Claudia did a fantastic job of modifying our tour to reflect the freezing cold temperatures and slightly distracted teenagers. She was knowledgeable and considerate, with excellent English, sharing stories and facts for 3 hours. Our tour guide, Miho, took into account our wishes and led a wonderful tour of Berlin. We not only joined the flow of city life, but at the same time got to know the city from the other side - we drove not only on quiet tourist streets, but experienced mini city traffic jams. Riding a bike in Berlin is the perfect way to get an overall feel of the city and because you are on bike, you can move around in the city fast. Boyd was the perfect guide. As he said, he loved to talk, and we were there to listen. We had a great 3 hour bike ride where he painted us a picture of how berlin came to be, how everyday life was spanning over the last 150year. Obviously 2nd world war and the Berlin Wall was a part of the picture, but it was not the focus of this tour (by our own request). We can 100% recommend Boyd as a guide and a bike ride as a tour. Regarding price, we where two people so obviously the price per person is higher. But i would do it all over again. Worth every penny!!See the hidden side of berlin

We had a fabulous biking tour with Boyd. Being on bikes was great. We were able to cover a lot of ground and see so much of the city that we would not have been able to on a walking tour. Boyd gave a very unique perspective of Berlin that didn’t solely focus on the more popular historical sites and monuments. Instead he gave a holistic view of Berlin that included a perspective into the day to day lives of Berlin citizens sprinkling in historic context that informs modern society today. I loved touring the cute neighborhoods by bike and seeing areas and a side of Berlin I probably otherwise wouldn’t have. His knowledge about the history of the city is remarkable, the 3 hour bike ride went really fast (timewise) and we felt safe in the traffic of the city. We are two Canadians who knew a little bit about the history of Berlin, but thanks to Boyd’s wonderful storytelling we know so much more now! We spent a few hours with him (carefully navigatating Berlin’s streets on bikes, he was a very clear and patient riding guide). At almost every stop, whether it be one where we purposefully pulled over or one where we just happened to be at a stop light, Boyd would tell us in great detail about the buildings and landmarks surrounding us. He also answered our questions precisely and kindly. If history is your thing - and you want to go off the beaten track a bit and learn some cool, unique Berlin history - book with Boyd. We are a family of four from California, and this was our first visit to Berlin. On our first full day, we took the 3-hour Beauty of Berlin tour with Miha. He was excellent in communicating a wealth of facts and knowledge about various sites in Berlin, as well as being friendly and courteous. The pace on this warm June day was leisurely, and most of the time we took paths that steered clear of road traffic. Doing the tour at the beginning of our stay in Berlin meant that we could bookmark sites we would like to check out later. Claudia is great to have as a guided tour. She explained a lot about the history of Berlin and Germany, with many interesting details(political, war, post war, German humour) which give you insight of both the old and new Germany and Berlin. But it's also just fun to ride a bike through Berlin with Claudia. She was very flexible in setting up a bike route based on our interests. Would highly recommend going on a bike tour with Claudia. Boyd! You absolute diamond! I can’t tell you what a wonderful weekend we had in Berlin .. t was all fantastic! And the best bit has to be the time we spent with the extremely charming , knowledgeable ( and also very Dapper) Boyd ! There were four of us in the cycle tour ( two who thought they knew Berlin well) and we were all blown away with how much we found out about this beautifully confusing city! All the amazing changes and contradictions of it complex history were explained with such clarity . Claudia took the effort to personalise an itinerary around sights in Berlin that we have yet to previously see; she was also extremely patient in guiding us on riding the bikes around Berlin. Claudia is also very multilingual and it was easy to talk to her. The trip was well-paced with good stretches of rides to take in the sights of Berlin and suitably-times stops at monuments/structures to rest (including a tea-break at a local bakery and a stop at an exhibition) and learn about their historic significance - Claudia also gave personal anecdotes about the pre-unification period, which made it ever more unique and relatable. Some times it can be hard to hear when the bikes are far apart so if there could be a device to help us hear when further apart, it would be helpful, but otherwise still wonderful!A highly-recommended trip to consider!

We had a wonderful 4 hours with Claudia as we cycled through Berlin. Her knowledge of the city was excellent, particularly insightful as her lens was that of a young person growing up on the East side of the walled city. Not only did we see the main sights, Claudia also took us to fascinating places we would never have seen had we followed the standard tourist route, giving us a real insight into the City though the ages. The snack stop was definitely improved by the unexpected production of some excellent mulled wine!
