Spring was a tremendous guide able to take us- a meat eater and a pescatarian - to a variety of spots to eat and taste a wide variety of dishes and drinks. Her English is excellent and she has a great sense of humour. We hadn't realised it was a private tour so that was an unexpected bonus. She answered all our questions and we felt that we ate till we were full to bursting and learned a lot about life in Vietnam. Afterwards she sent us the list of places we'd visited so were able to revisit our favourites at our leisure. It was good to venture into District 3 and explore a less touristy area too. We thoroughly recommend this tour for the start of your stay in Vietnam.The perfect food tour!

Elise took us around Ho Chi Minh City tasting amazing local foods including Michelin star dishes with specialty corn and sticky rice. We had the most scrumptious and fresh green papaya salad, and crunchy Banh Mi with pate and fresh vegetables! Elise is knowledgeable and friendly. She made sure to avoid trigger foods that my friend has due to serious food allergies. We thoroughly enjoyed our time together, walking around the city and appreciating Sargon after dark! Our tour with Spring was a great way to get to know Saigon, while tasting some delicious local cuisine and walking around the streets and back alleys of Districts 1 and 3. We had a wonderful time eating lots of delicious snacks whilst learning about some great things from Spring who was warm funny and knowledgeable. We originally booked a lunch food tour but Hieu suggested to meet during dinner time as there were more street foods available. He was very prompt in responding via WhatsApp! We met up during a rainy night but that didn’t stop us from enjoying our excursions. Hieu shared his knowledge about the culinary world in Vietnam based on flavors and specialties from each different regions. My mother is a pescatarian and I don’t eat beef. Hieu made sure that all of the foods were catered to our needs. He was familiar with all of the vendors that we visited. We chatted and got to know each other along the way. Elise was warm and friendly and immediately made an impression on our kids. We were able to ask all the questions we wanted about the food, and Elise really knew her stuff. She made sure we were comfortable at every stop with a spot to sit, and a cold drink for the kids. We tried so many dishes, and they were all so different in taste, a great variety. Her instructions for the meeting point we're clear, and she answered promptly when we needed to clarify directions. The only information I felt we needed was that our final food stop was not where we started and our kids were tired to walk back. However even with that occurrence, Elise helped us order a car and showed us how to use Grab, which was a great tool for the remainder of the trip. A great welcome to Saigon

Elise was fabulous. She was knowledgeable, kind and caring. The day plan was beyond our expectations. We expected a few snacks but we had four meals. All were different and covered a wide range of food and locations. She gave us a running commentary on life and culture in the country.
Seeing more of what life is like for the people is so different than being in a mass tour bus.
We are a bit older and she was careful to look after our needs. If we get back we will use her and also her mother's cooking lessons.Amazing experience

My family had a great time with Elise on our first day in Ho Chi Minh - she took us to lots of amazing local places that seemed really genuine, sharing her knwoeldge about the food, country & culture along the way. We ate a lot of very delicious food at places you'd never find on your own, so doing this tour with Elise was definitely worthwhile.
She was also really accommodating to my youngster daughter, who isn't that adventurous with food, making sure she could still enjoy the local cuisine and provided us with more recommendations for the rest of our holiday too.
I would definitely recommend this tour & Elise to anyone visiting Saigon - a must for food and culture lovers. Great introduction to local food in HCMC

We did the 10 tastings tour with Spring . WOW WOW WOW !! We had the absolute privilege of tasting street food like locals. So much thought was put into the tour. Elise took the initiative to offer us the option of a later food tour (i.e., cooler early evening rather than very hot early afternoon); we really appreciated that! She started in the Ben Thanh Tourist Market, explaining how we could purchase items there with confidence. All through the evening, she provided us with good tourist tips and interesting facts about Vietnam, particularly the culture of Southern Vietnam. The food places Elise took us to were varied, and everything was truly delicious, particularly the last food of the evening. It was a dish from her home town in the Mekong Delta, and it was indeed a wonderful way to end the evening. Elise has an engaging personality and knows the city well. We would not hesitate to recommend taking her food tour any time! Oh, and she takes great photos, too!Great experience!

My husband and I enjoyed our evening with Elise. She took us around to many locations trying some of the local favorites Siagon has to offer. I am gluten intolerant and Elise took care to make sure that that there was a lot of things I could eat and not get sick - really appreciated the care given to this. We loved everything we ate and even made a couple of extra stops to by some skin care products she recommended. We had a great time, learned a lot and left with very full bellies. This was our second tour with Hieu and it matched our first - an excellent tour and one of the best we've ever done.
Hieu opened our eyes (and taste buds) to a world of Vietnamese cuisine we knew nothing about, which allowed us to enjoy the rest of our time in Vietnam much more, as we knew what and where to find the best food.
We visited Michelin-recommend holes in the wall, street sellers, and some of the best Banh Mi ever. And we delved deeper into the local markets, discovering local delicacies.
