Our group of 4 enjoyed a great private tour in the heart of KL’s Chinatown with Siddoz and his trainee (Steve?). Siddoz was firstly very patient and understanding as we were delayed in KL traffic for ~15 mins. He catered to my fussy parents, explained the dishes we were trying and introduced us to foods we wouldn’t have ordinarily tried. He also took us to a couple of really cool spots for photo ops, some of the best photos on our holiday (thanks Steve, our personal photographer too!). We had requested a food tour focused on authentic local cuisine and street food that the locals eat here. I am a foodie and amateur cook myself, having lived and worked on three continents – most recently for three years in China. My interest always lies in the true local cuisines of ordinary people. I had not yet experienced Malaysian cuisine firsthand. Through Siddoz, we learned more about this cuisine in one evening than we could have on our own in a week. Siddoz guided us to some good food which was a useful introduction to Malaysian cuisine. He spent quite a lot of time on his phone so there wasn't a lot of interaction between us but he knew his way around the best food stalls which was really what we were interested in! Her love of her brief was obvious from the start. Easily the most genuine guide we have ever had. From start to finish our tour was like being with a knowledgeable friend. Being taken around by a native KL-er who was as passionate about food as we all are was such a treat. Being taken to local food spots that probably we might not have had the confidence to try and eating/drinking Malaysian food with a lovely friendly local lady was such a treat. Be warned - you will be full if not before the end, at the end. Manjeet has a blog and also loads of tips about other places in Malaysia that she herself has visited many times. A brilliant experience that we won’t forget. Highly recommend Manjeet - such a pleasure. Best food/culture tour ever

Faris knows food and knows how to bring that knowledge to a trip around the culinary secrets of KL He has a vast knowledge of not only the food you are eating but also can tell you how to prepare it and its history and origins He allows you time to browse a few shops and seems to just enjoy being out doing something that he loves. He freely admits that he is not a history buff and although he is happy to talk about KL he really comes alive when he is explaining about the food you are eating. To be fair there is too much food we took some back to the hotel with us for later ( think Christmas dinner stuffed) and you get the idea I can’t praise him enough and would highly recommend him He even gave us a lift back to our hotel and regaled us with tales of his cooking experiences abroad whilst we sat in traffic A great tripBrilliant Food and great company

Thank you TK for taking my family and I on a personalised food tour around Central Market and Petaling Street! TK was extremely responsive from the get-go and really easy to communicate with. On the day, my grandma decided to join and TK was super accommodating. Due to this however, the tour was made challenging as my grandma (being elderly) wanted to wander on her own and didn't really understand the concept of a "tour". Sidoz was knowledgeable and friendly and we enjoyed our time sampling different local foods. There was only one dish we didn't enjoy, but we still were completely full at the end! It was an abrupt end to the session, but that was down to heavy rain that suddenly appeared.Great half day food tour

I met Siddoz (and Cash who was being trained at the time) at the Central Market and was taken on a food tour to remember. I got to sample Malaysian, Chinese and Indian food. Siddoz took us around to places we would not have otherwise found and got to experience some great, authentic food and sights, as well as insights about the history and culture of Malaysia. Highly recommend doing one of these tours, especially if you like trying new foods and finding hidden (inexpensive) gems! Siddoz was also great at giving us some advice the day after, when we were venturing in to Little India - had some of the best Indian we have had there, on his recommendation. We really enjoyed our food tour with Faris. Being a chef he really understands food, how it’s made, what the ingredients are and what is eaten and when in the Malaysian/Chinese/Indian lifestyle. His English is also terrific. He brought special items with him to share with us and quite frankly went above and beyond. We were very well looked after. We tried the food tasting with Ruth on the first day of arriving at KL and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Siddoz was a fabulous guide- he took us to numerous delicious stops, expertly tailoring the experience to be a good fit for two vegetarians. The food was absolutely delicious, the conversations interesting and we learned a lot about the history and culture of the areas we were eating in. Also, the value for price was perfect! We undertook a food tour with Siddoz which exposed us to the very many varied cuisines available in Kuala Lumpar, and he proved to be a very knowledgeable food host. Along with his offsider trainee guide Raja, we learnt a great deal about not just the food, but what goes into it, and the endless variety of what we might consider to be the nasi, mee, and ayam classics, and so on. Trying everything from unusual small cakes, flavoursome tea, various forms of laksa, tasting noodles everywhere from the real back street food scene to the new and upmarket, the night did not lack from a variety of foods and tastes. The tour also had the advantage of being able to be experienced within a short walking distance so the time was well spent. On a final note, bring your appetite. There’s a lot to try and experience!A walking feast

We met TK outside the Central Market and he took us round the food section explaining about different local foods. TK was interesting and engaging, taking us to some interesting places and sampling some great street food including the ‘pigs intestine noodles’, which were great and the Tom Yam noodles, which were very tasty, along with a tea/coffee drink and a very unhealthy but tasty salad! When we are back in KL, we will be booking another tour with TK so that we can taste more street food. TK gave us a great tour
