Dario nailed it with a wonderful tasting experience. Leading us through food markets, to an outdoor BBQ and unique cafe's. I don’t really know how to describe the spectacular tour we had with Dario. Firstly, he is friendly, enthusiastic, engaging and incredible knowledgeable about all things Palermo, especially the food. We were so pleased he was able to tailor the tour to ensure the vegetarian in our group had lots to eat, and to keep the walking to a relative minimum to accommodate some mobility issues. From the moment we met up, he kept us eating the most delicious and fascinating bites! We really got a great sample of the Palermo street food scene, including some delicacies we would never have ordered on our own, but really enjoyed. I would not hesitate for one moment to book a tour with Dario!An incredible foodie experience!

Luca was great. I scheduled a street food tour months ago and the guide cancelled on us just days before. Luckily I was able to reschedule and Luca was our guide. The tour could not have been better. Our fist still was a coffee sho and the owner stayed open just for us. We were served espresso and it was delicious. Next w e went through the food market and had fresh squeezed orange juice. We walked the old town and ended up in a second food market where we dined on true Sicilian street food. It was delicious. Finishing up the tour with a stop for gelato….. Luca was the best and I highly recommend booking his tour. Excellent Street Food tour

Eine grandiose Tour und ein toller Tourguide. Darius hat uns die Küche seiner Heimatstadt lebendig beschrieben und uns mega-leckere Spezialitäten "serviert". Wir haben jeden Bissen genossen und waren am Ende satt für den ganzen Tag. Nebenbei haben wir bei dem Bummel über den Markt und die Altstadt interessante Informationen und Details über die Kultur, vor allem Esskultur auf Sizilien erhalten. Lieber Darius, die wir hatten viel Spaß und werden in den kommenden Tagen noch mal an einige der Orte zurückkehren. Dario was a great host, warm and friendly. He was very knowledgeable and took us to the places we would not have found on our own. The tour was at a great pace, nice and relaxed but we saw (and ate) a lot. The food was all local and very diverse; it was great to try so many things we would not normally have eaten. My friends and I are so glad that we picked Luca as our guide. Not only he is knowledgeable about food and the way around Palermo but he is also a very wonderful person, so easy to talk to that my friends and I were so comfortable the moment we met. And his punctuality to the appointment time we arranged was so impressive. We tasted a variety of food starting off with the Sicilian coffee, then fresh squeezed orange juice and tried that very fragrant small round so sweet strawberries. And had a delicious late lunch at Alcolisti per Passione Vucciria where we had caponata, chickpea fritters, calamari and crispy small fish. A meal is never complete without a sweet end to it. And we sure devoured ourselves to La Kala Pistacehio e Mahdorla ice cream and cannoli. That Friday afternoon of May 16, 2025, my friends and I had a full belly and a great time spent with Luca. I highly recommend Luca to friends and everyone. Thank you Luca for making our day.Amazing Food Experience!

4 of us did the 10 Tastings of Palermo tour with Gaetano. It was our 1st visit to the city and wanted to try authentic tastings while getting an intro to the layout of the old town and hear some stories. The street market was amazing - we would never have tried out so many things if alone. Also Gaetano gave wider recommendations about places to visit. We enjoyed Gaetano’s friendly and knowledgable company. I highly recommend the tour - but don’t have much breakfast beforehand! Great Intro to Palermo

We spent a very enjoyable afternoon with Luca walking around Palermo and eating delicious local food. From the time of the booking, Luca was in touch with me to organise a convenient meeting point to fit around our plans. He took us to many interesting places in Palermo, some of which we would not have discovered on our own. He told us a lot about the history of Palermo and the changes over recent years which were really interesting. As an architect, he was also able to point out various facts about the buildings we were looking at. We had a lovely selection of local food in one of the markets that we visited but my favourite part of the tour was the cannoli from the nunnery which we ate in the most peaceful garden attached to the nunnery. Gaetano is very knowledgeable about Palermo and its culture. My problem with the tour was the tastings. While the arance and cannoli were plentiful, the other tasting were less extensive than I’ve experienced in other food tours. For example, Gaetano took us to get a taste of almond milk. For a group of 4 we were given ONE glass of almond milk and ONE straw. Disappointed

We had a nice time on our food walking tour with Dario. The variety of foods was plentiful, and we got to see a lot of the city. Would’ve liked a little more time at the market to shop, as we didn’t see anywhere else to shop after that. Luckily I was able to quickly grab some spices and sun-dried tomatoes! We found souvenirs and food related items were incredibly inexpensive in Palermo versus other stops on our cruise. Dario was very friendly and showed us lots of yummy new things! The Tastings of Palermo tour with Karolina was a highlight of our Mediterranean cruise. To say that Michelangelo was an excellent would be such an understatement it would be insulting. Booking this tour with him was by far the best decision I could have made for my single day in Palermo (and I deeply regret only giving myself one day here). I had the joy of booking Michelangelo all to myself and it truly felt like I’d hired a friend for the day to show me around rather than a stranger. He read my adventurous vibe right out of the gate, always discussed the ingredients and my thoughts about trying something new, gave me the opportunity to have small portions so I could try as many things as possible before feeling so full I was going to burst, and was conscious of my desire not to waste food where possible. He gave great recommendations but also let me pursue food interests outside those recommendations and he pushed me to try new things in a friendly, no-pressure way. He took more circuitous routes when I expressed an interest in history and architecture, and never rushed me to eat faster or made me feel awkward about eating while someone watched you lol. We spent an amazing afternoon having out, eating great food, talking about travel, recommendations, culture, language, and whatever else came to mind. I had time after the tour to explore more of the city and by that point I felt like I had so much more context for the people and sights, and was so comfortable, that I was dancing around the city (sometimes literally - no regrets!) jamming out on my AirPods and taking photos for several hours while I walked off all the food. I could not recommend spending an afternoon with Michelangelo highly enough! Come with an open mind for new food and an about stomach and you will have a brilliant and unique experience in this gorgeous city. Thank you so much Michelangelo for spending such an amazing day with me! I loved every moment of it! (Even that really weird kinda-gross soda that you like. Upon further reflection, I stand by my assessment that it’s not awful, it is drinkable, but man is it a weird-bitter-sweet flavor!) Until we meet again, ciao!The Best Decision I Could Have Made

I had the best food tasting tour that I've ever been on with Gaetano. He took me on a tasting adventure thru the market and then into the town. Gaetano carefully explained the cultural aspects of the food and how they were to be eaten. By the end of the tour I was too full to eat the "cannolo" and brought it back to the cruise ship.
