Sylvia hosted my family and me for a food tour in Lisbon. The words that we used to describe her at breakfast the next day were delightful, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, captivating, lovely and many more superlative adjectives. The places she took us to are the types of places we love to go to but would never find them on our own in a million years. The food served was truly amazing with lots of variety. Antonio was a wonderful tour guide for our food tour! He was pleasant and easy to chat with, while providing a nice selection of foods at 4 different locations. Being with him in the restaurants was like being with a friend — he answered our questions, provided information about each dish, and even went out of his way to order an extra small taste of an item that we were curious about. It was nice to be treated like a local at the restaurants because we were with him, especially at one of the restaurants where the staff came over and welcomed us as if we were old friends. We learned a lot about Portuguese food, and we ate lots! Definitely come hungry! You will not be disappointed!Great tour!

Sónia was an amazing tour guide with lots of knowledge and factoids about Lisbon and Portugal. It was wonderful to see Lisbon by foot and experience the food delicacies. We took our two boys (11 yo & 3 yo) on the food tour and although adventures eaters, didn't partake in about half of the foods or in the alcohol tastings. We thoroughly enjoyed Sónia and she was wonderful with the boys, this tour would have been better if their was a discounted rate for kids. I'm glad we did the tour as a family, but the price-value rating is low for having to pay full price for kids.Wonderful Family Portugal Food Experience!

Don't waste your time looking for anyone else. Angelo's tour was perfect. He prefers to think of it as a conversation among friends, strolling through the city, and enjoying authentic local food and drink along the way. We arranged a 3-hour food tour with Elisa in Lisbon at the end of January and it was well worth it! As well as helping us get our barings it was also a lovely opportunity to sample local cuisine. Elisa started the tour by taking us to a place where the locals go where we sampled salted cod croquettes and sardines washed down by a glass of vinho verde. Yum! We then went to try a pork roll - not sure of the Portuguese name but it was delicious. Another fish and chick pea dish and also a stop at a small bar which served Ginjinha. Not forgetting our final stop to sample a pastel de nata. I could've eaten 10 of them! Elisa was really knowledgable and friendly and we had a lot of fun as we walked to each destination. Thanks so much, Elisa. We highly recommend. A fab food tour!

We've been twice now to Lisbon and there is much to see. The first time, we had a great time with a group food tour - a few hidden gems and a few standards. We took a food tour with Silvia in January 2025. She did a fantastic tour of showing us the highlights of Portuegese and Lisbon food. It also included a tour of some of the key neighborhoods. Lisbon is hilly and Silvia knew all the tricks about getting around by elevators throughout the city! The food tastings were spot on and delicious. We loved our evening with Antonio! We met in a great location with a beautiful view and then explored a few neighborhoods while he explained a bit of the history and culture. Our guide Lucia was absolutely lovely and gave us a lot of useful information about Lisbon/history etc. We paid €250 and thought that this was too much for what we had. We booked a tour with Angelo but it was at extremely short notice and with food restrictions which Angelo could not accommodate. At Angelo's request, in stepped Lucia! We were extremely fortunate for Luci to be able to accommodate us. She met us promptly and was very fluent in English. She took us to restaurants that we may never have tried on our own- we tried grilled Sardines and cod fish cutlets- the top staples and then took us walking through Alfama, Chiada and Bario alto (hope I spelled them right) pointing out historical sites and their histories. We tried some juices as we do not do alcohol. We tasted the famous pastels de Belem and then tried some other savory crepes. The tour lasted around 3.5 hours and we were very pleased with Lucia. This tour was enjoyable for its exposure to the local culture, food and punctuated with Lucia's commentary on the current state of Portuguese society and its promises for the future. Would recommend without reservation! Tips: 1. Book early and have more options especially with dietary restrictions. 2. People who drink alcohol and are comfortable with pork/ham products may find this tour more value for money than those who don't. 3. Lucia is awesome!:))Not for Angelo but for Lucia

Had a great day touring Lisbon with Lucia! She showed us many local treats and specialties. Lucia has a very warm and down to earth personality, and she quickly felt like a friend. Lissabon hat bei Nacht einen anderen Charme. Daher hatten wir uns für eine Food-Tour am Abend entschieden. David hat uns in drei verschiedene typische Lissabonner Lokale geführt. Das erste war das älterste Lokal von Lissabon. Alleine wären wir nie in das Lokal gegangen; es wäre ein Verlust gewesen. Die kleinen Apetizer (Kroketten mit Fleischfüllung, Samosa, gefüllte Teigtaschen) waren ein guter Einstieg. Das zweite Lokal lag auf dem Burgberg. Zu den einzelnen Gerichten hatte David immer eine passende Geschichte. Besonders gut waren die frittierten Brechbohnen. Das dritte Lokal lag in der Nähe der Kathedrale und hier wartete ein Highlight auf uns: portugisische Chorizo vor unseren Augen mit Feuer gebraten sowie einer leckeren Käseplatte. Rundum ein gelungener und kurzweiliger Abend, an dem wir auch viel über Lissabon und seine Kultur gelernt haben. David hat uns fantastisch betreut und ist gerade für eine deutschsprachige Tour absolut empfehlenswert. Da er mehrsprachig aufgewachsen ist, gibt es auch keine Verständigungsprobleme.Ein genussvoller Abend in Lissabon

I chose Angelo because the reviews showed he had a knowledge of history. When we travel we want to learn about the history along with having a great tour. Angelo gave us a great walking food tour along with an excellent lesson on the history of Lisbon. We walked into all the old neighborhoods between food stops and absorbed the culture and history in a fun way to learn. I highly recommend Angelo. We did this tour before boarding a cruise leaving Lisbon for the Western Med and his tour was a highlight!I love that I can pick my guide

Elisa is een fijn persoon om mee op pad te zijn en ze kon ons ook het een en ander over de stad vertellen. Helaas was ze door verkeershinder 45 minuten te laat waardoor we lang hebben staan wachten. Ik vond het eten/ de tour absoluut geen 230€ waard, ik zal het daardoor ook niet aanraden. Na 2,5 uur was het klaar en zijn we op eigen houtje koffie gaan drinken en hebben we later op de avond nog maar wat gegeten. Vond het niet 230€ waard
