Jon was absolutely the best tour guide we have ever had and we do walking tours every time we travel. He was so knowledgeable about London and also gave us insight into the crown. "The Crown Film Locations & Royal Secrets" Tour with John was very accessible for our family of eight with members varying from "The Crown" fans, to history buffs, to folks having never watched "The Crown" and not quite familiar with the history of the royals. We had The Crown tour with John 17th January and had really pleasant time with John! John was an excellent guide and knew very much about the series and royal history. He had interesting stories about the royal family, his experiences with them and British history and we also got to see many places that appear in The Crown. He knew answers to our questions but also was very careful not to give any false information. John was very polite and friendly and was always paying attention to us and making sure the pace was okay for us. And if we wanted to stay somewhere longer to take some photos, that was fine with some. We got the the impression that John really enjoys guiding tours and he had no hurry even though our tour run a little longer than 2.5 hours. The walking tour was a great way to explore London. John also showed us some hidden gems in the city! We had a wonderful time and could recommend John and The Crown tour to anyone. One of us hadn't seen the series but both of us enjoyed the tour so much! Thank you John!An excellent experience!

We throughly enjoyed our tour with John. We had corresponded a bit before we decided on which tour we would be able to take. John was so pleasant and gave us a lot of information on the possible tours and was as flexible as his schedule permitted. Being that we contacted him on short notice, he was so gracious to do his best to accommodate us. We had our 9 and 7 year sons with us and I was a little nervous how they would act with John. The kids loved it. John was very engaged with them and had them participate in activities while giving us the tour. He even gave them prizes! Johns tour was a highlight for the boys. The Crown tour its self was great! I watch the series so I enjoyed it greatly. My husband does not watch it yet John was able to explain all the history so well to him. Due to it getting dark at around 4:30 John had to rearrange some parts of the tour so it would better suite us and we could get the best out of our time with him. Again he went above and beyond and we were so appreciative. We highly recommend John and his tours. He is so nice and very knowledgeable. He really enjoys giving his tours and it shows.An afternoon delight!

My husband and I were fortunate to have found this tour with John England Tours. We spent the day with John touring Chartwell and a nearby town, Chiddingstone. I reached out to John about the tour and he was very responsive and helped to plan the day based on what we were interested in. He provided all the relevant information and where to meet which was very helpful. As we drove to Chartwell, he pointed out many historical sites. He is easy to talk to and is good at reading his clientele. We enjoyed the conversation. John is very knowledgeable and we thoroughly enjoyed the time spent with him. We walked through the beautiful grounds of Chartwell and he shared historical information and stories about the Churchill's and the estate. He explained before we entered the house that there are docents in each room and that he would share additional information or answer questions if needed. It worked very well and we talked as we walked between rooms. We also went to Churchill's studio where he did his painting and where many of his works were on display. The tour was everything we hoped it would be. He then took us to Chiddingstone where he had arranged for us to have lunch at a local tea room which was charming. We had an amazing and full morning with John at Down House. Planning the day with John was made easy with quick responses and accommodations for our schedule. We promptly were retrieved and taken to Down House, where we were the first to arrive and had access to Darwin's home and working areas almost exclusively for a few hours. John really enhanced our experience by facilitating a meeting in Darwin's office and living areas with experts on site, thus giving privacy and attention to our visit. John met us at the train station. We were an hour later than expected, and he was very accommodating. He drove us through the countryside, giving explanations as we went. We arrived at Pooh Corner much later than our reservation time, but John had called ahead, and they graciously kept our table for us. We had an absolutely delicious lunch, which had plenty of vegan and gluten free options. Since the weather was rainy and therefore muddy, we had to forego walking in Ashdown Forest to Poohsticks Bridge. To make up for that, John arranged for us to meet the owner of Pooh Corner, who told us lots of details about the real Christopher Robin and Pooh. I was even allowed to hold a 100-year-old bear exactly like the original Pooh! We were then driven back to the train station. John was a delightful guide!Delightful visit to Pooh Corner

He provided useful reminder emails, clear directions to the meeting place, safe driving, interesting comments about the village we passed through and, of course was knowledgeable about the venue we visited. I would highly recommend taking the Highlights and Hidden Gems of London tour with John. It was a great way to get acquainted with the city at the beginning of my trip to London with my mom. John was extremely kind and attentive. He tailored our tour to accommodate our schedule and interests. He treated us to a cappuccino mid tour since my mom needed a bit of a break from the walking which we didn't expect him to do but was extremely generous and hospitable of him. I went back to John for a second Tour. This time we visited the city of London. John was very helpful. We even had time in the morning to have some coffee at a coffee shop and chat for a bit. We walked around the city while he provided some great history. We had the pleasure to chase the horses at the palace as well so that we could get a good video. Lol. We laughed after we ran. We had the best time on our tour with John! Our Medieval and Tudor England Private Day Tour in Kent visiting Hever and Leeds Castles with John was one of the highlights of our trip. The directions he gave us for meeting him outside of London were very easy and he even brought a booster seat for our four year old daughter, which was very convenient not having to bring ours across London. John was very knowledgable about both locations and the area, we definitely got more out of our trip with his tour versus us doing it on our own. It was my husband and my first trip to London and since we are fans of Churchill we wanted to visit his home. As I was searching the internet for guides, I came across John. His reviews were top notch so I thought I'd use him and boy am I glad I did. John was terrific. So very knowledgeable and informative about the area as well as the home and gardens.
