We messaged Paul a couple of times in the days before the booking and had no response so we went to the arranged meeting place. We were there 5 minutes beforehand and waited for 15 minutes. He did not arrive. We were very disappointed and are now waiting for a refund from with locals. No show
I would like to thank Anna for such a marvelous tour of the Old Town in Tallinn! She was very prompt at responding to all texts that were sent back and forth. She showed me and talked a lot about the history of Estonia and many of the sights of the Old Town. A great experience !!! Thanks Anna !A lovely tour !
Anna was very knowledgeable in Talinn and its history. She was able to answer any question we had and flexible in the tour focus. Great choices on the places she took us for the βfood tourβ too - we would not have found the places without her local insight. Great experience !
Anna was amazing and patient with us. Her tour was very informative and she knows the history of Tullin. We would have been lost without her. Highly recommend.:10
We all loved our time with Anna. She was fun knowledgeable and patient. We walked the city and ate great food while learning about Estonian history and culture. For us thereβs no better way to explore a new place then by combining culinary culture with history. Highly recommended!Best way to explore Tallin
Anna is knowledgable and speaks English very well. She showed us around the highlights of Tallinn old town and took us trough the history of Estonia. She could anwser all our questions and made our trip even better by teaching us about the city and the country.
Thank you Anna!
Kind regards,
Yvette & ErikInformative tour trough Old Town
Anna spoke English adequately, however, most of the information she provided could have been found in any guide book. She was 15 minutes late, but kept up a running commentary on the traffic situation while we waited, but also she finished the 3-hour-tour half an hour early, because βwe had covered all the listed topicsβ. All in all a rather a little disappointing. Average at best
We had a fantastic afternoon with the lovely Anna and felt that we were able to try a great selection of Estonian food and drink. Would highly recommend taking this tour!Wonderful Food Tour with Anna
very experienced, best informed guide with deep knowledge about all topics we discussed. Thanks Anna for the great tour!best tour ever
Anna gave us a nice and compact overview about the history of Tallinn, combined with a lot of nice anecdotes and trivia. Do you know why the hotel from Soviet times near the city center is called the βmicrophone buildingβ?Great overview
I reached out to Paul several hours before our arrival in Tallinn thru the WithLocals chat. He did not respond to me. We arrived at the appointed time and place and waited an extra 15 minutes for Paul who was a no show. Fortunately we were able to participate in a free walking tour of the old town so all was not lost. Bottom line - do not chose Paul as your guide for any upcoming tours. No show Paul
Anna was an outstanding guide on our 5-hour full coverage tour of Tallinn. She demonstrated deep knowledge of the city's history and culture, delivered with enthusiasm and passion. The tour covered all major landmarks, including the Old Town, Toompea Hill, and Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. Anna also included intriguing lesser-known spots, adding a unique touch. Her ability to engage with the group and address individual interests made the tour especially enjoyable and informative. Highly recommended! We had a very nice tour in Tallinn!
We had a three hour tour with Anna in Tallinn. Weβve done several WithLocals tours and this was the best! The information about Tallinn and Estonia was exceptionally interesting and the food was delicious. An amazing time!Informative, delicious and fun tour!
I like to use with locals as when you select a tour you have a chance to select your guide based on their profile and reviews. I like to pick locals and specifically picked Paul for that reason. He confirmed our booking Jan 5 for a tour May 31.
When I reached out May 30 to say we were looking forward to meeting him the next day he informed me that he was busy and had passed us to another guide.
We met with Peter who is an American who now lives in Estonia and while he was good he is not a guide I would pick as not a true local.
We actually ran into Paul and Peter tried to introduce us but Paul basically brushed us off as he was busy with a food tour for at least 10 people. A much more lucrative tour Iβm sure. Not impressed. So if you pick local Paul you may or may not end up with him depending on whether a more lucrative offer comes up.Talinn with an expat
Well Paul the guide never messaged us prior to arrival, then no showed us. His phone was off and later we finally got a message saying βSorry I was illβ. Thats it. Only apologizes after I complain to WithLocals.
Even if sick a notice would have been nice. Considering we only had one day and I paid two months ago, and he was to pick us up from the boat, a little notice would have been nice. I still have not gotten a refund, and I paid over $380. Not sure how this guide has 5 stars. Ive never been no showed before. Terrible experience. Be careful. No showed us, terrible experience
Paul was great! He knew plenty of information (both historical and fun facts) but didn't make it boring at all. The food was also delicious and were very full by the end.Great Food, very informative
We were six girlfriends visiting Tallin, and this is the first time we tried a food -tour, and we loved it. We learned a lot about history of Tallin/Estonia, and got to taste food/drinks and see places we wouldnt have, havent it been for Paul! He gets our highest recommandations! First timers- and we loved it!
Very knowledgeable and easy going! Capable of covering a wide range of subjects - would highly recommend. Great tour guide
Our walking tour with Lauri was exceptional. We really enjoyed his expertise and company. Highly recommended in Tallinn
The private walking tour was great and I would definitely recommend! Paul had a lot of historical and cultural information to share and showed us all the main sights of Tallin. We had only a few hours in Tallin and this tour helped us maximise our time there - we learnt and saw a lot in a short period of time.
Paul was also really flexible. He met us at the ferry terminal and started the tour at a different point (which would normally not be a part of the tour). He also stayed with us for a longer period of time in order to show us all the main sights of the city. All in all a really nice experience which I would definitely recommend. If you read this Paul -Thanks again! Tallin walking tour with Paul
We really didn't know much about Talinn or Estonia and therefore didn't have any expectations. We were pleasantly surprised by the beauty and history of this city, expertly delivered by Paul. We thoroughly enjoyed the food we tried!! My only suggestion is too communicate the meeting point in detail. We waited in an area that was wrong for several minutes. Paul made it special!
Paul was a very knowledgeable guide, explaining the history behind behind sites and making recommendations on where to shop and eat. Great guide
