Eleonora is friendly and knowledgeable. We had a fun time learning about the history of Lecce while nibbling our way through the old town. Eleonora contacted me to ask if we wanted to start the tour early, which was fine with us. We had booked a food tour with her, but she also explained about the history of Lecce, she was clearly very knowledgeable. The food was fantastic and we were all stuffed by the end. We went to lots of different spots to sample local food and she explained about the history of it too. Overall this was a great tour which I would recommend to anyone.Great tour

Francesca was our fantastic tour guide! She agreed to host 12 adults (which was a lot) and did a fabulous job! We learned a lot about the beautiful city of Lecce. Along the way we sampled several local treats. We were so full towards the end that some of us had to decline the final tasting. We are staying on in the Puglia area for a couple of more weeks and will definitely be back to Lecce because of Francesca! Brava Francesca!Amazing tour

Eleanora met us by the Cathedral in Lecce and started by telling us a little about the history of the area including the invasions from the Ottoman Empire to the Greeks, Romans and Normans which helped us understand the history of the local culture and foods.
Then we began a wonderful private and personal tour of the city tasting specialities like Don Antonio olive oil and traditional snacks like taralli.
Our tour lasted 3 hours and ended with a ‘caffe leccesse’ which is an iced coffee with almond milk and traditional pastries Pasticciotto which are filled with an indulgent egg custard.
We cannot recommend Eleanora more highly. She was a fount of information and made sure we had a great time. Excellent tasting tour of Lecce

Eleanora is a bright, bubbly, professional and passionate guide for all things Leccese. The food tour we took with her was as great as we had imagined. We had previously done a Kickstart Lecce tour with her, so we knew that we were in expert hands. We had at least 10 generous tastes of typical Leccese foods. All were delicious! Do not have breakfast before taking this tour! Eleanora explained all the different foods - names, historical origins, recipes and more, interspersed with historical detail about Lecce, and all the different groups that had controlled it from time to time.
One of our group members tripped and fell - breaking her wrist. Eleanora has first aid training and supported our friend while she recovered somewhat. Eleanora provided the address of an X-ray clinic, and subsequently followed up a number of times and also the next day.
The tour continued eventually and ended up with Leccese coffee and pastries. A great day apart from the accident.
We highly recommend Eleanora. Loved ‘Tastes of Lecce’ with Eleanora 👏👏

Francesca was the absolute best guide! Not only did she give me a ton of history about my family’s home town of Gallipoli, she also helped me with a ton of family research (which I booked separately with her outside of the kickstarter tour). She helped me make some connections to other local residents that continue to help me with family research. She is super knowledgeable about Gallipoli and had a great tour planned. We were touring the Castello In Gallipoli when I learned, to my surprise my GGG grandfather was rather well known. It was so exciting to share that with her. She also assisted in arranging a meeting with a gentleman who manages the church records and researched the records with me! When I come back in 2026 we will explore other towns in Puglia! Fantastic experience walking the beautiful city of Lecce with Eleonora. And boy, did we have the best food tastings ever!!! We loved our tour of Lecce, would've been happy with a few more hours to learn more about the beautiful city. A great recommendation to start early so we weren't wiped out by the heat during the day.
