Great tour with Awais. He is very knowledgeable about the history of Hiroshima and the atomic bomb. He took us to a few excellent food places where we tried local speciality dishes on his recommendations which were delicious! Would definitely recommend.

We really enjoyed our food tour in Hiroshima with Haq. He was very knowledgeable about Hiroshima and its history and was a fun and entertaining guide. The food choices were great and he took us to excellent smaller places off the beaten path that would have been difficult to find on our own. We liked that he was really well-informed on how each selection was important to the food scene in Hiroshima. Haq was fantastic. He got our tour last minute bc our original guide got the flu. He was very friendly and took us to the best food spots. We got to taste all the local favorites. Haq had made reservations for us and we even had spots waiting for us at places that don’t take reservations!! The food was amazing. Haq knows so much about the town and the culture. Awais went above and beyond for us! I’m traveling with my daughter and her bestie, just in our small group we have an allergy to peanuts and a pescatarian. Awais went to all of the planned places the night before to double check for any allergy or dietary restrictions issues. He also spent extra time walking us around the area which really expanded our understanding of the community, reconstruction post WWII, and history of the food. His English is almost perfect!! So much more than expected!!

We had a great tour with Awais - it was enjoyable and it was evident he had amazing knowledge of the historical areas and events. I couldn’t fault the tour and the information as it was exactly what we were after. The only downside I would mention would be related to the price - value rating and some simple communication errors. When we booked the tour it was advertised as a private guide, upon arriving we were told we needed to wait for another couple joining us. They were a lovely couple and there was no issues with them, however I was a little annoyed with the price we paid and the fact it was advertised as private to have another couple on the tour. Furthermore, we had to organise a baby sitter and we had numerous requests from Awais for time changes beforehand which did add a layer of complexity, Secondly, we did the museum beforehand to ensure we could maximise the site visits, however upon arriving Awais suggested he was going to take us into the museum. This should have been communicated before and did affect the efficiency of the tour. All in all I enjoyed it but did find it slightly expensive. Great tour with informative guide

Awais is a very knowledgeable guide, who was able to show us around Hiroshima at a gentle pace and did not rush even though we had a tight schedule. He was able to point out all the sites of interest and presented facts in a pleasant way. His recommendations for lunch wasnspot on, we probably would have never gone to the restaurant without knowing that they served dishes which are a Hiroshima speciality. All in all it was a great day. Nabeel took our family of 8 on a 3 hour walking tour of Hiroshima. He offered to meet us at Hiroshima station and brought us to all of the major historical sites, starting at the Peace Memorial Museum. Our group of four had a great day with Haq whilst visiting Hiroshima by cruise. Haq met us at the cruise terminal and allowed us to coordinate a tour with all the must-do’s of Hiroshima, including a ferry ride to Miyajima, tasting local delicacies, eating a traditional lunch of Okonomiyaki or Hiroshima-yaki as known by the locals! We travelled into town for an informative afternoon at the Hiroshima Peace Park, all at our own pace with expert local knowledge. I can highly recommend Haq, we highly recommend and would use him again if we were visiting Hiroshima.A must if travelling to Hiroshima!

We did a tour with Awais. His knowledge and history of the Peace Park and Museum was outstanding. He carefully navigated us through the museum and the park in a skilful way so we could learn and see lots in the park while making sure we saw what we wanted too. Then later visiting the castle and the gardens was also wonderful. We had a great time with Haq - the Peace Park, the Hiroshima castle and Miya-jima. We had a great meal of okonimiyaki and also learnt a lot from Haq along the way. The tour is much longer than 5 hours due to the fact that Miyajima is a train-ride away and there's a lot to see there, so keep that in mind when you decide what you'd like to prioritize seeing. Haq is very open to being flexible, which is great and the tour worked very well for our group, which was three people, but three generations - and everyone had a great time ! We really enjoyed our tour. Unfortunately, our plans were confused by restraints imposed by our cruise boat so a five or six hour tour had to be rearranged at the last minute. Our guide, Nabeel, was very accommodating and flexible and because the day was fine and sunny, we gave more time to parks and gardens than to castles and museums. Nabeel was informative, interesting and very responsive to our needs and interests. Altogether, a very positive experience. A great Afternoon in Hiroshima

The 5-hour tour to Hiroshima and Miyajima was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. Haq was an incredible tour guide. He gave us an insightful history lesson about the events leading up to the bomb dropping and how Hiroshima rebuilt itself. He made the entire tour very interesting for our three kids (15, 13, 12), which isn't always easy to do! He was flexible with the trip and was able to adjust the times due to our train schedule, which we appreciated. He took us off the beaten path to try local foods and point out interesting places on the tour, which we all enjoyed. We have used WithLocals and other countries, and we have always had a wonderful experience with our guides. 10/10!! Loved every minute of this tour!

Our tour group of seven had a total of nine tours during our cruise. All tours were private guided and hand picked by the group leader. Haq was unanimously voted the best guide . Here is why. Haq was a great guide. He tailored the tour to what we wanted and gave a good balance in overall history of Hiroshima as well as the bomb and consequences. We also were able to visit miyajima island which was a great contrast. He gave us a number of choices during the day and ran to get our train tickets and found snacks for dietary requirements. He also made it nearer to 6 hours rather than 5 to fit everything in. Overall highly recommended. Great knowledgeable guide
