We have taken several food tours in our travels but Elana's was by far the best. She took us to two different family-owned restaurants. The way she was greeted was like she was a member of the family. The service the staff provided us was second to none and they treated us like family. Had such a brilliant time with Jose wandering the streets of Seville eating and drinking delicious things. He picked us up from our accommodation (even though it was off the beaten track) and pointed out places to eat, shop, drink and sightsee in the area, and helped us plan our stay. We had great fun eating and drinking in the old town, trying lots of delicious tapas, beer and wines. He’s hugely passionate about food and drink and really knows some of the best local places to eat as well as everyone in them. Couldn’t recommend him highly enough! Definitely worth doing at the start of your stay so he can give you loads of advice about what to do on your trip. He’s a lovely warm, entertaining host and brilliant company. A highly recommended option if you have some time to visit the city and you only have a few hours, go hand in hand with someone who knows the most important things and takes you, through the history of the city, to interpret its evolution and building your present. We were a very nice group, I had a lot of fun with the company and with Samuel, who was both a kind and friendly historian and a wonderful guide. Chapeau. The difficult thing for me was valuing his work with a payment. Everything seemed little to me for a person like Samuel who has worked hard on the story and who has been so pleasant. Elena put together a great itinerary. We spent o good amount of time in the food market which was good in terms of understanding local produce, the food and drink we sampled and Elena’s hospitality. We headed into Tirana to some great venues and tasted food and drink we have never heard of. He is an expert at knowing Sevilla and besides taking us to some awesome local spots he also gave us a ton of recommendations on where to eat for the rest of our trip. We also were lucky enough to book this on the night of the pilgrimage return to Sevilla and he made a point of us experiencing that as well. This was so cool and not something we would have otherwise known about! Incredible experience with Jose. You get to experience where locals go, what they order, and how they eat it. and you get recommendations for things to do and where to eat for your entire trip. The path forward is wherever the vibe of the night takes you. Jose is incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and funny. I can’t imagine having come here without this experience.
