigt!!! Ein toller Abschluss war ein Kaffeeshop in einer alten Villa welcher uns am Tisch genau zeigte wie ein Egg-Coffee zubereitet wird und die Entstehung wurde auch erklärt. Wir hatten einen großartigen Tag mit Lien, sie liebt was sie tut. Unbedingte Empfehlung!

Amazing 3hrs walking around the streets of Hanoi sampling tasty street food. Trang was a really good host ordering all sorts of yummy snacks as we walked. Certainly left with a full belly and a better knowledge of what to order as we travel through the country. Great food tour

Trang was an amazing food guide. She took us to amazing spots and customized to what we like and our adventure level. I am also Gluten Free and she did a great job picking spots I could enjoy the bites. Not only did we learn so much about the food but also Hanoi. She was very warm and easy to talk with. We could have spent more time with her if we could have. We would book another tour with her if we go back and highly recommend her. Ruby was a wonderful guide on our food tour yesterday. We had arrived in Hanoi only minutes before the tour started. We were feeling overwhelmed and uncertain about eating in our new surroundings! Ruby put us at ease and we started to enjoy trying many new things. My husband and I shared portions and we ended up very full. Almost too much food! Ruby was funny and interesting to visit with. Liên was great, very knowledgeable and interesting and clearly proud of her country and the city she lives in. We had a really fun time with her and she had carefully worked out the route and menu to take into account my wife’s vegetarian dietary requirements. We felt bad because we couldn’t manage to eat everything, but we got some packages to take away for later so all good. She spent a significant portion of the tour on her phone and provided little insight into the local food or culture. We booked a three hour food tour w Quynh Anh (Anne) for NYE afternoon. One of us is vegetarian and Anne tailored the tour to this. She was incredibly easy to arrange things with and asked thoughtful questions before we began. The tour itself was the highlight of our trip. Anne is funny, knowledgable, organized and thoughtful. She has gone out of her way to confirm with all the vendors ahead of time (because it was NYE). The food was absolutely incredible and we learned so much about Vietnamese food, life in Hanoi, and Anne herself. Each of the ten(!) restaurants was amazing and the food was absolutely incredible. We loved every minute. Strong recommendation! You will learn a lot about Hanoi and Vietnam, learn a ton about North Vietnamese food, and have a great time meeting a lovely and engaging young woman.
