Muhanif (Andi) is a wonderful guide with the best energy. He is very excited to meet new people and show the city around while getting delicious bites. The walk was longer than we expected (as a good thing!) so we had even more time to talk while discovering more corners of this interesting city. All the meals were super tasty and not too spicy, but you could add extra spicy if needed. As tourist we were concerned of stomach problems, but we had no problems at all thanks to Andi's great selection of places :)
Andi was so nice than we even had a detour to an art gallery so we could buy a painting as a memory of this wonderful day! Terima kasih!! We will remember you with lots of love <3

Yula oversized charm does not mirror her small stature.
We had a really great time with Yula. After a small history session about the city we drove straight into the food scene at Malioboro.
She knows her yummy food and she is a delight to converse with. I lost count for the amount of food she took us. Luckily as our belly got fuller she didn't press on to eat too much and simply ask if we want it or save it for another time. The vibe is relax and it's like having dinner with a close friend.Tiny guide for a big appetite.

Yula was professional, organised, and knowledgeable, showing my family and I around the cool and interesting parts of Jogja that we as tourists wouldn't think to visit. Her knowledge of town added depth and substance to our tours.
More than that, Yula perfectly showcased Jogja's reputation for kindness, being genuinely interested in our wellbeing during the tours and our lives in general. Hanging out with her felt like a genuine cultural exchange. She even asked me to speak during an English class she taught.

Andi gave us a comprehensive food tour throughout the centre of Yogyakarta. Not only did we get to try variety of foods, Andi also told us about it's origins, when and how it is eaten, what it can be combined with, and gave extensive answers to all of our questions (we had no issues communicating with Andi in english). Although we got to try variety of food, we did not overeat - the amount of food was just right for two people. There was more walking between stops than we expected, but this just meant we got to explore more of the city and have breaks between food tastings! We absolutely loved our time with Yulaikha. She not only introduced us to many new street foods that we hadn't tried before, she knew exactly who to go to for the best example based on her life experiences in Yogya.
She gave us a wonderfully deep dive into the history and culture of the region, and how it impacted the food. She encouraged us to go out of our comfort zone and even took us on a little excursion to take the lit up cars around the lake.
She was extremely caring, shared fruit from her mother's tree, told amazing stories and was a true gem.

We booked Yula on our first evening in Yogya and it was great! She was very accommodating of our schedule & our vegetarian diet, and took us through different parts of the city, having us taste different foods & drinks along the way.
