It would be difficult not to connect with Giedre. You'll delight in her joy of Paris' many hidden spots. More than once on the tour, we ducked from the busy main road into a magical courtyard the hurried passers-by missed entirely. Some of them, seeing her, did the same. They always had an expression of wonder that said, "I never knew this was here!" All our cares were gone, as we knew we were in good hands. My husband and I did a 10 tasting walking tour of Montmartre with Alpha. I had done a group tour years ago and wanted to try a private tour, this time with my husband. We were not disappointed! Jerome is very friendly and a very interesting person. He has great skills which add to the amazing tour he gave us. We tried food we would have tried that is local and visited a restaurant which is not touristy but has amazing atmosphere. Most of all he told us history facts that we did not know and had us laughing by the end when we sat for drinks at a beautiful spot with all his travel stories. I feel awful giving a negative review, but I wish I had come across more critical reviews of this tour. All three people in my party were really disappointed with this tour. To give credit, Anukool was flexible and allowed for us to move along to the next spot if we weren't interested or extend if we wanted to stay longer in an area. He was *very* flexible. The stops on this tour were mediocre at best. We arrived hungry and the tour began with an overly sweet dessert from a popular chain, then we went to a quiche our guide bought at a window and we ate outside in the rain, and next was oysters. It didn't feel well thought-out regarding order of food and the quality was subpar. Furthermore, we expected to meet a local with a bubbly personality who may customize based on who we were and what we were interested in. Our guide was an expat who talked about the history and asked few questions. He was really knowledgeable, but for us, the tour fell flat. We really liked the area. Ultimately, we wanted to be captivated by our tour guide, have a generous amount of curiosity sparked on our end, and leave feeling like we ate foods we wouldn't have found on our own. Honestly, we expected a more for the money

Four of us - all in our 70’s and one with a bad knee - thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon walk through Montmartre with Olivia. Ostensibly a food tour, it was so much more than that. While we walked, and between and during our tastings, Olivia introduced us to the history and art and culture of the neighborhood. Since she lives there herself, she also had personal information and anecdotes to share that brought life in Montmartre today alive for us; and we were grateful for the suggestions she offered for further explorations of the area. Because Olivia slowed down the pace of her tour for us, and because we told her we were as interested in history as in food, we didn’t stop - by our request, not hers - at all of the ordinary food tastings she offers on this tour. However, what we did taste was all wonderful and plentiful (bread, pastries, cheeses, oysters, wine, and the best quiche we’ve ever had); we were so full that we carried home with us what we just couldn’t eat. Olivia is so easy to spend time with - within moments of meeting her, it feels like she’s someone you’ve known for years. She is articulate, knowledgeable, professional, patient, accomodating, and so engaging that the time with her seems to fly by. We could have spent another couple of hours with her. Anukool gets high marks for both communication and local knowledge. I accidentally booked my tour for the wrong day and Anukool couldn’t have been more gracious or understanding. When we finally did get to do the tour, he was friendly, generous, and extremely knowledgeable about the area (Montmartre), its history, and the local food scene. My wife and I were a bit worried at first that we’d leave hungry but that was decidedly not the case. All in all, I would definitely recommend this tour with Anukool. A great introduction to Paris
