We had a fantastic food tour with Victor through the historic center of Mexico city! He is extremely knowledgeable about the area, the history, and also about each of the eateries that we visited. It was very informative and our teen and tweenaged kids loved the tour as well. Victor was excellent with the kids, ensuring that they were also having a great time. When I asked my youngest son (11 years) about his most favorite part of our whole trip to Mexico City, he said that his highlight was the food tour with Victor. I think that we all agreed with him. Daniel was the perfect host and guide! He took us to some great spots in Centro Historico spanning from a traditional pastry shop to street food to the local market. Our family of four (kids 17 and 9) spent a wonderful afternoon with Daniel. The food tour was a perfect introduction to the city, as we did this on our first day. Not only did we get comfortable with the layout of the historic section of Mexico City, we also got to eat A LOT of food that we otherwise would not have had the chance to. Daniel was great with the kids and gave them plenty of food options at each stop, while still encouraging them to try everything - which they did! Having found new dishes that they enjoyed, it made the rest of our trip much easier as they were more adventurous in their food choices. Daniel was also full of information and great at taking the time to answer all questions. He made fast friends with both kids as our first stop was a huge bakery. He is a wonderful guide and is highly recommended!Daniel is terrific!

The 10 tasting food tour with Luz was great. Communication was good prior to the tour, we met in a very busy area of the city. She did a great job integrating the history of the city while walking to our food stops. She also accommodated our group food preferences—2 of us eat meat, 2 are vegetarians. Good integration of sweet and savory options. We were definitely full by the end of the tour! I also appreciated her sending me suggestions for restaurants to try near where we were staying. We had the most amazing afternoon with Daniel - sampling food we would have ordinarily never have known to order and learning so much about the rich culture and history. Daniel was super knowledgeable , well travelled and friendly and I cannot recommend him enough! He adapted the meals to suit our dietary requirements, everything we ate was yummm, we were pleasantly full by the end, and Daniel was very considerate to ensuring my mother was comfortable throughout (taking little breaks whenever needed). Luis was a wonderful guide to several off the beaten path food experiences. She is the reason to book a tour like this. Luz was born in Mexico City and is the ultimate guide to eating here. She brought us to places no tourist could ever find. She was also patient with our group! We had a range of ages, from six to 60… She let us take breaks, etc. My daughter (6) tried almost each selection, loving most items. We had warm churros, tacos al pastor, hibiscus juice. We had an awesome time with Daniel! He gave a wonderful tour of CDMX and catered the experience to our preferences. Specifically, we had such a great time trying out all the moles, spices, and salsas @ Mercado de San Juan. Daniel brought us to a few of his favorite food spots where we had some delicious tacos. Highlights were a street taco spot where we tasted a corn and mushroom taco and a zucchini blossom taco. This is a place I would never get to on my own. Also, visited a huge food hall which I loved seeing. We ended with the mother of all bakeries: Ideal — never seen anything like it. Daniel was very knowledgeable and the pace was good so that we could make room for more! Great mexican food tastings- Im so full!

Daniel brought us to five places. We enjoyed the food, but he didn't provide too much information about the history of all the dishes or why they became the most common foods in Mexico. It was quite an expensive tour, so not the best value for money as we could have gone to get all the dishes ourselves for much cheaper.

I reserved the 10 tastes of Mexico City Tour on our first day visiting Mexico City. It was myself, my husband, and our two small kids. Let me preface by saying that I think my two small kids (ages 4 and 6) may have been a challenge for Luz to interact with. She was not particularly friendly or interested in them, and as a result, did not interact very much with myself or my husband. I asked her many questions along the way, but she only gave me short answers and did not engage in conversation with me. I am not sure if she is unaccustomed to interacting with children. It is possible that she is more talkative and charismatic during tours without children. As a result, the tour was lackluster, and seemed to drag on. There was a lot of walking between each food location (which I think was to fill up the three hours), and felt unnecessary because when I asked Luz why she chose the food locations, she just shrugged and did not have any real answer, so I felt that she could have chosen almost any random places with less walking. I also tried to ask about history and information about the locations we walked through and the food and Luz provided very little and vague information. I did not think the food or company was worth the price paid for the tour. As a result, I will not be reserving future tours and I do not recommend this particular tour. Didn't work for us

I knew I wanted to take a food tour on my first trip to Mexico City, and I was thrilled with my choice to go with Luz! A true foodie at heart, Luz helped us wend our way through the streets and local markets to find some of the city’s secret culinary delights disguised as street food. Every stop was a taste treat and adventure for the palate which we never would have discovered on our own. Luz was such a thoughtful tour guide. She was very adapting to our needs, answered all our questions, and gave us details about the processes and recipes of the food we were trying. She made us feel like we were invited, not into a strange city, but into her home. The tour is well worth the price. You will absolutely have more than enough to eat. In fact, we ate so much and enjoyed it so thoroughly that we skipped dinner that night! A visit to a Mezcal bar later that evening topped off a perfect day. And Luz was the one who recommended it to us! She was a wealth of information for further culinary exploration during our visit to CDMX.We Love Luz!

Luz is a very sympathical person but this tour is much too expensive for the food we had. It is not a gastronomic tour. It is a street food mainly composed with tacos for 100 US$ /person. Moreover, we were ill during the night and the following in day. Do not recommence this tour ! Sorry Luz 😒Very expensive tour for street food !

Luz was AMAZING!! She was personable, professional and a wealth of knowledge. She felt comfortable giving the tour in English or Spanish. I had never tried lengua tacos and my brother really enjoys them so Luz made sure to adjust our tour to be able to accommodate our request. I felt like I had journeyed through Mexico City's timeline. He even took the time to show us other cool things in the area like library with the great murals and through pyramids in the center that are visible without a ticket. Mexico City is just breath-taking! If you make the absolute best decision to come here then you HAVE to get a tour by Daniel.... I did 2 in a day and highly recommened you to do the same!! I was full on culture, history, food (amazing-ness), knowledge, laughter and just a complete sense of awe that is Mexico city. I had once-in-a lifetime experiences all in a few hours.
