Fabiana gave us an excellent food tour in the city of Naples! She was very knowledgeable and related well to our family. The food we tried covered a wide variety from a fish, market and fresh fruit and vegetable market to cheese, two pizza and pasta and more! We explored out of the way places we never would have found on our own. It would have been nice to have perhaps a bit more history behind some of the food, but overall, it was a great experience!Wonderful experience!

My husband and I book a food tour whenever we visit a new city. Our tour in Naples with Frederica, was a small group with just the three of us which was wonderful. Frederica took into consideration that my husband is a vegetarian and provided options for him. We were taken off the beaten path to areas where locals shop and eat. We tasted food that were specific to the area and while walking between food destinations learned some history of Naples. We have had the best tour around the backstreets and bars and eateries of old town Naples and I can seriously say I could not eat another thing after the tour! We had so much great food and our guide was fantastic in telling us all the history about Naples and the food and also answering any questions we had. Agi and I have been cruising the Mediterranean for the last 8 days and our day with Gennaro was our most memorable, enjoyable and informative yet. Gennaro was so kind to reach out in the days before our arrival and he was instrumental in providing directions to the meeting place to two bumbling tourists. The actual tasting was beyond our expectations as it was just us and him. He spent a good amount of time at each stop and educated us as well as entertained. We learned that Napoli has become a top destination since COVID. We learned that each region and every 20 miles there is a different traditional cuisine. He taught us the correct way to eat pizza…I definitely need to practice. I had real espresso “chocolate” for the first time and had “Mozzarella di Bufala Campania DOP”. The best we’ve ever had and apparently will never have again as it only exists on the day it was made. Many thanks to Gennaro for our best memories this trip. Paola was the best! We were afraid it was going to rain and were unsure about how to reach the meeting place. We texted Paola and she came to us! This caused our tour to go long, but Paola stayed with us, never complaining, and completed the entire tour. She was so sweet and engaging and full of information. We found Naples and its history to be fascinating. We went all over town, starting with the Spanish Quarter. It was amazing to think that families live in these tiny houses that used to quarter troops. It was also nice to know that all the rumors about how dangerous this area is are no longer true. Things have changed in the last 10 years or so, but the rumors persist. Vomero is at a higher elevation and is a more affluent part of town. It is lovely and the view is fantastic. It was fun taking the stairs back down. Then, there is the food. All the food was street food and delicious. We had to start turning down food because we got so full and wanted to save room for a pastry and gelato and coffee. We enjoyed this tour immensely. So will you!Wonderful food and history tour

We took the Naples food tour in our first hours in Italy. We came from the airport for the tour then back to the airport after to complete our journey to Sicily. We met Federika exactly where we were told. It was a lovely 3+ hours. Really good food, great company and even great weather. It is a lot of walking and stairs which didn't bother us but I want to point out. It was such a nice introduction to Naples, Neopolitan food, and the city of Naples. I spent too much time poring over bios when picking out guide. We booked a month out and 9 days before our arrival he canceled on us so we were left with few options on a substitute. Armando is a lovely man who speaks extremely intelligently about Naples and its complex history. He is kind and engaging and happy to discuss any and all topics of interest. The food ranged from coffee and sweets, to pizza, wine, mozzarella cheese and of course gelato!! He even went out of his way the day of our tour to get some very special mozzarella cheese ahead of time from a store that he knew was going to be closed and he didn’t want us to miss out on the experience. We had the best time with Gennaro experiencing his hometown and all of its amazing food. Gennaro’s love for Naples was contagious as we fell in love, too. The people are warm and welcoming, the history is rich and the food is amazing. Although the entire tour was amazing, a few things stand out: the views from Vomero Hill and descending the steps below, the seafood at the market and, of course, the PIZZA!! Gennaro was not exaggerating when he said pizza anywhere outside of Napoli is not authentic pizza! The experience of watching the pizza being made was fun and unique and the pizza itself was delicious. Do yourself a favor, book this tour! Naples is not teeming with tourists like other major Italian cities. As an American, it was nice to hear more Italian than English being spoken by those we passed. Roberto was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Roberto was a wealth of information, we learned so much about Napoli and the history of the city. After showing us the town he took us on the food tour. We tried so many different foods from pizza, pasta, street foods, espresso and limoncello. We learned a lot about the city and the food! An Unforgettable Culinary Journey Through Spacca Napoli, Naples I recently had the pleasure of embarking on a food tour through the vibrant and historic Spacca Napoli in Naples, Italy, and I can confidently say it was an experience I'll never forget. From the moment we began, it was clear that this wasn't just about tasting food; it was about immersing ourselves in the rich culinary traditions and culture of Naples. Our guide Genarro was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating stories about the history of the city, its iconic dishes, and the passionate artisans who have been perfecting their craft for generations. He was a joy to be around and you can tell he really loves his city and wanted us to feel what Naples was all about. Pizza like No Other One of our first stops set the bar high: a pizzeria that has been around for decades, serving up what can only be described as the most authentic Neapolitan pizza you could ever hope to taste. We were able to go into the kitchen and watch how the pizza is made. Enzo made it look easy!! In just 90 seconds we had our first authentic margarita pizza! The dough was perfectly chewy, with just the right amount of char from the wood-fired oven, and the toppings—simple yet bursting with flavor—were a testament to the idea that less is more when it comes to great pizza. Savoring Street Food Delights We also ventured into the world of Neapolitan street food, sampling delights like *cuoppo* (a paper cone filled with fried seafood), ragù with homemade pasta and I tried my first bite of REAL mozzarella. Soooooo delicious! We tried a fresh fig from one of the locals selling fresh produce. I’ve never known what a fig tasted like until now! Each bite was a delightful explosion of flavors, showcasing the city's knack for turning humble ingredients into something extraordinary. Sweet Treats to Remember No food tour in Naples would be complete without indulging in its famous sweets. We stopped at a historic *pasticceria*, where we enjoyed *sfogliatella*, a flaky pastry with a rich ricotta filling, and *babà*, a rum-soaked cake that was light, moist, and wonderfully decadent. It was paired with some limoncello and an aperol spritz which were both delicious. It was the perfect way to wrap up the tour. One of the highlights of the tour was simply walking through the bustling streets of Spacca Napoli. The energy, the sights, and the sounds all contributed to an atmosphere that felt authentically Neapolitan. This food tour through Spacca Napoli was more than just a culinary experience; it was a deep dive into the heart and soul of Naples. The passion and pride that the local chefs and artisans have for their food were evident in every dish we tried. Whether you're a seasoned foodie or just someone who loves a good meal, this tour is a must-do when in Naples.
