We were a group of 12 women (friends, relatives) who did the Pisa walking taste tour with Sara. Sara was a good communicator at the time of booking (where I could park & the meeting spot). She was on time to the meeting place and very friendly. She does a great job of explaining the local sites and taking you to some amazing places for tasting. We were all stuffed by the time our tour was over. We all loved Sara as our guide! 💕 I had previously visited Pisa in 2005 on a cruise ship stop on a Pisa tour booked through the ship. I did not want to return to Pisa because I was not impressed with my last visit, but the other 11 had not been to Pisa so we booked a tour with Sara. We were fortunate to have a very engaging and knowledgeable guide , Sara. She showed us parts of Lucca, we would never have discovered on our own. Lucca is a fabulous city! Sadly we had fairly heavy rain for our evening tour, however Sara was amazing! She was able to guide us to sheltered spots so that she could share her intriguing stories with us. Her knowledge of the history and culture of the areas was so enjoyable! We spent 3 hours on a food tour with Sara. Even before the tour she was extremely flexible with our timing and the need to change days. She also met us at our apartment instead of the more distant meeting place. Sara has a great sense of humor and, along with some Lucca history, she taught us about little tidbits of local lore. We tasted some Lucca specialties along with gelato and chocolates. She also brought us to an artisan shop where the proprietor was actually working at her old fashioned loom making some of her beautiful wares. We really appreciated the touch of local color. We finished the tour with a light lunch of Tordelli Lucchese and delicious Frontanoio soup. A tour with Sara would be especially good for history buffs!Delightful guide

We spent a couple hours with Sara yesterday getting an overview of Pisa, spending more time focused on the areas outside the Field of Miracles. While that tourist Mecca is gorgeous and interesting, we also enjoyed learning about everyday life of locals in Pisa. We all enjoyed our afternoon with Sara! She was engaging, witty, clearly intelligent and well-informed, and willing to adjust in the moment to our specific interests. Her professionalism shone through - in how she communicated with us, in the pacing of the tour, and in her balanced presentation of the history and culture of Lucca. Despite our jet-lagged brains, intermittent rain, and the press of other visitors, we concluded the tour with a deeper understanding of Lucca during the Roman, Medieval, and Renaissance eras. She did an excellent job to show us the ancient parts of lucca, shared a lot of fascinating facts and little-known details about Lucca and it's friendship with the neighbouring town of Pisa ;-) Our big group - though no everybody spoke fluently english - was impressed and delighted. If only we had booked a tour with Sara on our first day in Lucca! We then would have booked her for every day of our two week trip in Italy. Sure, her family would miss her but we’d be happy as clams laughing everyday as she shared funny stories and customs of her fellow Italians. We have been to Italy a dozen times and grown up in Italian American families but still Sara could tell us stories never heard before - so many tiny but spicy details that make any travel experience richer. We spent a lovely three hours with Sara being shown points of interest and delicious morsels in Lucca. Sara explained in immaculate English the historical significance of places, buildings and ornamentation on them, as well as taking us to some delightful shops, cafes and restaurants. My husband and I had never been to Lucca, but had heard wonderful things about it from friends. We went on a private tour with Sara, and spent an enchanting few hours with her exploring the city.
